AAMCO Sugarhill GA Disappointing

February 3, 2025

AAMCO, Rebuilt transmission. Worst ever.. 2 1/2 months and they still have my car… Sugarhill, GA. AAMCO- Your word is your bond, kept telling me it’s ready, transmission was still Slipping.. next time he says it has a water leak so he wanted to fix that.. then when I check on it again, he says it’s the transmission and he knows what the problem is and he’s going to fix it, this is after he rebuilt the transmission… and then the next time I call he’s going to drive it around and make sure it’s working good.. I haven’t heard anything from him.. I don’t understand why it’s OK to take someone’s money when the job is not completed..

AAMCO Frustrating Customer Service

January 24, 2025

AAMCO, My vehicle is being held against my will. My vehicle was sent to AAMCO in Washington DC @ 1001 Bladensburg Rd. No services were done because my warranty did not cover it. I never received a call in regard to picking it. Upon arrival, I was told $1500 was required to release my vehicle that had no services done. Shortly later an employee tried to negotiate down to $1100. I have filed a police report as well as notified headquarters in regard to this issue.

AAMCO Gondal Auto Vineland NJ Poor Service

November 12, 2024

Dear Gondal Auto Repair Team, Happy Veterans Day 2024. As of this email, no one has contacted me regarding the work status of my vehicle, which has already been paid for. This lack of follow-up is disappointing and reflects poorly on your business model.

Having served over 25 years in the armed forces, I’ve rarely experienced customer service this inadequate. This situation makes me wonder if my concerns are being dismissed or disregarded, and it leaves me questioning the commitment to respect and service provided to all customers.

AAMCO Alexandria VA Disappointing Customer Service

October 1, 2024

Absolutely horrific and irritating transmission service. Dear AAMCO Corporate, I had transmission issue in June of 2023, I had heard great things about the AAMCO office in Alexandria Virgina, specifically the South Pickett office. I brought my car in, and they replaced my transmission for $3,000 dollars which was great and seemed reasonable. However, the car had a ticking sound after receiving it back from the shop, when brought to their attention they told me they didn’t hear anything even though they only turned it on and didn’t test drive it after installing the new transmission. After the team at AAMCO “fixed” the ticking (which was never fixed it continued to tick for a year after I got it serviced), about a year later in march of ’24 I took the car back in to fix the ticking sound and it finally got fixed but they messed with something when fixing it and my check engine light continued to come on for the next 3-4 months. I brought my car into AAMCO Four Times, and the transmission still isn’t fixed, and I haven’t received the past two invoices from the visit to the shop and they still have my car after 2 weeks of “service”. This office has horrible communication, they haven’t called me in 3 days, I have to call them in order to get any information or updates about my vehicle. As well as they took my car to the dealership without notifying me, they never gave me the dealership invoice for the service done or the invoice that was done at their shop. I’ve contacted them several times in order to receive said invoices and they continue to tell me “They will get to it”, their extremely disrespectful and terrible with communication. Something needs to be done, because not communicating with the customers is ignorant and uncalled for.
