  • I am a customer at Walgreens Dual Hwy in Hagerstown. Service at your pharmacy drive-up window is terrible, a conclusion based on several instances of extraordinary waits/non-service. Yesterday, I waited at the window for 8-10 minutes & when no one showed up, I left the window and went to the counter inside. You have a half dozen employees in there. I wass told by the pharmacy mngr no none could come to the window because the clerk was serving customers at the counter inside. Obviously, drive-up customers, including this handicapped customer, are not really deemed "customers" if they are at the drive-up window, only those at the inside counter. Your manager's answer was not adequate, actually stupid. I have had such lousy experience at the drive up window I think you shud just close it, so as not to mislead customers. It is a hardship for me to go inside but I am left w/ that option or move to another pharmacy. I really don't understand why your pharmacy treats drive-up customers so poorly. Ken Duncan

  • I have a complaint to beat the band. I have been overcharged for years. My card is on file with my Walgreens, so i just have to sign. But i pick up one script, he rings it up, It doesnt dawn upon the pharmisist that $140.00 for one script is a hint of being incorrect. I trusted Walgreens to at least see the amount being charged wrong at least 7 times in the last six months. I call and they are mean to me, like i did something wrong, I am livid. HELP ME

  • My Walgreens on Smith St in Providence, RI, used to be a RiteAid. It is still a nice store. The problem is incompetence or maybe not their fault? For the vaccine they told my wife and I to go to the website. We go to the website, there are vaccines but not two back to back (two shots are required). Even when it said many shots, we could not sign up for one shot even! Not even one shot because it wanted two shots. It was impossible to find two shots? It made no sense and no one at Walgreen's cared. In fact, they hate their jobs and kind of told us to go somewhere else. We are 69 years old and our other neighbors had the same problem! No one cares! We always got the same answer, no more shots available, go to the website. Having done websites and e-commerce for a living my neighbors and me were confused. We know computers. So, we go to the store but they get mad at you sending you back to the website, no offer of help and tell us to go to CVS then. So, my neighbors and I had to look for alternatives to Walgreen's and finally got our shots. I know people were wearing masks but the employees treated us so bad that we now try to avoid this store but they are conveniently located close to us. We will try to find another place but so far only CVS is the other brand. If I could just find another place, I would jump in a heartbeat! I know we are only a few customers but since Rite-Aid and our flu shots, this place looks like a place that hates its own customers.

  • I received an email on Mar 17,2021 that my prescription is delayed: waiting doctor's approval. After 2 attempts by my doctor faxing the approval he then called them directly for a 90 supply. When I went to pick up pills they only had 30 supply and said I couldn't get 90 supply because my insurance company wouldn't approve it. Now I have been getting this very expensive medication from this Sebring, FL store for the last 5 years. I also know my insurance company demands 90 day vs 30 due to cost. I had to demand an emergency supply on 2 occasions over the 8 days it took for me to resolve this insanity. Only when I stood at pharmacy and called my insurance company who then called pharmacy with me on the line did I get them to order the medication which took 5 more days. Moral to the story is that Walgreens was committing insurance fraud. One more kick in the head happened when I tried to complete survey on email they sent. I wasn't able because you only have 3 days to complete after transaction, which they charged me the day they ordered the 690 more pills. Conveniently it took 5 more days to come to pharmacy so no survey on 3/28/21.

  • Good evening, I am a long time consumer of your Walgreens store located on 2104 E NC Highway 54 in Durham NC 27713. I just want to share with you my experience tonight 12/14/20 with the the most disgusting display of customer service that I had ever received. Tonight I went to pick up my prescription when I arrived there was a line so just like all the other customers I waited patiently in line for 15-20mins I was the very last car in line and as I approached the window the pharmacist by the name of Jamaal closed the shade down and refused to service me as I tried to understand why I couldn’t get serviced Jamaal completely ignored me and walked away shaking his head as if he was tell me no for services. I am livid with how Jamaal treated me and as I mentioned earlier I have been using Walgreens for years for my medical needs and I have never encountered such disrespectful behavior. I work for Duke university hospital so I understand the demands and frustration that comes with along with customer service but I also understand the importance of not delaying patient care. Jamaal has now delayed my care by not providing me with the necessary medical prescription as recommended by my doctor. This is completely unacceptable. I would truly appreciated if someone could look into my concerns and follow up with me.

    Thanks in advance,
    A. Martin

  • I called Walgreens on W little York Houston, Texas and waS ON HOLD TO speak with pharmacy and was on hold for 10 minutes and than IT WENT Dead. I went to pharmacy the next monrning and they are suppose to open at 9:30 am. The girl came in at 9:30 am and open up at 9:40 am. Guess they open at 9:30 for themselves and 9:40 am for customers.

