About Houston Garden Centers

Houston Garden Centers operates a network of nursery and garden stores across the greater Houston region. Its product categories include bedding and flowering plants, shrubs, trees, vines, ground cover, palms, ferns, tropical plants, fertilizers, soils, mulches, chemicals, and decorative stone.

Store inventory, advertised promotions, seasonal products, operating hours, and available services can vary by location. Check the official location directory and the company’s current website before traveling.

Houston Garden Centers Locations

The official Houston Garden Centers directory lists more than 20 stores divided among the northwest, northeast, southeast, and southwest portions of the Houston area. Two locations appearing in customer searches are:

  • FM 1960 Store: 10815 Farm to Market 1960 Road West, Houston, TX 77070
  • League City Store: 2155 Gulf Freeway South, League City, TX 77573

The official directory provides a map link for each store but does not publish a complete list of store telephone numbers. Because third-party directories can contain old or conflicting numbers, verify a local number through the official locator’s map listing before calling.

How to Contact Houston Garden Centers About a Complaint

For most purchase, product, pricing, sale, property-damage, or employee-service concerns, begin with the store involved. A documented escalation is more useful than repeatedly contacting different locations.

  1. Contact the store manager: Provide the location, transaction date, receipt, product description, and a concise account of the problem.
  2. Preserve supporting information: Keep the original receipt, advertisement, coupon, photographs, product labels, payment record, and names or dates of prior contacts.
  3. State the requested resolution: Explain whether you are requesting clarification, a price review, an exchange, a refund, reimbursement, or management follow-up.
  4. Contact the main office: If the store does not resolve the matter, call 1-713-218-0860 and ask that the complaint be documented.
  5. Escalate in writing: A concise written complaint may be mailed to Houston Garden Centers, 5345 West Loop South, Houston, TX 77081. Send copies rather than original receipts.

Houston Garden Centers Return Policy Questions

The public pages reviewed on the official Houston Garden Centers website do not display a general return, refund, or exchange policy. Before purchasing plants, chemicals, soil, seasonal merchandise, or clearance products, ask the store to explain the applicable policy and any time limits or exclusions.

Keep the receipt and photograph the product promptly if condition, damage, pricing, or product identity may become an issue. Reader comments and third-party reviews can describe individual experiences, but they should not be treated as the company’s official policy.

Houston Garden Centers Reviews and Complaints

Houston Garden Center Location Request College Station TX

May 23, 2025

Houston Garden Center, I live in Bryan/College Station Texas. I moved here about 1 1/2 yrs ago. The only landscaping stores they have up here is Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart and a couple of private landscaping companies that charge an arm and a leg for shrubs, flowers, grass sod squares, etc. We bought grass sod squares of $3.98 each last week.. and yesterday I bought some from your Spring location for $2.19 each. I used to live near Houston Garden Center stores when I lived closer to Houston, but since we moved, there is no good plant stores up here. Is there anyway Houston Plant and Garden could open a locations in the Bryan/College Station here please? They don’t know how good your stores are up here and your company would make a killing with all the new residents moving to Bryan/College Station. Thank you

Houston Garden Center Customer Service Really Stinks

December 6, 2023

I visited a branch location on FM 1960 in Mar 2023. My car was scratched up by 2 to 3 of the Garden Center’s trees falling on my car. I made an attempt to complain in the store but there was little to no English language spoken. However, I was given a contact (Kim Hooper) for Corporate. I tried contacting this person via phone, and then email. No response, no apology, nothing has ever been received. Very unprofessional customer service.

Houston Garden Center Customer Service

December 13, 2022

I went and purchased some items at the Houston Garden Center Store#24 on 05/04 around 5:30 p.m… I’m complaining because everyone that I entered acted with could not speak English so, therefore, my questions could not be answered. There was one person and that was the manager and he could not answer any questions because he did not have the authorization. However, going forward I can’t spend my money there if no one can further assist me. I’ve asked other people did they are having the same problems and they stated yes. I understand that we are a diverse country but, we need to be able to go to a store and everyone who working should be able to help. I will go with someone else going forward. Just wanted to inform you of what was going on.

Thank you!
