How to File a Lufthansa Complaint

  1. Gather your six-character booking code, 13-digit ticket number, flight number, travel date, boarding pass, and receipts.
  2. If the problem is occurring at the airport, speak with Lufthansa staff before leaving. For disability-related concerns, ask for a Complaint Resolution Official.
  3. For baggage problems, create a delayed or damaged baggage report at the airport and keep the Property Irregularity Report reference number.
  4. Submit post-travel feedback through Lufthansa’s official complaint and feedback forms.
  5. Call North America Customer Relations at 1-516-738-4422 when follow-up is needed.
  6. Keep the feedback ID, case number, emails, receipts, photographs, and a dated record of every contact attempt.
  7. If Lufthansa does not resolve a qualifying U.S. air-travel complaint, passengers may submit it to the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Lufthansa Refund and Cancellation Assistance

Customers who purchased directly from Lufthansa can begin with “My bookings,” the Lufthansa Chat Assistant, or the company’s refund form. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

If a ticket was purchased through a travel agency, online travel site, cruise company, employer portal, or credit-card travel service, that seller may control the refund or ticket change. Contact the seller first while retaining the Lufthansa ticket number and booking code.

Delayed, Lost, or Damaged Lufthansa Baggage

Report delayed, missing, or damaged baggage to the airport baggage service before leaving whenever possible. Keep the baggage tag, airport report number, photographs, and original receipts for necessary replacement purchases. Lufthansa provides additional reporting and tracking tools through its baggage assistance page.

Airline support warning: Fake Lufthansa customer-service numbers frequently appear in advertisements, social-media posts, forums, and unofficial travel pages. Confirm telephone numbers through Lufthansa.com or your booking confirmation. Never provide an unexpected caller with your Travel ID password, Miles & More password, one-time security code, passport details, or complete payment-card number.

About Lufthansa and the Lufthansa Group

The legal foundation of today’s Deutsche Lufthansa AG was established in 1953, and flight operations began in 1955. Lufthansa Airlines is the group’s principal German passenger airline, operating primarily through hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.

Lufthansa is part of the Lufthansa Group, a global aviation company whose businesses include passenger airlines, logistics, aircraft maintenance and repair, and other aviation services. Group passenger airlines include Lufthansa Airlines, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, and Eurowings. Lufthansa is also a founding member of Star Alliance.

Carsten Spohr serves as chief executive officer and chairman of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. Lufthansa Group shares trade in Germany under the stock symbol LHA.

Lufthansa Competitors and Related Airlines

Lufthansa competes for international and transatlantic passengers with European carriers such as British Airways, Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic. It also competes with U.S. airlines including American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and JetBlue.

Travelers commonly compare these airlines based on nonstop destinations, fares, baggage policies, refund handling, alliance benefits, airport connections, loyalty programs, premium cabins, and customer service during disruptions.

Lufthansa Reviews and Complaints on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com

One Lufthansa customer review is currently visible on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com. The December 2022 reviewer reported purchasing seat reservations through Priceline, discovering that the seats had been canceled, and being directed between Priceline and Lufthansa while seeking a refund exceeding $1,000. The reviewer stated that several months passed without a satisfactory response.

This is an individual user-submitted account and has not been independently verified by CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com. With only one visible review, there is not enough COH feedback to calculate a reliable overall rating or establish a broader complaint trend.

Lufthansa Our Seats Were Canceled

December 13, 2022

We booked our vacation through Priceline and PAID for seats. Our seats were canceled without notice so we did not know until our flights. We told them we paid for seats and were told that they were canceled. We get home and I spoke to Priceline 3 different times and 3 different times was told something different. First, I was told that I had to wait 15 days to get the refund, I waited the 15 days and called back for them to tell me the refund would take 30 days so, I waited 30 days and still no refund, so I call back and they tell me I have to contact Lufthansa because they need to refund me not Priceline ( they could’ve told me that the first time I called). So I contact Lufthansa and they tell me I need to go to the email they gave me to fill out a form. I did that and I got a message stating that due to high volume it will take a little longer it’s been 3 months and 2 more emails with NO ANSWERS STILL.

I could see if it was a few hundred dollars but, it was over $1000 and I can’t see or justify it. My next step is to contact the BBB and see if I can get this resolved that way.

I’m at my wit’s end with how this is handled and the endless amount of hours on the phone/computer. How can a company scam customers out of money and get away with it??

CROOKS!
