Mercedes Benz, A Textbook example of how to not sell…anything. Here is a true tail of my first Mercedes Benz buying experience: A couple in their early to mid 60’s, nicely dressed, walk into the front door. The person at the greeting desk is on the phone looks up, then leans to her left, sliding 80% under the counter top. Odd, but the body language is abundantly clear. We slowly walk the floor expecting a greeting, which after our second lap, did not happen. I was able to identify the vehicle of interest sitting outside, so we exited the building and walked to the vehicle of interest. After two laps around the AMG GLC 43 SUV and a long look in the window, we strolled back inside for some assistance. Without losing my dignity, I could not have been more direct in interest in this vehicle. Nevertheless, back into the dealership facility we walked for assistance and two laps later, without any acknowledgement that we so much existed, not even from the parts guy (who looked bored), we departed. Team, I have been in sales management and sales training for 33 years. This is the first time I have seen any retail organization fail so epically. Millions of dollars are spent to get prospects to the front door. Here is your sales tip of the day: A quality buying experience starts at that front door, at that first interaction.

Mercedes Benz, Poor Customer Service. I’m leaving names out at this point but if you would like to hear them please let me know and I will share them with you. Bought a vehicle from them on 1-7. Initially nice and accommodating. We found a vehicle we liked and while going through the vehicle found an item that was not working and needed to be fixed. Salesman told us it would be an easy fix and could have it repaired/replaced the next day. Negotiated a price and went to finance. During the first set of docs they had the original sticker price of the car on the doc, and a monthly payment for that price. This was not the price we agreed upon. Finance person presented to us a second doc for signature. This one again had the wrong price and monthly payment. They finally got it right on the third set of docs. We were told they would call the next day to schedule a day to replace broken item. No call. Called the following day and service had no notes that this was to be done. Contacted salesman and he said was going on his days off and would get on it when he returned. Next day called the manager to try it get the fix scheduled. Was told he was with customer and would call afterward. No return call. Called the General Manager, was told he was with customer. No return call. Terrible customer service. Once they’ve made the sell apparently you are no longer of any importance to them. Our trade-in was a Mercedes that we bought at Ontario MB. I would highly recommend them for purchase. We only went to Riverside because they had a better selection of the model the wife wanted, but the treatment of their customers is like day and night.

Own a s class it’s a dog trouble since new in the shop again this time they told me they lost the car. Now they found it at a different dealer but are unable to tell me when it will be fixed this experience can only. Be a Saturday night live skit.