  • Husband went to Walgreens at US Hwy. 441, Tavares, FL 32778 to pickup a prescription. He went thru the drive thru, & the clerk tried to give him someone's prescription. He then went inside & told the clerk who was rude to him and explained & gave him the correct spelling of his name. You are always suppose to give your dob for confirmation which he didn't ask for it. He stated that it was to early to be filled. Prescription originally filled 1-4-18 so pickup today was the 5th, which is after the 30 day period. There is something going on at this Walgreen's which needs apparently oversight. You are not the only game in town & there are other companies that fills prescriptions without that Ignormas and his attitude. The RFN# was 0464-8418-7267-1802-0503. I know in Florida Publix fills any script without that type of behavior. I will have to start there, will use up my Rewards & use them or CVS, Winn-Dixie, etc. get the idea. Another Walgreens tried to give my sister a prescription for our mother, the wrong medicine which whould have killed her!!!

  • When redeeming points, why don't we earn points on the total amount of sales that your corporation is receiving credit for on your income statement? That is, assuming you are carrying the unused points on your balance sheet as an unearned income liability per FASB guidelines?

Please consider my next two points which address other parts of your policy which should be amended to better provide support to your customers:

    1. Why are we only awarded 100 points per 30 day and 300 points per 90 day prescription? Prescription costs vary from under $10 to hundreds of $$; so, why don't you award points on subscriptions on a consistent basis with every day purchases?

    2. Why are we only allowed to spend $50 of our points on a single transaction? We belong to multiple other awards programs which do not limit how much benefit we receive per transaction. We've spent our money at your stores; so, why can't we spend as many of our accumulated points as we want on a single transaction?

Not following any of these principles as presented is a blatant 'act of bad faith' which does not foster a positive ongoing relationship with your customer base.

  • I am a 100 percent disabled veteran. I went to my local Walgreens in Coweta Oklahoma to buy syringes and smaller needles for injections I have to give myself. We are a rural town where the farm and feed stores carry and sell syringes and needles. My complaint is this I told the pharmacist that express scripts was charging me 26 dollars for 6 syringes and needle combinations and I needed to purchase several. First she wanted to see the prescription btl, I told her I don't carry around my prescription btls around, I told her she could verify my prescription by contacting express scripts, she said I need the phone number. I don't carry around the numbers for my pharmacy's but usually they will call and verify the prescription even at Walmart they will do that for me. IN the past if I needed a syringe they would just give me one when I had a cat business and needed to give an injection. I feel this pharmacist was less than accommodating, the store was empty and she very well could have helped me but she chose not to. I just went to another pharmacy when they gladly checked my prescription and I was able to give my self the injections I needed. We shop her often and chose to do business with our Walgreen's to support local businesses. This kind of incident actually deters me from using the store and encourages me to use the competing pharmacy a block away. I don't expect much, most companies are defensive about anything negative but I expect a little help when I clearly explained my situation everything could have been verified from my doctor to express scripts. Not all of your employees are nice nor accommodating. If you want my contact info I will give it when you reply.

  • I love shopping at drug stores. Its my thing to my thing to buy concerned health products. However I suffered excruciating abdominal pain with the purchase of group(s) of expired shelved apple juice by Walgreens. I find unreasonable responds from Walgreens to take responsibility for the cost and suffering that it has caused. not to mention the verbal abuse by their staff. This problem will not dictate where I will shop, however I will continue converse until I have exhausted every entity to have this matter fairly resolved.

  • Walgreen's in Lynn Haven, Fl, not the first time i have had a problem with getting my medication after waiting 7 days i called and was told oh we will have to order that mind you this is after waiting 7 days, called corporate office and lady i talked too was rude and could not give a crap, my advise is to find another Pharmacy, i will let everyone i know to go elsewhere, this is not the first time i have called and complained and never received a call from anyone about matter, customer service is horrible.

  • First of all, I would like to say that I have always received good customer service at our local Walgreens. I frequent this location often.

I do, however, have a complaint about how the prices are listed for the items on the shelves. They are very misleading the way they are placed. The price is either for the product above the item I wish to purchase, or it's for the item below the item I wish to purchase. It's like trying to read a road map to determine the price of things.

  • Walgreens pharmacy Yucaipa is worthless. Unable to keep meds. in stock for there reg. customers. at least a 5 day wait to get my pain meds when a walgreens only 1.3 miles has my meds. in Calimesa, ca. IN STOCK.
    LJE.
pS: Have filed a complaint with the California Pharmacy Board.

  • In May I got refills to several meds and the pharmacy messed up 4 of our several meds by charging the amount to the wrong insurance coverage. Here it is four months later and still awaiting the refund of the co-pay I was forced to pay because the store billed the wrong insurance. The entire process was made to appear my fault and the employees exonerated of any responsibility for the mess-up. I got one error fixed but the other still not settled after literally hours calling the corporate Walgreens office and customer service as well as the secondary insurance and then Medicare as well… I got to deal with all three-no four- places and still not received my money refunded…and who compensates me for the 4 months of aggravation and being short thirty bucks that I could be using to pay other bills??? Bah Humbug Walgreens, I will search out another source that can and will fill my needs and LISTEN TO ME as I am the reason you are in business and able to be promptly paid even when you are wrong!!

