My stay 8/5-8/6/2023 at La Quinta booked through Booking.com

I booked this room on Booking.com. The site showed a beautiful room with all the information regarding the amenities. Once I arrived I was told that the hotel was under renovations which was not revealed to me when I decided to secure this reservation. I was in town for a funeral. I feel this is a very deceptive practice. The customer should always be given a choice. False advertisement on a legitimate site is not good for anyone. Dirty carpet, one large dead roach on the bathroom floor, one small live roach under the top mattress other small bugs dead. The lamp was broken I almost fell through the chair the seat was broken. You should never rent rooms without informing the customer that your facility is under renovation., allow me to decide if I want to stay. The best part of my visit was Liza so professional and caring, she went above and beyond the call of duty to make us comfortable. I informed her that this was a management issue, Yes management you dropped the ball! I will never recommend this Laquinta while under construction to anyone and it should be taken off all websites until completed. The pool was also a disaster. One more thing expired milk on the breakfast bar and did not have a replacement, but was told by the morning clerk.”It expires today so I’ll leave it out there besides we don’t have any more to replace it with.” So sad I wish I could get a refund or a complimentary stay once renovations are completed. I have stayed in a lot of La Quinta Inns throughout the USA and never had an experience like this.

Stay at Williamsburg, VA La Quinta was a major health concern

I wanted to make you aware of some concerns from a recent stay that my family and I had in you Williamsburg, Va Laquinta property. We rented 2 rooms (on a sidenote we called four days ahead of our stay, and asked if the rooms could be adjoining or if not, at a minimum, side by side but unfortunately your employee that answered the phone told me that “he could not do that for us,”).

I’ll start by saying I understand that the hotel is not a high dollar luxury hotel and that was not at all our expectations, However, the hotel is in worse than poor condition throughout the area where the hotel rooms are located. I can except that the property is run down, and it definitely is however, there is zero reason that it should be in such filthy condition that it was in. There was a literally black mold, growing on the ceiling in one of our rooms, when we checked in and entered our room, there was a dirty baby wipe and some other trash that had clearly been swept into a corner by the cleaning crew and never picked up, the bathroom tiles on the shower had mold growing on them, when our children walked on the carpet in the room without their shoes on their feet were completely black from the amount of dirt on the carpets, and the entire hotel had a very musty smell to it to the point that the entire first floor, when you walked through the hallway, all had the doors propped open, and clearly had not been rented out.

The issues I described above are just some of the most concerning failures that we saw. My son has severe breathing issues, and the fact that we were put in a room that had black mold growing on the ceiling is absolutely unacceptable! In addition, there were cobwebs in the windows when you open the blinds in both of our rooms, multiple lights in the rooms had no light bulbs, the in room refrigerator didn’t work in 1 of our rooms, we specifically booked at your hotel because of the outdoor pool and unfortunately the pool was green the entire time we were there, so it was shut down, there were signs that said, “vending, and ice machines”, and every ice machine on every floor was broken with a sign that said “out of order” and there weren’t even any vending machines at all even though there were signs in the hall stating there was, 1 elevator was out of service (again with a sign on it) elevators and common areas were just beyond dirty to an unacceptable level.

Again, we did not book the hotel expecting it to be a luxury resort by any means however, there is absolutely no excuse for the rooms and the common areas of the hotel to be as dirty as it was. I did take photographs if you would be interested in seeing them, I’d be happy to send them along, but you can’t expect guests to pay to stay somewhere that is simply not clean and should not be tolerated. Unfortunately because of the hygiene issues regarding the mold, we were forced to check out the night before we plan to and drive four hours home at 11 o’clock at night because I was concerned for my son’s health due to the very evident black mold.

I truly hope that this feedback will be received and escalated to a level that someone steps in for the very real health concerns for the guest that book at your hotel. It is not OK and should not be acceptable for people to pay money to stay in a hotel that was in the condition that yours was in last weekend.

La Quinta Customer Service

The La Quinta in Irondale, Alabama was great. Desk clerk Kim Wilson went out of her way to make my husband & I comfortable. She gave us directions to places that we needed to go. She was always cheerful and helpful. You need to hire more people like Kim.

La Quinta, Shreveport, Louisiana was a great disappointment. It was very run down. It appears that La Quinta let the hotel digress to the lowest point possible. I would expect it would be closed at any moment. Due to this, we finished our vacation by checking in at Best Western. Best Western service was great.

Correction to my email sent 8/3/23, I stayed at La Quinta, Pearl, Mississippi, not Irondale, AL. Kim Wilson was great about helping us feel at home. She gave very good directions to places we wanted to go. Yes, you need to hire people like Kim Wilson.

The La Quinta, Shreveport, was accurate about being in poor condition.

Hopefully, La Quinta will improve all of their hotels, because as my husband and I did, we chose another Hotel Best Western due to the poor condition of the La Quinta, in Shreveport.

Attention La Quinta Meridian MS Disappointed

We just went to a LA Quinta in Meridian on 1400 Roebuck Dr. in Mississippi. I was grossly disappointed it was the worst dump I have ever seen. the receptionist was disgusting .

the place filthy and my husband got a room and I was horribly upset. But once in the room I could taste the smoke. I am prone to migraines and get sick from smoke and ta boot, the Febreeze sprayed in there was enough to kill a person.

If that was not bad enough you employees sneered at me and told us they could not refund our money. One of the beds had sunk in the middle. It was not cheap and it was the worst place I have even seen. I love LA Quinta. We are from Texas and I cannot tell you that not only did we lose cash on our trip but I am no longer sure what type of caliber you are now going after.

we are so grossly disappointed. As a previous Prison worker for the state and my husband retired military we feel very dishonored. I have had to ingest my medication as the breeze made me ill and the background smoke I could taste. I taste that stuff.

I would like a refund, please. I will call and we are not done. We are sad you are allowing your fun and what was wonderful go down in this manner. This LA Quinta reminds me of a super cheap place that is totally and completely scummy.
