Kwik Kar Customer Service Issue

Kwik Kar, I am a 76-year-old woman who took my car to the Kwik Kar near Marsh and Beltline for an oil change. I was told I had three fluids needing to be corrected, costing $129 each. They also said my brakes were going to need to be replaced soon. I was hesitant, but went ahead with the suggestions.I will never again go to any Kwik Kar. I will do my best to see that I tell as many people as I can that they should also not go there. Read the comments from Next Door below. 1. Beware of the Kwik Kar on Midway and Trinity Mills! Took my 2023 car that just rolled over 10,000 miles in for an oil change. The guy calls me out in the garage to tell me my filter is dirty and my coolant is low. I asked to see the filter and to me, it was snow white! He said as far as the coolant was concerned, they had to flush it out to put more in and it would be $129.99. Told him nope. Then he said how about $99.00. At this point, I started to get serious shady vibes and said I was leaving and going somewhere else for my oil change. He said they had already started it. I said fine, just do it and nothing else. I left and went directly to another place and had my coolant and filter checked and they said my filter was so clean, there wasn’t even any dust and my coolant was perfectly fine! He came into the waiting room to tell me I needed to replace my air filter and showed me a filthy one. What he didn’t know was that I had replaced the air and cabin filters the day before. Busted! 3. I just went in for a simple oil change. I did not ask them to check my car out. I had brought all my previous cars there when a couple named Mark and Diane owned it and never had problems. My next oil change, I will take my car to the dealership!

Kwik Kar, I am a 76 year old man. On sept 28th 2024 I texted this store and they called me back about 2 hours later. I exlpained I needed a pc installed and programed into my 2013 Ford F150. After informing me they can do the job, I requested the location and took truck to them the same day. Upon arrival I showed them I had a new pc.with me and gave it to them.They took my phone # and said they will notify me in a day or so. Well they never did, in fact I called them back that following tuesday.They said at end of the day we’ll notifyed. Nothing. I called back and asked for a manager to ask about how soon it will take to do a 3minute job. It’s been 6 days now. He replyed: no one to program pc and waiting on programer Business is one thing but neglect is wnat is in play here. Believe I kwow the difference. Business would not excepted the job and held my truck a week with no notifications of any kind but neglect and would. Today I will go and get my truck from that store because of the three things that are used against a man there. My first step is to inform you of this action at that store. I feel he never intended to render any service to me once he saw me.This is my review and what I have gone through again by soch as this man at thar store. The following is a message I sent to the Kwik Kar in San Angelo, Texas 8/7/23. Absolute disregard for the customer.

I wanted to pass along my disappointment with your oil change service. At check-in, I told the lady what oil I wanted in my car. I also provided a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer to add to the oil change. I was charged for a full capacity change even though I provided one quart myself. When I paid for the service it noted that another weight of oil had been used, and it was fully synthetic. I didn’t ask for full synthetic and didn’t get the weight oil I asked for. When I brought this to your attention the person told me that this is what “was called for”. I am the customer and ought to get what I asked for, not disregarded like I don’t know what I am talking about. The receipt also said the windshield was washed; it was not. It showed that the carpets were vacuumed’ but they were not. It showed that the tire pressure was checked; they were not. I know this because I was aware that the front right tire was five pounds below the others when I brought it in. It was the same when I left. Now I have to question what else I was not being told the truth about. It states you checked the transmission fluid. Did you actually do it? Do you know that there is no dipstick to do that on this vehicle? How was that done? I won’t be using your service again and will pass along my experience to anyone I can. I don’t believe I was told the truth and am not at all pleased to have oil in this car I didn’t ask for.

Kwik Kar Brake job not right

Went in in May and had the front brakes done. Seem to be ok. Went back in July and had the rear brakes done. They were not done right. Had the vehicle back in there 2 more times. They are still not right. Corporate won’t answer. Spent over 1000.00