  • On 8/4/2015 I went to the Walgreens on 64 Hwy and Germantown road in Memphis. I wanted to buy the Always. panti-liners that were 2 for 14.99. In the ad I saw that you needed a coupon that was on line and I went on line and did not see one, but wanted to print a coupon that was similar. I COULD NOT GET IT TO PRINT. I had my cell phone and wanted to see if they could help. The woman rang up the one box (that was all they had) and I explained to her I had tried to go on line and print out coupon, but it did not print and I thought they could help..and when she asked the young man that might have been a manager, he was really mean and said we cannot do it unless you have the coupon….he did not listen to me and AFTER I HAD DRIVEN A LONG WAY AND MUCH WASTED GAS, I LEFT. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN…NO EXCUSE…..

  • I would like to tell walgrens their stores in Apple Valley CA on the corner of apple valley rd & bear valley rd & on hook % amaragoosa has got my approval of the WORST CUSTOMER. You advertise open at 8am for pharmacy but I get there before 8 your employees are scrambing to get into the store by 7.59 am. so why don't you say we will be open when we want to. to hell with the people who need the meds filled. you also need to let that little smart alike at the apple valley store to change her attitude when a 60 yr old man is standing in the wrong line even though I was the first in line. I will gladly let everyone know about your customer service it is even worse than WALMART & that is pretty bad.

  • All the major chains do that now because the razors are high priced and is a high loss item. It has nothing to do with your race. The same is true at Target. They have to be locked or they would be stolen. You can argue all you like but the razor situation is the same for everyone.

  • why cant you all in the corporate office make those little blue stickers that read 500,1,000 2,000 3,000 points really nice to be able to read that but when it comes to the (when you buy 2,3 ) what ever is so darn small that people even my self are feeling we are being cheated out of points because it is so small you don't see it so ok here what we do ? Why not make that little blue sticker read ( 2 for / 500 ) points or how many ever for that / 500 1,000 2,000 3,000 points But make that 2, 3, 4 , what ever just as big as that point's number read 's and Quite making people like myself and other feel like the are being robe of points

  • This is a great article. I’ve read in many
    other places before that but
I did not get this type of effective and
more useful text. It is really important now to
vary your anchors as this seems more natural to user.
This article helped me a lot to understand information.

  • On Nov. 15 2014 @ 10am
I when to our local Walgreen to pick up my prescription and was told that the staff wasn't able to fill it because they hadn't got approval back from the doctor yet.
I asked why did they need approval since I was established with their store? I was told that this was normal procedures. I said I understand this with a new customer but as mentioned earlier I was established with them so why did I have to go three days with medication after doing so the month before. There was no logical answer to the madness. If something is not done with this procedure Walgreens will loose a lot of customers.
This was very humiliating to me because there were two low class customers at the counter snickering loudly bringing attention to the situation.
I went to another Walgreens location and was further humiliated because the pharmacist refuse to even allow me to leave the prescription at his store. He accused me of pharmacy hopping. Things need to change for the better.

  • I am pretty much offended and upset by the Indian Gentleman pharmacist in Torrington, Connecticut. I've been filling a particular medicine I have to take for a condition I have.Today when I called to see if it's ready, this guy tells me that since I've been on the same medicine for a year, HE thinks I should go on something else. First of all, I never asked this guys opinion and don't want it. I trust my Doctor's judgment. The medicine this guy suggested, I already tried and IT DOESN"T WORK ON ME. I asked this guy if it's dangerous to me, He said no. Then why is he sticking his nose where it doesn't belong? Oh, by the way, at my age, there are several medicines the Doctor has subscribed for me that I TAKE EVER DAY AND HAVE FOR OVER A YEAR. Why is he concerned?

    • I imagine the pharmacist would be offended being referred to as "the Indian Gentlemen pharmacist. Could it be he was trying to be helpful? Maybe you should consider going elsewhere if you weren't happy with your service. Just a thought…..

  • Who is 'Anonymous'? Why is Anonymous full of ignorance and an ALL CAPS urge that is perhaps fueled by the ignorance? Just stumbled upon this and am curious about whether or not there's an update to the original poster's story. He is the only person making sense in this thread, after all. 🙂

  • YOU ALWAYS DELAY MY ORDERS EACH MONTH,AND EACH; MONTH I RUN OUT AND HAVE NO MEDICATION EVERY SINGLE MONTH….YES, EVERY MONTH.

    • I'm sorry you had such a difficult time but if you ever want anyone to take your complaint seriously you might want to consider asking someone to help.you to write your complaint in a way that will help you to be taken seriously. I highly doubt the people at Walgreens Corporate Office are at all concerned that any attorney would take what you deem to be a legitimate case. Have you ever considered going to a different pharmacy? Good luck to you and God bless you.

  • I went to Walgreens at Lake Worth & Nassau Rd in Lake Worth FL. The Doctor called in a script for Levfloxacin as I had pneumonia in Nov & it was coming back. I gave them 3 hrs went to pick it up, the pharmacist (a women) said that one was not called in. I explained that the Dr had called & would she check. In a nasty tone of voice she said no script was there. As this was friday afternoon, my Dr only works till 3:PM. So I went all wkend in pain. I called my Dr's office Mon AM & was told a script was called in & they would call again. Pharmacist deal with sick people & should have compassion for people. My daughter is a pharmacist up north & she & another co-worker do over 800 scripts a day. She said that she treats all her clients with care & love. She even delivers scripts to clients that can't get to the store. Walgreens needs staff like her..I am going to CVS from now on.

