Capital One, Multiple choice “Help” & “Customer Service”. Capital One, Does Not have customer service. They have AI, robo-menus, & employees in other countries (often with accents that make it Very hard to understand their scripted responses. Disgusting! I had an unusual, ‘non-standard’ problem with my account & spent well over an hour trying to get to the proper department to help me. After speaking with Four different reps, on Four different calls, repeating my information & problem ad nauseum, I was shuttled to the same d@*# number I started with…. Where I couldn’t break through the robo-menu [remember, this is a non-standard problem, which robo-menus don’t handle…. There’s not even an ‘other’ category!!] Unconscionable!! *** I received an email, with links embedded which go to Your company website, notifying me that I had been declined for an auto loan I never applied for ***I’ve had this account for decades, have an excellent record & score. I will be closing my account, because Capital One clearly cannot service or safeguard me, my info, or credit. Buh bye!

Capital One keeps sending me offers to my mom at my address. Not only does she not live here or ever did, she died in 2023. I’ve contacted them multiple times and filed a complaint with the BBB and they still keep her on their mailing list.

Capital One, Late Fees! I Have been a customer for over 15 years, I just noticed that I have been charged a late fee for 6 times, In Error! I called and spoke to 4 different people, no one would help me! I asked to have the late fees waived! It’s absolutely crazy! And, 3 of the staff I spoke with had heavy accents, and I had a hard time understanding them. They kept saying they cannot reverse the charge! Well someone can, Hence this text!!

Capital One, No customer support for incorrect charge. I rented a car from Avis in Massachusetts. I clocked 211 miles. I was changed $214 for tolls in New Jersey and New York. Problem is how do you rack up $214 in tolls when you only travel 211 miles? Also, NY is 250 miles from where I rented the car. I contacted Avis e-toll. They admitted the charges were not mine but would not refund the $214. After providing a copy of the e-mail saying they were not mine and a copy of my rental receipt showing 211 miles driven, Capital One would not help me with the vendor only saying that the vendor said the charges were mine. Even, after providing Capital One with the e-mail from Avis saying it was not mine. So disappointed with Capital One after being a customer for over 25 years. Seriously considering dropping my card with Capital One.

Capital One, Issue 1/15/2025 regarding Deposits and payments not going through is unacceptable. Without funds, vacation had to be canceled and I will be talking to an attorney about filing suit for getting airfare, lodging and rental vehicle reimbursement. I will be leaving this bank once the finally get it corrected. Customer service is pathetic at best if you are able to actually get through them. Calls either hang up on you, or you wait for hours, just to get hung up on.
