Panara Bread West Des Moines IA Disappointing

October 30, 2024

Terrible experience at Panara Bread 6740 University Avenue, West Des Moines, IA 50266. Arrived around 7pm on Oct 29 2024. We ordered, filled our drinks and sat down. Did not hear our name called. The chili was absolutely awful. I cut Turkey Bravo sandwich in half so my partner could at least have something to eat. Decided to order another type of soup for him. It took 15 mns. just to order because of another customer hum hawing around about what they wanted to order. The customer in front of me just kept looking at menu trying to decide. When they did decide the cashier finished with them and then took off away from her post. By the time I did order and received another type of soup my soup at the table was cold. What did appear to be Manager…he kept running a card in the other cash registers. Like he was cashing them out. He was not concerned of a customer standing waiting to order. Nor did he say anything to me…like someone will be right with you. He was very much in a hurry and last I saw him he was practically running back to kitchen and that was last I saw of him. The cashier did not recognize me as a customer that had already ordered once just 15 minutes prior. I have been a patron of Panara Bread many many times…as matter of fact is my favorite place until last night. I realize it’s hard to find employees but hiring these young kids just doesn’t always cut it and for who I think was managing these young kids he needs more training also. I have waitressed in my early years as well as managed businesses and you just don’t let customers stand in front of cash register without saying something to that customer…I’ll be right with you! or something. When my partner is with me I now know I won’t be going back to Panara Bread for quite some time.

Panera Bread is implementing Amazon palm scanners at checkout - Boycot!

December 13, 2022

I will be taking my business elsewhere. BREAKING: Panera Bread is implementing Amazon palm scanners at checkout by linking customer fingerprints to their loyalty accounts. We need to boycott Panera Bread and any establishment using this technology. This is dangerous.

Panera Disgraceful On Every Level

December 13, 2022

I have always liked Panera until I saw your commercial about your “contributions to those in need”

When one “Truly Gives” it is not advertised to show what a “good person or company they are”

You do it without fanfare and without thought of bringing in more customers…. Because you want customers to think you are so benevolent.

I know I am just one individual, but I will no longer go to your establishments, I was brought up never to advertise the good deeds one did.

I know this was done only to make you look like you care.

Good deeds are not good deeds if you have to advertise the fact….. and you show this commercial continuously.

Whatever fool came up with this exhibition..all the “top dogs” had to okay it.

Disgraceful on every level.

Panera Customer Service

December 13, 2022

I am a long-time customer of Panera and stuck with you guys even though my husband wasn’t a big fan. he finally came around. Now I hear that you are planning to start using palm scanners. If yo do this, I will find another place to eat. We have had enough interference from companies/governments who want to use our information and control what we do. Maybe this isn’t you right now, but if they try to implement another lockdown and mandate to control people, they will take businesses that can track their customers like you and use it for nefarious means. Stick up for your customers, not Big Brother Government.