  • long story short….my sister lives in new jersey and they allowed someone else in chattanootga. tenneessee to use her card number without i.d. and charge 438.00 worth of stuff with no problems….i think walgreen's needs to look over there policies…i go to the store and if my purchases are over 30.00 i need to put in a pin number…apparently walgreens has no such police…your stores suck and you need to re-train your customer service reps…now she has no money and is on social security disability….wake up walgreens or go out of business

  • I am not sure how the hell you can't send more than enough pain medications or any type of extra medications to all local stores located in the Stockton, CA. I have gone into the pharmacy to get my prescription filled and I get this I am out of Some or I don't have enough of something else. I have had a prescription sitting their since November 16th 2013. I had another major surgery and needed my pain medications and I was told I could not get them or anything until after the November 20th. I am sick and tired of the we are out of this or out of something else being on held for over half an hour to an hour and a half I get pissed off and then I have to drive a round trip of 24 miles just to see if they have the medication.

  • Long story short; Sign on shelf stated "50% off" (buy one get one free). At checkout I was charged for both items. I questioned why and was told that price was only if I had a rewards card. The sign on the shelf didn't say anything about only with a rewards card. Not an expensive purchase but still left made me feel tricked by Walgreens.

  • My daughter works at Walgreen's, and they treat her and rest of EE's like 'Crap'. I would NOT take the abuse that her District Manager(s)subject their EE's too. They are ignorant and rude. She is constantly being moved, and she's one of the hardest workers there. Always on time and never late, yet, her Dist Manage belittles her every opportunity. I'm sure that she has fears of sending a complaint to her Corp Office, and from looking over the many lawsuits filed against them, I can understand why. Corp Office GIVES approvals to managers to be DISRESPECTFUL to their EE's. Sorry guys, but you need a UNION in that hell hole! No Way would I EVER let anyone disrespect me. Don't care who there are.

  • Well, I am afraid that this is they way they are. The allow heir managers and employees to have sex right there in the store, so naturally this is acceptable.

  • You all think you have problems with your stores, you ought to be in the Tri-City Area of Washington State. We have a hooker working here. She has managed to get one manager fired, has busted up another managers home, accused the pharmacist of "touching here inappropriately" and dictates what customers can come into her store, which by the way she is NOT a manager. Her husband must be a real dope. Anyway, like all of you who have had to put up with snotty, nasty employees, try putting with one who can't her hands to herself when it comes to any man who works or shops in the store. The pharmacist also likes to pick fights with customers and then tells them how to live their life, like it's any of his business. But I will tell you all something right now, Walgreens Corporate office obviously doesn't give a crap. Sad but true and somewhere in the Tri-Cities is a pregnant woman with two little kids who has a divorce because of the Walgreens Happy Hooker. Great job Walgreens! What's next, pedophile clerks?

  • thanks to the pharmacist profiling me because of my medications I will never shop at any walgreens ever again

  • I am a walgreens vendor, not your private bank. Pay your bills on time instead of treating your accounts payable as interest free loans by not paying them for 60 to 90 days. I have money invested in the services I provided and it is my credit that suffers when you thieving crooks don't pay me on time.

  • i went to the Walgreens in (grove city ohio )to drop off my medicine. since I live in the country where nothing is around I have to ride forever to get to the closes one. well none of them will tell u on the phone if the have ur kind of pain meds so u have to drive to everyone of them or have a tech call the other stores which the will only try one for u so if they don't have it u gotta go into the walgreens b c they cant tell u over the phone, so I go stay at my families house down there for three days trying to get this insurance issue they r having go threw. …..which in the mean time im disabled who lives in EXTREME PAIN.
SO THEY SAY DAYS LATER U HAVE TO PAY 10000 DOLLARS TO GET IT OR U CANT HAVE IT!HAD DRS OFFICE FAXING PAPERS DID EVERYTHIUNG THEY ASKED MEDCOSUX#SO AFTER MEETING MY HUSBAND GETTING THE $ THIS DISGUISTING GIRL COMES ON HER SHIFT AND SAYS SHE WONT GIVE ME MY MEDS STILL, NOW, DAYS LATER…. CUZ SHE DONT TRUST THAT IM NOT UP TO NO GOOD ???!ITS IN THE WALGREENS GOOD FAITH POLICY..LMAO GOOD FAITH OF WHAT I HAVE A LEGAL SCRPIT AND ALL U WANT TO DO IS ARGUE W ME???? IM NOT THE TRASHBAGS THAT ROBBED U MORON!AND I WAS DROPPED DOWN ON MY MEDS B C THE DEA HUH. WELL I HOPE U ALL NEVER GET HURT AND NEED HELP AND I HOPE U ALL CANT GET IT EITHER FOR PUNISHING THE INNOCENT FOR WHAT HONEST PPL NEED. KARMA DOESNT DISCRIMINATE!
NOW THE PPL BEFORE HER SAID OH 20 MINS THEN I GO TO PAY CASH B C ILL B IN THE HOSPITAL WITHOUT IT AND THIS BROAD SAID SHE DOESNT TRUST ME TO TAKE MY OWN MEDICINE B C OF THE DEA??????

