Store and Order-Specific Complaint Note

Many Kroger complaints are tied to a specific store, pickup order, delivery order, pharmacy, fuel center, gift card, Shopper’s Card, digital coupon, Kroger Pay transaction, refund request, product recall, department manager, or local store manager.

Before escalating a complaint, identify the exact Kroger store, city, state, date, time, receipt, order number, department, cashier lane, pickup or delivery confirmation, pharmacy location, or case number. This helps Kroger route the complaint to the correct store, division, or support team.

Choose the Correct Kroger Support Route

Use Kroger Customer Service at 1-800-576-4377 for store issues, pickup and delivery concerns, account problems, digital coupons, Shopper’s Card questions, fuel points, Kroger Pay, refunds, app problems, website issues, and general customer-service help.

Use the local Kroger store for same-day problems involving pricing, checkout, returns, product freshness, employee conduct, store cleanliness, availability, floral, deli, bakery, meat, produce, seafood, pharmacy, customer service desk, or a manager on duty.

Use the Kroger Help Center or My Purchases section for pickup and delivery refunds, missing items, substitutions, damaged products, incorrect charges, open orders, and order history.

Use the Kroger gift card support route for online gift-card orders, gift card delivery, activation, balance, or redemption issues.

Use the Kroger recall-alerts page for product recalls and food safety notices. If a product may present a health risk, follow the recall instructions and contact the store, Kroger Customer Service, or a qualified health professional when appropriate.

What to Have Before Contacting Kroger Corporate Office

Before contacting Kroger, gather:

  • The exact Kroger store address, city, state, and store number if available
  • Receipt, order number, pickup or delivery confirmation, or pharmacy prescription reference when relevant
  • Date and approximate time of the visit, order, charge, or incident
  • Photos of shelf tags, receipts, product packaging, food quality issues, damaged items, or app errors if relevant
  • Shopper’s Card number, Kroger account email, case number, or chat transcript if available
  • Names or descriptions of store managers, pharmacy staff, customer-service representatives, or delivery contacts already involved, if available
  • A short timeline and the specific resolution you are requesting

How to Escalate a Kroger Complaint

Start with the store manager or customer service desk if the issue happened in a local Kroger store. For price disputes, product freshness, service concerns, gift card issues, employee conduct, or missing advertised items, the local store can often review the receipt and resolve the issue faster than the corporate office.

If the local store does not resolve the concern, contact Kroger Customer Service at 1-800-576-4377 or use the Kroger Help Center. Ask for a case or reference number and keep a copy of the response.

For serious or repeated unresolved complaints, send a concise written complaint to Kroger Customer Relations at the Cincinnati headquarters address. Include copies of receipts or screenshots, but do not send original documents unless Kroger specifically requests them.

Pickup, Delivery, Refund, and Substitution Complaints

Kroger pickup and delivery complaints may involve missing items, unwanted substitutions, damaged groceries, late orders, delivery fees, incorrect charges, refund delays, cold-chain concerns, out-of-stock products, or app problems.

For online orders, sign in to your Kroger account and review My Purchases or Order Details. If the order is eligible, use the Request a Refund option. If the issue is more complex, contact Kroger Customer Service or use chat through the help center.

If a third-party delivery provider was involved, document whether the issue was caused by the store, shopper, driver, substitution process, delivery delay, or payment authorization.

Pricing, Digital Coupons, Shopper’s Card, and Fuel Points

Kroger pricing complaints often involve shelf tags, sale prices, digital coupons, paper coupons, Shopper’s Card discounts, fuel points, Boost benefits, receipt totals, and app/account linking.

For pricing or coupon disputes, keep the receipt and screenshots showing that the coupon was clipped or that a sale price appeared before checkout. Ask the store customer service desk or manager to review the transaction.

For fuel points, Shopper’s Card issues, or account problems, contact Kroger Customer Service and provide the card number, account email, purchase date, and receipt details.

Pharmacy, Clinic, and Health-Related Complaints

Kroger pharmacy complaints may involve prescription status, refills, transfers, medication availability, vaccination appointments, pharmacy staff, insurance processing, privacy, or account login problems.

Start with the specific Kroger Pharmacy location because prescription and refill issues are usually handled by the pharmacy that filled or is processing the prescription. Use Kroger’s store and pharmacy locator to find the direct local number.

Do not post prescription numbers, medication details, diagnoses, insurance information, dates of birth, or other private medical information in a public review or comment.

Gift Cards, Kroger Pay, Money Services, and Payment Issues

Kroger gift card complaints may involve online gift-card delivery, activation, declined cards, incorrect balance, order delays, or gift cards purchased in store. Keep the purchase receipt, order number, gift card packaging, and any support confirmation.

For Kroger Pay or payment issues, keep the receipt, last four digits of the payment method, order number, store location, and any error messages. Do not post full card numbers, bank account numbers, gift card numbers, or security codes publicly.

For money services issues involving Western Union, money orders, check cashing, bill pay, or prepaid cards, start with the store’s money services desk and the provider listed on the receipt or official Kroger money-services page.

