Giant Eagle, Lack of Support for Community. Our organization recently reached out to request a small contribution or discount to support a community dinner event. In return, we offered to acknowledge Giant Eagle’s support in our promotional materials. After several weeks of follow-up, we were told repeatedly that the store was waiting on corporate approval, but we have yet to receive any clear response. We feel that our request has been brushed aside, and communication has been minimal. Our organization is a part of the local community, and this event is free and open to the public. Due to the lack of support, we will be purchasing our event supplies elsewhere, but we wanted to express our disappointment with the response we received.

Giant Eagle Aspinwall PA Pharmacy Issue

Giant Eagle, Pharmacy. My Doctor called in a prescription 3 hours before I got to the Waterworks Giant Eagle in Aspinwall, PA.

I went in to pick it up and said yes, we got the script but don’t have it in stock. I explained going out of town and will need it so can you call other Pharmacy and they called one and said does not have, I asked to call others and was told that it is not my job to locate your medication at other Giant Eagle Pharmacies. Advise me I should be the one calling and walked away. Understand I am a 69 year old man that needs my medication and had a trip for 10 days planned, leaving the next day, I do not even know the medication name since they do not give scripts only send by email, fax or whatever. A lady that would not tell me her name, only pointing at a name on the wall which I could not see because did not have glasses, telling me to shut up and sit down, never gave me her name. Asked to speak with Assistant Manager and when he comes, I try to explain my situation and how my wife and I must have 15 scripts per month that we get, and Assistant Manager says I get that story from everyone sarcastically and must get 20 times a week. Sad, they treat people that way and are not service related to check their own pharmacies to find your medication or at least knowing they do not have to call you. First person I talked to said we got 2 hours ago and don’t have other person said just got 15 minutes ago. At least keep consistent with your lies and would not explain why one said 2 hours and other 15 minutes. Just a funny look on face, no reply. Also would not say why said not their job to check other Giant Eagle pharmacies but my job!

Giant Eagle, sweet butter lettuce. I have been buying sweet butter salad blend for years. Within the package there is green butter lettuce and red leaf lettuce. I purchased two packets last week and they are filled with 99% red leaf lettuce. This is totally unacceptable. I’m not even sure if the packages are 6 ounces because they’re not even half filled with lettuce. This is the only salad blend that I eat and I’m sure disappointed.

Giant Eagle, Not happy with the pharmacy in the West View Mall. 3 times I was notified via a telephone message that my script for Losartan was ready for pick up. 3 times I went to pick med up. Was told today insurance wouldn’t pay for it until 8/25. Why wasn’;t I told that the first time? When I questioned why I received 3 notices that med was ready I was told calls are computer generated. Those automatic calls are generated when a person programs system to call. I do not appreciate the inconvenience, wasting my time and gas for unnecessary trips to the Giant Eagle in the West View Mall, 15229, 412 931 0393.