AND U HAVE TO DRIVE TO ALL THE DIFFERENT ONES THEY ARENT ALLOWED TO TELL ON THE PHONE IF THE EVEN HAVE A MINOR 60 COUNT. LMAO U SICKEN ME BLONDIE….I FEEL LIKE SUING THE EFF OUT OF HER IGNORANT CHILDISH SELF!

  • Too Bad Walgreen Is LIKE THAT! MUILT-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY AND THEY DON;T KNOW HOW TO TREAT THERE CUSTOMERS VERY SAD

  • I would like to know why it's so difficult to obtain my medications monthly that I need for 6 back operations. I am tired of doing the Walgreens hunt every month. I am tired of being stressed every month if I am going to be able to get them. I NEED these meds for a quality of life, from what my pharmacist tells me she is very embarrassed to keep telling the customers that they don't have anything and they are behind and several orders were actually cancelled by Walgreens. Who the HELL decides this? I am going to start going to a smaller pharmacy from now on. after 17 yrs Walgreens you have lost a valued customer because Walgreens just doesn't care. I live in Fla and it's not my fault about the pill mills and the crooked Dr's and the drug addicts that come from up North.

  • Just what we need another card….If I cannot get the sales price without giving a store my phone number, address, yadda yadda yadda,
I am out of there…nothing like standing in line, to get to the cashier to be asked "Do you have a card?" "No" "Do you want one?" You have to say yes or you do not get the sales price, so you have to fill out the paperwork, while others are waiting to pay for their items…or if you do have a card, it takes you forever to find it, because you have to dig through all the other damned cards in your wallet, while others are waiting….NOPE, back to Longs, I don't need a card….

  • I renewed a perscription via mail order. They somehow took an old perscription for that same medicine and renewed it via my doctor. Since the data they pulled was over 2 years old (instead of last monts) they sent the medication to the wrong address. I tried to get help via the local pharmacy they were incredibly rude and just blamed me for the issues. I called customer service and they were nice but could do nothing for me. They transferred me to the mail order area. Long sotry short. After 3 weeks, 9 phone calls I still do not have my medicine. I am still pursuing them to make me whole on the money and open script so I can transfer it somewhere else.

  • Your stores suck, and your pharmacy staff is rude and insulting. Has nothing to do with location, everyone I've. gone in but one treated me like a dog.I hope all your stores go out of business.

  • That's actually policy. Although it does depend on the neighborhood. When I worked in the city I was talked to b/c I didnt walk it up the reg. & was told it defeats the purpose to just hand it to the customer. When I worked in a nice suburb it was the exact opposite.

  • You need to contact the corporate office with a hard copy/snail mail to really get a honest response. Companies really respond to that a lot better. I write a lot and found that to be more true then email or this. Every state is different with policies. Here in Wisconsin razors are out in the open for consumers to grab. I understand where your coming from and it is not right for them to deny you the razors as you go about shopping. Good Luck.

  • Over the edge! The other evening I went to the usual Walgreens and bought only a couple things and wanted $5.00 cash back. Simple thing right? WRONG!! anywhere else one goes and wants cash back thats the first thing that pops up on the card swipe device. NOT AT WALGREENS! NO THEY HAVE A HEART DONATION THERE INSTEAD AND IF YOU DONE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY, YOU CAN EASILY MAKE A GENEROUS DONATION TO THE HEART FOUNDATION AND NOT GET ANY CASH BACK! Who ever put thaton there should be strung up! CVS is my new pharmacy right across the street!! Bye Walgreens, put your hands in my pocket no more!!

  • I am staying at Home 2 Hotel in San Antonio, Tx and we have a Walgreens across the street. This morning I went to this store at 7:45. The manager yelled through the glass that the store did not open until 8:00. As I waited outside there were a lot of potential customers that tried to enter the store but obviously the doors were locked. When I informed them that the store did not open until 8:00 they laughed and said that they would go to the nearby CVS. At 8:00 the doors were still not open. I started knocking at the front door and did so on 10 separate intervals until finally the manager came back to let people in. After frustratingly not being able to enter the store at 8:00 I did a cursory walked through the store, left without buying anything and walked to CVS. C'mon Walgreems – straighten up!

    • THEY ARE NOT MUCH BETTER BUT ANYTHING WOULD BE BETTER THEN WALGREENS PHARMCY! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM CLOSED DOWN AND I WON'
T STOP UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THEIR PHARMACY TREATMENT! THEY SUCK HOLDING SCRIPS FOR DAYS WHEN I CAN GO ELSEWHRE AND WALK OUT IN 15 MIN. WITH MY MEDS! THEY SUCK!

  • I have a neighborhood Walgreens and recently purchased products from the store. Walgreens recently implemented a rewards program that I imagine is used, like other retailers to track consumer purchase patterns. When I checked out of my recent purchase I did not want to get a rewards card. Because of this I was charged significantly more for my purchase. I found this to be a very descriminatory pricing practice for someone who does not wish to participate in this type of program. Other retailers have seen the backlash of this type of practice and instead have discounted products futher for those who wish to participate rather than penalizin those who dont. I will no longer patronize any Walgreens stores with purchases and medications. I have discussed this with like minded family and friends who will also no longer patronize the store chain. May not make a difference to Walgreens but for the size and age of this company this is an extremely idiotic implementation of a information gathering program.

