US Bank Disappointing Experience

US Bank, My disabled daughter was targeted in a Zelle scam involving a spoofed US Bank caller ID and fake transaction details. Despite reporting it promptly and taking all necessary steps, including filing with multiple agencies, US Bank denied her claim and provided little guidance on how to appeal. For someone dependent on a fixed income, their lack of support and empathy is unacceptable.

US Bank ATM Issue

US Bank ATM took $2000. US Bank doesn’t care and takes their time if they take your money, but they are really quick at taking your money from you. I went to a US Bank ATM to withdraw $2,000 for my mortgage payment one morning before the branch opened. Right as the ATM was counting my withdrawal, the ATM shut down, I panicked, stayed with the ATM machine and contacted customer service. As we were speaking the $2,000 was automatically credited back to my account, I decided to wait until the branch opened to withdraw the money which I ended up doing later that afternoon. The teller who assisted me said that a few other people had the same ATM issue, but they still declined to put an Out of Service sign on it, instead they continued knowing this machine was malfunctioning. I pulled the $2,000 out and thought we were all good until the next morning when I see that my account was negative $1,900 because they reprocessed the $2,000 ATM withdrawal that never provided me with funds. I called customer service, they put in an ATM dispute and said I had to wait 10 business days for provisional fund until the investigation is complete. What they don’t seem to understand is that we live paycheck to paycheck, payments that were set on automatic withdrawal are now being rejected, my cell service will be disconnected since I can’t pay it and I will have to pay a late fee and a reconnection fee, my car payment won’t be processed, I will have no money to buy food for my kids or get gas to go to work but do they care? Nope! All they say is, ” I understand, and you just have to wait”. US Bank took my money, my own bank is robbing me with no care in the world that I have to suffer the repercussion of late fees, no food, no gas money, anxiety, physical stress and negative credit reporting. I thought I was keeping my money secure with US Bank, now I can’t even trust them.

I have been with US Bank for years, and am so happy with the customer service I receive. Today, I met with Jacob Haley in the Fenton, Missouri Branch. He was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He listened intently, offered excellent advice, and made me feel so welcome. I just want to thank him for being so wonderful!
