  • My husband and I went to the Dennys located in Temple Tx. We were promptly seated then totally ignored. No one ever came to even get our drink order. Three tables ere seated after us and all were promptly waited on. It’s like we were invisible. It’s really sad because we were hoping to give a waitress there a very nice tip since our daughters are also waitresses and we know how much they rely on their tips. After 15 min. Of waiting and being ignored we left.

  • ON MAY 14TH WE VISITED THE DENNYS ON 16TH ST. IN YUMA AZ ITS THE ONLY DENNYS IN YUMA AND WE HAD A GROUP OF 6 THE LADY WAS A GREAT SERVER BUT THE PLACE WAS ICE COLD,BY THE TIME YOU COULD FINISH YOUR FOOD IT WAS ICE COLD AND THE HOT COFFEE BECAME ICE TEA ,I EVEN ASK THE WAITRESS FOR A BLANKET SO I COULD PUT OVER MYSELF WHY I ATE ,NO LUCK I ASKED FOR A MANAGER , WITH NO LUCK WE JUST,TRYED TO HURRY UP SO WE COULD GET OUT OF THERE,WE WILL NOT VISIT THERE ANY MORE DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT A COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURE ,WE WILL GO TO IHOP OR CRAKER BARREL UNTIL THE COLD WEATHER STARTS IN YUMA AZ IN LATE OCTOBER.

  • Took my cousin to Denny's for her birthday lunch (but before I start I eat at Dennys at lease once or twice a month I love the food and the place) This occurred 04/26/22 when we entered the restaurant the floor appeared to be wet, we thought that perhaps some one has spilled something. After we sat down and placed our order there was a woman spraying the floor with water then scrubbing the floor with what appeared to be a stiff bristled barn broom and then she was running a scrubbing machine (not sure about that but it was a machine) not only was this loud it was very annoying I guess my question on this matter is could this not be done at the 11pm to 7am shift.?

  • I have been going to Dennys at the Flying J truck stop for years. Up to this point, I have received excellent service, and the staff was friendly. But lately the service has been horrible and the different waitresses that are now there are rude and ignore you till you say something. This is not the Dennys I knew and loved. Something has got to be done to change this.

  • Dennys in Shenandoah, TX 28669 I-45 North
My wife and I enter Denny’s and wait to be seated. Shortly after, a man appearing to be in his 50’s wearing an untucked polo shirt hanging sloppily down to his hips approaches, stops to face us and says absolutely nothing. I’m only guessing, but based on his attire, he may be the manager or a shift supervisor of some sort, not a waiter. So now we are all facing each other, I decide to say “Good morning” because it’s obvious he wants us to be the first to speak. He then says “Two?” and adds “Good morning…”. After we confirm it’s just two of us, there is a very long awkward pause followed by the man saying something to the effect of “I have to think where I sat the last person(s)”, he then gestures for us to follow him. We follow him to an area where he stops, turns around and holds his arms out without saying one word. I am assuming he is trying to let us know we are free to choose any of the available seating around him, table or booth. We chose the booth and proceed to sit, however as I’m about to sit, he leans toward me and asks “what does your shirt say in the back?”. I turn my body slightly to show him and I say “Where America’s Day Begins”, the man produces a disapproving smirk, which I can only guess means he is not impressed. It is noteworthy to mention that I am wearing a T-shirt that says “Guam U.S.A.” in the front, with a design and words in the back that say “Where America’s Day Begins”. The man then says something to the effect of “I’m surprised that even shows up on a map”, to which I respond, “yeah, it’s a pretty important island”. The man responds back: “I would think that other place somewhere below Florida, what is it called….?” To which I interject “Guantanamo Bay?”, he says “yes, I would think that is more important”. At this point, I have no idea how to react, I don’t know if this person is just completely clueless, but I then respond with “They have a lot of military bases on Guam”. His response to this was a rushed “yes, yes….”, indicating he knows this. The exchange was already insulting, awkward and unpleasant, I did not know where this guy is trying to go with this comments. Perhaps he sensed I was feeling annoyed at this point and somehow ended the dialogue with something like “ok, well enjoy your meal….” or some other basic phrase I can’t recall in order to wrap up the conversation and be on his way.
My wife and I sat there astonished, disgusted and shocked. My wife asked “do you want to eat somewhere else?” I turned my head back and looked to see where the man was, he was a distance away, possibly preparing to sit other guests. However he glanced over at me, it was apparent that he was still very aware of my presence or curious about me for whatever reason, our eyes met, he lifted one hand with palm facing up as if to say “yes? What’s up?”, I didn’t say anything, he then gestures with a thumbs up as if to say “everything good?”. At this point I’m wondering what in the world is going on with the guy. I turn to my wife and tell her we need to leave. As I walk past him, he says “is something wrong?”, I ignored him and we left.
Please know the following: My father is from Guam, he is part of the indigenous population of this U.S. territory and served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam. Many of Guam’s residents currently serve in the military and countless others are veterans. I was born on Guam and lived there for 20 years of my life. Why is an employee of this restaurant insulting me with condescending, ignorant and rude remarks about the island I come from? I did not want to cause a scene, but I was fuming inside, this is absolutely unacceptable behavior from an employee of a recognized establishment, much less a manager/supervisor. I have gone to this restaurant many times before, not so much in recent months, but will no longer be dining here.
