I’m sure you have gotten similar feedback from customers (at least I hope so). As a former employee of 4 years who loved working at JoAnns in Puyallup, (I had to resign due to medical issues) I was extremely impressed by the shape the store was in. See attached photos. I was only able to attach 5 photos, but I have 31 more if you’d like to see them. I visited the store on 11/18/23 @10:30am-11:30 am. Your app said “out of stock” on a lot of items so I went to the store & lots of the shelves were empty too. However, what I was looking for was on the shelf (which was surprising due to the amount of freight that was stacked around the store). There were boxes EVERYWHERE with some blocking aisles (we weren’t allowed to block aisles), they were stacked halfway to the ceiling (we were only allowed to stack 2-3 high). With all the boxes on the floor, the back room must be completely packed! These boxes on the floor create many safety issues as well. We were not allowed to leave boxes, carts of fixtures, etc. on the floor if nobody was going to work it THAT day. We had to be put in the back room, out of the way, until the next day. If customers were to use a mobility cart they wouldn’t be able to get around the store (I barely got around using their small carts). There was only 1 cutter, 1 cashier, maybe a manager & 1 other employee (I think they were doing BOPIS) We had to do go-backs EVERY night! I went back a week later and it wasn’t much better. I would hate to see this store close. They have better selections & prices on yarn (my main craft is crocheting) than Michaels & Hobby Lobby. And better coupons. I also shop at JoAnn for things I need for other projects.

Shopping online experience. I ordered 2 wash away wonder tapes 25 yes @ 11.99 ea. You gave me 20% disc. Total was $20. something. But when I went to check out I was only getting qty of 1 for the same price!! And went on to say I was saving $20.88! Something is wrong. Canceled order.

You closed the Plymouth Massachusetts store and have not replaced it, why.

I live in the Wareham area, it’s halfway between North Dartmouth and Hyannis stores. With today’s gas prices it’s expensive to drive to either store.

You say use the online sales, that’s all well and good if I wanted a specific item. When I go to the store I actually spend more, because I see things that I may not see in your online selections. Also I like to feel the product.

It was mentioned at the Plymouth Massachusetts store that you might be putting a store in Wareham at Wareham Crossing, we who live in this are sure hope you come to Wareham.

Would a petition from shoppers help to get you here in Wareham!

I was just at the Southpark Meadows, Austin, TX store. It’s July in Texas. We’ve had about 16 days of 100+ degrees. The store was so hot, I had to leave.

Why don’t you give each store control of the thermostat? You lost some business from a loyal customer. Hobby Lobby was much cooler, and I spent my money there.

JoAnn Worst Customer Service

I have shopped at JoAnn Fabrics for over 40 years, and today I was treated like I was a criminal for trying to have a return handled – for their mistake, I might ad.

The “manager” term used loosely, was argumentative and surly, and accusatory at the very beginning. Never a hello or a proper greeting whatsoever.

Previously they had cut my fabric extremely crooked, making my project impossible. I had tried to return the fabric previously and had to take it back to the cutting person who measured it for me and could clearly see how badly it was done – 5″ off on one side.

When I went back to the front counter the assistant manager found that even though the money was taken out of my bank account, the credit card number on the receipt was not mine – who knows whose it was, but I got no explanation, just that they couldn’t give me a refund unless it went back on that card.

I went in again today to try to resolve the issue and was met by the “store “manager” who was as unhelpful, rude, and possessed the worst customer service I had ever encountered. She proceeded to tell me to take the fabric back to be re-measured – for the 2nd time -she said she couldn’t just use the first remeasurements which I had saved. She was accusatory and extremely unhelpful.

I was not happy with this run-a-round and told her so. She said she didn’t like my attitude – I said I didn’t like hers. As I walked back to the cutting area, I heard her talking and slandering me to the next customer and whoever else was nearby to hear. She continued on her tirade that this was her store and she would not help me with my attitude. She escalated the situation and treated me like a criminal and made me leave the store, she even said she was calling the police as she escorted me out of the store and outside to get my license plate and a photo….. I had to get a photo of her as well, as she wouldn’t tell me her name.

WTH is wrong with people? A person like that gets a little “authority” and acts like an abusive authoritarian.

I am sorry for JoAnn to have someone like this person represent their store. I am calling an attorney tomorrow and am considering suing for slander.