  • DEAR CORPORATE,
YOU REALLY NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS HAPENING AT STORE #0089 I GO IN THAT STORE ALMOST EVERYDAY, AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS,THE MANAGEMENT STAFF BEING JOSH AND DARCY JOE AND CELINA ALL TREAT THE EMPLOYEES HORRIBLE, JOSH IS CONSTANTLY HARRASSING THE STOCK GUY, HE IS USUALLY CUSSNG ON THE FLOOR AT THIS PERSON FOR ANYBODY TO HEAR I HAVE HEARD IT WITH MY OWN EARS, AND IT REALLY BOTHERS ME HOW ITS OK FOR THE MANAGEMENT STAFF TALKS TO EMPLOYEES, I HEARD NOT TO LONG AGO DARCY TELLING THE SAME EMPLOYEE TO SHOVE SOMETHING UP HIS ASS NICE THING TO SAY TO SOMEONE WHEN HE ASKED A QUESTION. AND JUST YESTERDAY I WITNESSED THIS SAME EMPLOYEE OPEN HIS PHONE LOOKED AT THE TIME AND IMMEDIATELY JOSH STARTED ON HIM ABOUT HIS PHONE BUT NOT LONG AFTER THIS EMPLOYEE CAUGHT JOSH TEXTING HOW IS THAT OK? THATS WHEN AN ARGUEMENT OCCURRED WHERE JOSH TOLD THIS EMPLOYEE IT WAS OK FOR HIM TO DO IT CAUSE HE IS A MANAGER, DONT YALL HAVE COMPANY PHONES IF THAT BE THE CASE? DARCY HAS A BAD HABIT OF MAKING SMART NASTY REMARKS TO EMPLOYEES AND JOE AND CELINA BOTH HAVE LEARNED THIS ALSO AND IVE HEARD THOSE TWO DO THE SAME , IT GETS OLD COMING INTO THIS STORE AND HEARING ALL THIS STUFF EVERYTIME A PERSON COMES IN HERE HOW CAN AN EMPLOYEE BE HAPPY WORKING UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS ALL THE TIME EVERYDAY, IF I WERE THAT EMPLOYEE I WOULD HAVE ALREADY BROUGHT CHARGES UP ON THE MANAGEMENT STAFF FOR HARRASSMENT. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS TO MAKE IT NICER TO COME IN THIS STORE TO SHOP , I WOULD GO ELSEWHERE BUT I LIKE THAT I CAN FIND WHAT I NEED RIGHT THERE. THANKS AND PLEASE DONT IGNORE THIS!!!!!!!!!

    • THEY SUCK I HATE WALGREENS AND SO DO MY FMAILY, FRIENDS ALSO! I AM REPORTING THEM TO ALL CONSUMER AGENCYS POSSIBLE. I HAD A SCRIPT SIT AT THE PHARMACY FOR 3 DAYS AND GOT NOTHIGN BUT A RUN AROUND. TOOK IT AWAY FROM THEM WENT TO MY NEAREST WINN DIXIE PHARMACY AND WAS OUT WITHIN 15 MIN. NO EXCUSE WALGREENS! • I was very upset and disappointed with the Walgreens in Bellflower, ca Store 562 5311557 I am a blind person went in the store and the casher call someone to come help and I know there was one lady at the other regester but she did not help me at all. I told the mgr and he said I was not the only one in the store. All I can say is will not go there any more. That was yesterday at 9:53

    • THEY SUCK! I PULLLED MY SCRIPT AFTER IT SAT THERE FOR 3 DAYS WENT TO WINN DIXIE IN FL. AND WAS OUT WITHIN 10 MIN. WITH MY MEDS WHAT THE F IS THEIR EXCUSE? TO MAKE PEOPLE SUFFER! THEY ARE A DISGRACE AND NEED TO BE REPORTED BY CONSUMERS TO ALL CONSUMER AGENCIES!

  • I love Walgreens, or should i say certain locations!

On Dec 29th, I once again went to the Walgreens on 1305 Casaloma Dr, Grand chute WI 54913 phn# 920-730-8218.

And Once again for like the 10th time, I was asked if I joined rewards points, I said YES!!!! And once again I never recd them. I called the store manager and she never once apologized, said its a problem with my rewards card!
How can it be an issue if the cashier never asked me for my information?????

I would like some comment from corporate about this….Why start a program if only some of your store use it and others ask but dont give you points?????

Dose Walgreens want me to go to CVS?

This is just stupid and something should be done about it…if you offer a program then train your cashiers at the Grand Chute location (NOT THE PHARMACY) to use the progranm correctly and not rip ofrf customers!!!!!!!!!