Product Freshness, Recalls, and Food Safety Complaints

Kroger product complaints may involve expired products, bad produce, incorrect labels, undeclared allergens, damaged packaging, recalled items, deli items, meat, seafood, bakery products, or prepared foods.

For product freshness complaints, bring the product and receipt to the store if possible. For recall issues, check Kroger’s product recall page and follow the instructions for the affected product and store banner.

For illness, injury, allergens, or serious food safety concerns, contact the store, Kroger Customer Service, and a qualified health professional or local health department when appropriate.

Careers, Vendors, Media, Investors, and Corporate Questions

Use Kroger Careers for job applications, store jobs, pharmacy jobs, distribution roles, technology jobs, and corporate roles. Do not rely on unverified HR phone numbers from third-party listings.

Use Kroger’s vendor and supplier pages for supplier questions. Use the media contacts section for press requests and Investor Relations for shareholder questions. Use the Privacy Office for privacy rights, account data, and personal-information requests.

Scam and Fake Kroger Support Number Warning

Be careful when searching online for Kroger corporate office, Kroger headquarters, Kroger customer service, Kroger gift card support, Kroger Pay support, Kroger refund number, Kroger fuel points, Kroger pharmacy support, or Kroger digital coupon help. Shoppers can be targeted by fake coupon pages, fake gift-card balance sites, fake refund messages, phishing emails, fake order confirmations, and unofficial support numbers.

Use Kroger.com, TheKrogerCo.com, official order confirmations, official app links, Kroger’s Help Center, the store locator, and phone numbers listed on official Kroger pages before sharing account, payment, or identity information. Do not provide passwords, one-time codes, full card numbers, bank login information, Social Security numbers, gift card numbers, or remote computer access to anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.

Kroger Richmond VA Disappointing Customer Service

June 4, 2025

Kroger, Disgruntled employee behind the hot food counter. I drove 6 ànd a half miles to the Willow Lawn Kroger because I had heard it was a better store than the Laburnum Kroger in Richmond VA. But half way through the check out line the hot box of chicken I picked up the ticket wrapped around the square box and would not scan. I tried read the SKU number but it was faded..I saw 6 employees standing around but I had to get out of line go back to the hot lunch counter to request another ticket and all I received was sarcastic answers and no assistance, so I grab something 5 that was 5 dollars and brought I back to the counter and the same 6 people still standing around…as I was pushing my groceries out then the black lady shows up with a ticket and sarcastically tells me to have a nice day. Never Never again Willow Lawn Kroger in Richmond VA.

Kroger Marion IL Disappointing Experience

May 23, 2025

Kroger, I am a United States Veteran who has shopped at in Marion Illioiis Kroger for many years. However, I will not return after the treatment I recieved while in the store on Thursday. I was buying a gift card I gave the cashier $96.00 in two dollar bills and $5.50 in half dollars. The cashier pushed the money back and said I won’t accept that for your purchase. I asked to speak to the manager, the manager came and said yeah we won’t accept unrolled change you have to use coin star. I explained that the half dollars come in rolls of $10.00, I said I can’t roll $5.50. I proceeded to ask for the store manager (the one that came was the front end manager). The store manager came to the front and told me the same thing. I explained to him Coin Star doesn’t take half dollars and he said oh well. The cashier then pointed at the two dollar bills and the manager said we don’t take them either. Both half dollars and two dollar bills are Legal tender and I explained to him it is illegal not to accept them as payment and I will be contacting head quarters and the treasury department. I told the manager my wife and myself have shopped there for over 20 years his reply “I don’t care.” I told him he would care after I spread the word to other veterans he then lunged at me and tried to scare me, I looked him in the eye and said go ahead and do something. I told him to “piss off” he said oh yeah big man say that into the camera and pointed to the camera so I did. He told me to get out of the store, called security, followed me to the door, told me I was ban from the store and property and told a kid to follow me to my vehicle. I got into my vehicle left the property and went to the VA and put the word out to other veterans how they treated me. I then contacted the DAV, AMVETS, and other organizations and told them. I served my country I am a combat veteran with a lot of connections with the veteran population in Marion. We will be going to the media with our story so other towns in Southern Illinois know exactly how Kroger treats Veterans.

Kroger King Soopers Disappointing Unresolved Over Charge Issue

May 22, 2025

Kroger, King Soopers. Having cutomer service outside the US seems to be a way for Corporate to distance itself from its customers and its obligation to them. King Soopers incorrectly charged my VISA card for the full cost of my recent online order rather than for the balance after applying $45 in gift cards as was intended and Showed when I placed the order. King Soopers erred. I am not prepared to have the full amount charged tomy Visa. Response from customer service in Manila: nothing we can do; charge has been placed. I asked that they take the $45 gift card total stil in my King Soopers “wallet” and apply it to my Visa. Was told they have policy to adhere to and cannot do this. Huh? King Soopers error. I am supposed live with King Sooper’s error? No way. There is an easy fix. I’ve identified it. Order number: ****************1102
