Reach Steak and Shake Corporate Office 

On 12/23/2023 I went through the drive-through at Steak n shake store 733 located at 8609 Watson Road-St. Louis, MO 63119, and ordered a meal. I received the burger and started eating it in the car. Bit into the burger swallowed and ingested the large piece of plastic here. When returning to the store to speak with the manager his response was “I can give you a free milkshake” No apologies or explanation was given. A young lady working there advised me that the older gentleman preparing orders was the one who prepared the burger. He also did not offer an apology. This is indeed unsanitary the plastic was cooked with the food and also had ink on the top of it. This has caused digestive issues and upset stomach issues. Also, I have no desire to dine out because I fear such an incident could happen again. I could have choked this large piece of plastic if I did not regurgitate it back up.

I worked october 25th 2023 from 5pm-10:45 and was never paid!

I’m trying to call the manager and they’re not answering me! I got in contact with Amelia who was the General Manager at the time and she told me “Stop calling her” and she hung up on me. She was very rude and unprofessional my pay has been withheld with no communication.

Always brought grandkids to steak and shake for years. Today at 5:15 arrived at the restaurant and keyed in orders for everyone. Sat for a while before the food came, got the wrong hot dogs, and everyone ordered milkshakes. Milkshakes did not come with the meal, the young man apologized for the food mistake and said he would correct it. Ordered ranch dressing but did not get. Daughter in law asked about milkshakes when the corrected hot dog came. The fries were cold when the food arrived. Still no shakes. We finished the meal and had water with the meal as we got ready to leave shakes arrived and they were not frozen as they sat on the counter. At this point it is 6:00. When I addressed the manager on duty she stated there were only three people working. We were the only people inside. I said I understand that but we never got the shakes, told her kids came out with me as a grandmother for a pleasant experience which was a complete disaster. She said you should have stayed home. Really! This was her exact words. I deal in retail.

Something needs to be done at your store in Decatur, GA the young lady working is trying her best and she is pregnant they have no help for her but as a young teenager she looks like she is in some pain is this how you treat employees if it were I would close down the store I asked where the store gm was but his never there cause that I have never seen a General Manager is supposed to come in if there is no help he would not have a job please get this young lady some help thank you.