    Very Angry

  • I am very upset and disappointed with how Walgreens in Gaffney S.C. pharmacist Tyrone C. handle my prescription situation. I had become aware that there was an error on my insurance coverage on sat Dec. 8, 2012. I called several people in company and had these issues resolved. I called in and ask Tyrone to run the info through for me again with the new info that was given to me by medco on the night of Dec. 11, 2012 and again Dec. 12, 2012 am. He still said it did not go through. Well I found out he never put in the new info from the pharmacy info line. The representative even stated herself she did not think he actually believe her and recommended that I switch pharmacies. She even checked to make sure Walgreens were in my network. THEY ARE! My daughter has been without her medication that is needed everyday for school since Monday and no one seems to really care. Talk about being frustrated. I did not want to switch pharmacies because walgreens is open 24 hours and have been my family's pharmacy for quite some time now but at this point I have no other choice. I even called the store and spoke with a manager. I am currently still waiting to here from someone. Talk about customer service. I have even considered calling channel 7 news to resolve my issue.

  • Walgreens is suppose to be a no tolerance of theft but yet they have a Sr. pharmacy technician working who they have been informed and knowingly tolerate him stealing to sell control prescription medication for his own personal gain. He obtains over $600 per week in extra income due to his sale of hydrocodone and suboxone. What a shame I believe they call him a tenured employee. Biased is what others will call it!!!

  • Dear Walgreen’s CEO:
My husband and family are Walgreens clients and have made our Isla Verde, PR, employees store, part of our family. Just to mention some names: Mr. Fajardo, Mrs Díaz, Martha, Leslia, Ismael and I should say that all the Pharmacy staff in that WS are fantastic and outstanding on their duties.
What happened to my husband and myself yesterday, is also a unique example of the excellency of your employees here in Puerto Rico, where everything “we do it better”.
We were returning from a meeting at Mayaguez Enginnering school, at around 6:00pm. We are senior citizens and were a preoccupied of driving in the night, but had to return yesterday to San Juan. I was driving by Road Number 2 in Puerto Rico from Mayaguez to San Juan, a road that is very obscure until when gets to the expressway and even there we had the Walgreens trailer in front of us. Thankful to God, we had a Walgreens trailer in front of us. This huge trailer was very illuminated in the back. Its tag number is 129149A. Thanks to the superb driving skills of the driver, that we never had the chance to thank him, we had the most wonderful trip. It was like a personal guide for us. He drove at an appropriate and perfect pace. Very straight and responsible in this long trip, that is over two hours of road.
We wish to ask Walgreens Headquarters to Thank this wonderful driver. All our blessings to Him and family in this special Christmas Season. Now we can assure that Walgreens, not only have the best Pharmacy staff in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico; Walgreens can also guide us safe to our home with drivers like “Mr. Walgreens PR excellent Driver”. Enjoy you and all your beautiful people that works on your Walgreens the most beautiful season of the year: Christmas!
Naomi Del, JD & Ruben Del, MD FACS

  • I have recived a flier on my door that is Spanish on booth sides. I AM VERY OFFENDED. THE LAST TIME I KNEW I LIVED IN AMERICA. This PISSES me off. I will never go to wallgreens agian.

    • Do not get offended, Spanish is one of the most important languages. Try to learn it. Here in Puerto Rico, we receive the fliers in English, I can send you one. Enjoy Christmas and oome to PR, and you will love our Island and Walgreen'f flier tooooo!

  • I have been a Walgreen's customer for decades, purchasing pharmaceuticals and sundry other items. Today, I went to the register to purchase an item that was on sale. The clerk would not process to me at the sale price unless I signed up for a rewards card.

    I don't want a rewards card because:
    a) I don't want to surrender personal information when I fill out the application,
    b) I don't want to be subjected to email bombardment after I apply, and
    c) I don't want "Big Brother" tracking my purchase history tracked going forward.

I left my purchase at the counter. I will take my business (including prescription purchases) elsewhere.

I resent the heavy handed approach Walgreen's has taken with the Rewards Card Program.

  • Walgreens in Russellville, Arkansas. I can't understand why a company would buy out USA and not keep up with the excelent coustomer service USA had…. You go in there, there isn't enought room for anything except two people. They wait on someone then go in the back for five or ten minutes; whereas USA had three or more people to wait on coustomers. This is twice I've had problems and having to wait too long to get my meds. Me and my family will leave and go elsewhere and thats about two to four hundred dollars a month for them, plus there were two others who said they could not be back….bad store to do business with…. James

  • I think I am going to go see a lawyer. A worker I know who works for this hell hole of a company asked for a sick day for a medical procedure they needed. The district manager responded by saying to get the sick day needed, you have to tell us what the procedure is..ISN'T THERE A HIPA LAW??? Then went on to ask why was it scheduled on such an such a date.,,Come on now MR D.M. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know we go for medical procedures when the doctor schedules us. Its almost like being treated like a child in a classroom. Shame on you Walgren's and your fake policies that you make up as you go along. I really would like to start a class action suit for the way your employees are treated.. No Breaks..No Lunch..No Sick Time..No Days Off..Its a wonder your pharmacists didn't kill anyone with the schedule and the NO HELP you give them. And people complain about Walmart and having non union workers..Walmart treats there non union workers better then your company. Shame Shame Shame on you.

