Stayed at the La Quinta resort and spa. Worst hotel experience of my life.
My wife and I checked in and they said they gave us a complimentary upgrade room. It was a down grade instead. We paid for a king with private patio and we got a queen instead. The room had Red Mites crawling all over the room. Went to the front desk and they moved us to a room with a King and more red mites all over. Woke up with them crawling on me and my wife sunday I pluged the hotel IRON into the wall plug and it exploded and through me 5 feet across the room. Went to the front desk and got my room changed again and a sorry for your inconvenience. Then monday check out get handed a resort fee bill. I asked to speak with the manager and was told they would wave the resort fee and credit us back one night.
The whole weekend was ruined. And no accountability for almost killing me. Not seriously injury thank god. Never would of expected this or the treatment from the staff after a horrifying accident in there hotel. They didnt even check if i was ok once.
Shameful.
The Waldorf Astoria in Key West is shameful. There are holes in the carpet, doors are warped, room not cleaned until five thirty pm, no wash cloths, understaffed.
Im actually staying here right now till Saturday july 15 would like to stay till 16th. Not happy the staff wasn't kind to my wife and me last night at check in after being stuck in the airport for 14 hrs because it was canceled. I get here on our honeymoon. The staff treated us LIKE nothing waited 40mins for shuttle to bring us to room never came then front desk drove us an just drop us off never told us where to go walk to our room we walk around for over 45 mins at 12 o'clock at night not good. I was so thristy could not find ice anywhere walk around searching never did find it till today. Then there was no toliet paper no safe it was lock the shower was dirty. I was so tired i went to sleep an said i call an figure it out in morning to.my wife.not one person would help me or give me another night to make up for all went threw an tolrated since i did not get here till 12am an all the things that were wrong i feel like my wife was so disappointed an sad because it was honeymoon an so much went wrong. I am a very humbled person an kind an would never expect that no one would not rectify the sitition like the the airline by saying the will let us leave a day later at No charge they said just call hotel an tell them all i told them an they will give something for all your problems an may give you a additional night. So i called an i was told they will help for 300 more dollars i was in shock that they wouldnt fix the sititution that was not right an make me feel better about all that happen. Instead they treated us so poorly an would not help us at all unless we paid a additional 429 no wait 300 crazy how they treat people that are just kind polite ive never been so hurt or sadden that they would not extend our stay one more night at no cost knowing i came all this way an because the terrible experience that happen upon arrival. I really cant believe that no one will help us unless we spend 300 more dollars.

My treatment at la quinta was so horendous. I am going to spread the word. #laquinta
