Giant Eagle, Rude cashier. I was in the check out at greenfield Murray and Loretta store and the cashier asked if if I needed a bag , I replied no I have one she then said “I just need you to answer the question yes or no “ I again said No I have a bag, nothing to say after that ??? Have a nice day, thank you for shopping Giant Eagle, just a disgusted look on her face. Cashier name Alise W Register 2 12/28/24 01:38pm. Just plain rude to a customer !!!!

Giant Eagle Streetsboro OH Management Issue

Giant Eagle, My 95 year old mother had problems in the parking lot. A car hit her while walking on a 30 degree day. She went down police and ambulance were called thankfully she had minor injuries. The employees were excellent but management sent her a letter stating that the parking lot was not under their control. Gave name etc. of people owing parking lot. Not once did they even say anything caring just very cold. She’s 95 I feel they could have compassion and concern about her well being but no. We’ve shopped there since they opened but no longer that’s just wrong. The store is in Streetsboro Ohio and this location needs lessons on how to care about customers. I can’t say enough about the employees they were very kind to her and myself, but the management is terrible.

Giant Eagle Frustrating Policy Changes

Giant Eagle, I’ve had enough with Giant Eagle’s recent changes. Who decided they could dictate how I use my OTC card? If I prefer to use my OTC card before my food stamp card, that should be my choice—not yours! Now, I’m forced to shop elsewhere like Meijer, Marc’s, Walmart, and other stores that let me decide how to use my cards. I used to come to Giant Eagle for the excellent service, product selection, and friendly team members (who are still great but don’t seem as happy). Over time, though, you’ve removed beloved products, and some of the remaining ones feel subpar—like your bacon, which still tastes good but is thinner than it used to be.

It feels like decisions are being made purely for short-term profits, but as customers leave, how will your numbers look then? Please bring back the flexibility for card usage and return Giant Eagle to the store we once loved. This “new way” just isn’t working.

Giant Eagle Disappointing Bakery Issue

Giant Eagle, I went to the bakery to purchase a cake. There were quite a few options around the holiday, which I was pleasantly surprised, however, I had a 10+ minute wait for a bakery staff member to appear. Once she got the cake out of the case, i asked her to write HBD on it and spelled my grandmother’s name, and she responded ‘oh, I don’t think I should, I’m not very good at it’ and stared at me…So I had to purchase* icing and attempt to handle it myself. As a bakery employee, writing on cakes is part of the job description. While I appreciate her honesty, it was bogus that I had to spend more* money on icing and attempt to do it myself.

Giant Eagle Disappointing Shopping Experience

Giant Eagle, Disappointed. I have always loved Giant Eagle, but today I was in there for a few items and went to check out and all there was were self check out lanes. No matter what store I am in I will Not use a self check out. I was once a cashier and I believe that is taking away jobs. Plus the store is not giving me a discount or paying me to do their job. There could have been at least one lane open. I’m sorry but that has really left a bad feeling in my heart. I put my items back and walked out. I received a gift card from work for your store. I’ll use it to get gas. But never in the store.
