  1. Famous Dave's is slowly becoming unfamous in my book. The total lack of professionalism is astounding. I don't feel the need to spell it all out, but when dealing with catering, just be forewarned that you may get the run around. It almost seems like they don't know what they are doing, and with the amount of money that I had planned to spend for an event, I will now spend it elsewhere. I don't feel like I should have to chase you down to do business with me. I am sure there are other establishments who will more than welcome my money.

  2. On Thursday, December 10, 2015, I went to the Famous Dave’s Restaurant in Owings Mills, Maryland. I ordered the one half Barbecue chicken and it was extremely delicious, along with my sides. However, the delivery of a very fine meal on what was extremely reminiscent of a prison tray with a plan piece of the thinnest paper that I had to wrestle with after I put the Devil’s Spit barbecue sauce on my chicken. The paper was not parchment paper; it was a piece of paper so thin it was extremely ridiculous. I had my waitress page the manager and I advised him that it was extremely difficult to eat on this prison type tray and this thin paper. The reason that I am taking the time to write to you should be self explanatory. I think it is utterly gross and unprofessional to serve barbecued products on an extremely thin piece of brown paper that can’t even hold up to the sauce or the food. No one should have to double check each bite just to make sure you are not preparing to eat a piece of paper.
Who ever came up with this absolute debacle should be disciplined severely. I can assure you that I have been a good patron; however I will never eat in a Famous Dave’s restaurant again until such time as these prison trays and ridiculous paper are removed, and patrons are again served their meals on plates like every other restaurant. A knife cuts through paper, but it does nothing to a plate. I will check back to see if guests are still being served their meals on trays with see through paper. If I find that this degrading practice is continuing then I will educate every forum that I am associated with to boycott you restaurant. Since I worked in the food industry as an apprentice cook, I know that a plate is a sterilized item; we cannot assure that a piece of paper carries that same level of cleanness. Your response to these issues would be greatly appreciated.

    1. your making a big deal about a piece of paper? Man your life must be tough. All of the other comments are legitimate and your saying you are not sure if the paper is sanitary? No one wants nit picky person like you in their restaurant. If you want fully sanitary learn how to cook for yourself and use your own paper. GTFO First world problem issues.
