Fifth Third Bank Corporate Office and Headquarters Contact Information

Headquarters / Corporate Office Update

Fifth Third Bancorp’s corporate headquarters are located at Fifth Third Center, 38 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati, Ohio 45263. The older version of this page correctly listed the Cincinnati headquarters address, but it labeled 1-800-972-3030 as both the corporate phone number and customer service number.

In this update, 1-800-972-3030 is identified as Fifth Third Bank customer service, fraud support, and lost or stolen card support, because Fifth Third’s official customer service resources direct account-related questions to that number. A separate public corporate headquarters switchboard number was not verified for routine consumer issues.

For formal written correspondence, use the corporate headquarters address at Fifth Third Center, 38 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati, OH 45263. For investor-related issues, use Fifth Third Investor Relations rather than general customer service.

  • The last four digits of the account or card involved
  • Transaction date, amount, merchant, recipient, or payment details
  • Branch location, banker name, or department name, if relevant
  • Copies of statements, letters, screenshots, or case numbers
  • A short written timeline of what happened and the resolution you are requesting

Do not post account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, PINs, one-time verification codes, full card numbers, tax documents, or private financial information in public reviews or comment sections.

How to Escalate a Fifth Third Bank Complaint

Start with Fifth Third Bank directly. Use the support number, branch, online banking message center, mobile app, or department-specific contact route tied to your issue. Ask for a case number, reference number, or written confirmation when the matter involves a dispute, fee, fraud claim, loan servicing issue, credit card problem, tax document, or account closure.

If the issue remains unresolved, send a concise written complaint to Fifth Third’s headquarters at Fifth Third Center, 38 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati, OH 45263. Include only the information needed to identify the account and issue. Do not include full account numbers unless you are using a secure bank-provided channel.

Because Fifth Third Bank, National Association is a national bank, some unresolved banking complaints may also be appropriate for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency through HelpWithMyBank.gov. Consumers may also submit certain financial product or service complaints to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Fraud, Disputes, Cards, and Account Access Issues

For suspected fraud, a lost or stolen card, unauthorized activity, or suspicious account access, contact Fifth Third immediately using an official phone number from 53.com, your card, your statement, or the mobile app. Fast reporting is important because fraud claims, unauthorized transfer claims, card disputes, and account access problems can be time-sensitive.

For transaction disputes, gather the date, amount, merchant name, account used, receipt or confirmation number, and any communication with the merchant. For online banking access issues, use Fifth Third’s official website or app and avoid search-result ads or third-party “support” numbers.

Tax Forms, Securities, and Investment-Related Concerns

Some Fifth Third complaints involve tax documents, investment accounts, 1099 forms, corrected tax forms, or securities-related mailings. These issues may not be handled by a local bank branch. Start with the department or statement contact information tied to the account, then escalate to Fifth Third Securities, shareholder services, or investor relations when appropriate.

If the issue affects tax filing, keep copies of the original form, corrected form, postmark date, account statement, and any communication from Fifth Third. Public comments should not include tax ID numbers, account numbers, or copies of tax forms.

Scam and Fake Support Number Warning

Bank customers are frequent targets for fake support numbers, phishing texts, spoofed phone calls, social media messages, and search ads that impersonate financial institutions. Be cautious with any caller, text, email, or website claiming to represent Fifth Third Bank if it asks for your password, one-time code, PIN, full card number, Social Security number, remote device access, or gift card payment.

Use 53.com, the Fifth Third mobile app, the number printed on your card, or official bank documents when contacting Fifth Third. If you think your account has been compromised, call Fifth Third immediately and consider contacting your card issuer, credit bureaus, or identity theft resources depending on the situation.

Fifth Third Bank Disappointing 1099 Mailing Issue

April 3, 2025

Fifth Third Bank always late in mailing 1099s! Fifth Third Securities really needs to mail out 1099s much sooner than it does, just so investors can have their tax forms prepared and submitted in a timely fashion. If Morgan-Stanley can get out our 1099s early, Fifth Third Securities has no excuse. Another issue is sending out corrected 1099s, after April 15th, after tax returns had been submitted. If it takes until the last week in March to mail 1099s, Fifth Third Securities could, at minimum, get them correct the first time!

Fifth Third Bank Disappointing Department Issue

March 31, 2025

Fifth Third Bank, Difficulty Reaching Department for Account Verification. Fifth Third Bank, I need to verify bank account information for residents on a Section 8 rental program. When the “Fulfillment Specialists” complete the form, they stamp it with the bank’s address, department name, and the main 1-800 phone number. However, when I call that number to confirm receipt of my request and follow up, I’m unable to reach their department. Customer service transfers me to the local branch, but they have no knowledge of the matter. Why not provide a direct contact number for the correct department instead?

Fifth Third Bank Credit Card Issues

March 11, 2025

Fifth Third Bank, Too many credit cards. I have tried to stop your bank from issuing credit cards to a friend that I have power of attorney over. My friend has dementia and uses your credit cards to send money to scammers. I asked how many your company issues to one person. The answer is 3. So far 18 have been issued to my friend. Tell me how to stop it.

Fifth Third Bank Excessive Interest Charge Issue

February 26, 2025

Fifth Third Bank terribly rude and very unhelpful customer service. After paying off my master card with Fifth Third Bank, they charged me More Interest And A Late Fee for not paying those extra charges on time when they did not show that was even owed!! When I asked why I was charged a late fee after the statement balance was the amount I paid in full, they said they have to charge more interest and even more after I turned off auto pay because the way the site is it led me to believe I was paying the entire balance! Fifth Third Bank, this is extortion. The supervisor was the Rudest person I have ever spoken to! She refused to answer my questions about the extra charges, she interrupted me constantly when I was speaking, she Yelled at me over and over and she hung up on me as well. Her name was Gretch in a call center. Fifth Third Bank should be ashamed of themselves for having supervisors who treat customers with distain as if they do not matter!! Customers are Why They Have A Bank and a job, for that matter!! Without us you would not exist. I will never again give you my business when there are plenty of banks who actually value their customers and do not extort money from them after they pay off their loans!! Fifth Third Bank is Shameful!!!