  • just came back from my local WALGREENS PHARM. tOLD THEM wELLBUTRIN 300xl WAS TAKEN OFF THE MARKET. tHEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT.

  • I sent information in to you about my daughters prescriptions needing to be reimbursed and I still have not had a returned phone call email or letter about this matter. Your company did not put her info in your computer when the rest of my family was added. All the info is on the same card so how her info was not added I do not know. Thank God a NEW member of your staff caught this mistake half way through the year. So we had been paying $300.00 for her allergy med which I thought was just what it cost since it was not a generic. Come to find out with my insurance it would have been $25.00. I feel I should be reimbursed since this was not my mistake.(and the associate at the store said more than likely I would be) What a huge difference this is to a single mom with 2 children. I submitted this letter and her info well over 2 months ago. Leslie Pro- Walgreen customer for many years for our prescriptions

  • CVS isn't great, but Walgreens sucks!

Try to find a mom and pop drug store in your area. They'll be more helpful and care more about you than Walgreens!

  • As a current Walgreens employee I can tell you that this isn't the company it used to be. Corporate lies to us daily and we are still cutting staff in all locations. Customer service is no longer our focus – cost cutting is. Many of us have tried to explain that poor customer service will cost us business, but those above us simply do not care. Almost everyone I know who works for Walgreens is looking for another job. That's a shame because we have some really good employees who do provide great service and really care about customers. But oh well…it's all about the numbers. And we are reminded of that daily.

    • I am a former employer of Walgreens, and was once told that the "Employees" were their most important asset. To me it was and should be the customer. If it were not for the customer we would not have (or had) jobs. Walgreens needs to get their priorities straight. But at the same time they need to take care of their employees: Pay, hours, etc

    • Also a former employee of Walgreens, and thank heaven every day that I am. It certainly is not the same company I started with 18 years ago. A friend who has been with Walgreens for over 45 years said "Mr. Walgreens is probably turning over in his grave". Greed, plain and simple; $ going to the big shots, and less and less going to employees, especially the cashiers.

  • On September 22, 2012 I dropped off a prescription at the Walgreens on 19th Ave & Northern Phoenix AZ. They didn' have it in stock and they were going to order it. On Monday September 24th I called them and they told me it was not in. I asked them to give me a phone number to another Walgreens to see if they have it. The employee told me he couldn't look it up because the computers were updating and it would take an hour. I asked if they had a manual with phone numbers to other Walgreens. He said no????????? I don't understand once upon a time we didn't have any computers and they were able to give me the information I requested. I know we live in a technolocial world but please what happened to the good old fashion way of looking things up without a computer?????? I have been a customer for many years and this is the first time I have encountered a situation like this. I know Walgreens is all about MONEY!!!! The staff didn't even offer to see if another Walgreen had my medication. They put me in a centralized system. I called Walgreen and Tanya told me that the Walgreens at 43rd & Glendale had my medication I told her I will go over there. I got the the Walgreens a male employee asked me for my name I gave it to him and he looked in the computer and said they didn't have the medication. I let him know that I spoke to Tanya (on 19th & Northern) and she told me they had it. He then went to another computer and said yes we do have it and I got my medication. What I don't understand is why an employee told me they didn't have it when he didn't even looked it up in the system????? I am very upset with these two Walgreens but I guess they don't care. I also spoke with a supervisor for what it was worth he was useless just the same as the others.

  • this week WALGREENS took over woodrow pharmacy on staten island ny. I am very disappointed. The store no longer carries metro cards, stamps and school supplies. Woodrow Pharmacy was the store to go to for school supplies. It was known that if you could not get what you need in school supplies woodrow pharmacy was the place to go to. I went into the store today they have very little school supplies I asked if they would sell metro cards and the gentlemen who was training the cashier just stood there and the lady cashier said to the gentlemen that this is a neighborhood store and customers always depended on coming in to get their medications and to buy metro cards, his response was to just stand there and not say anything. Walgreens employees from corporate should welcome customers not just stand there and say nothing. They should say if customers are requesting metro cards to be sold again then they will have it taken care of. Walgreens needs to ask the staff what school supplies were sold and they need to get everything back in. If walgreens expects to make this pharmacy work then they better take into consideration what customers want and walgreens corporate it did not look too good today when your own staff from your corporation was not friendly to a customer. PLEASE BRING BACK METRO CARDS AND STAMPS AND ALL THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES THAT WOODROW PHARMACY STOCKED. THIS STORE WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS IF THIS STUFF IS NOT BROUGHT BACK.

  • I am a very upset customer. Walgreens has terrible customer service no one knows how to handle business to get their job done. I have formally switched to CVS and is very much satified. The Walgreens in Jacksonville, FL on 103rd St SUCKS!!!!! They just need to close down all their stores it's obvious that no one knows anything especially how to treat their loyal customers….not anymore I'm done!!!!

  • Unemployed and with small children I find myself receiving government benefits and trying to save as much money as I can to make it day by day.

When I buy food at Winn Dixie, they still give me the GAS REWARDS they promiss in the items I am getting regardless if I am paying with cash or food stamps. How come in the new WALGREENS REWARDS they would not give you any reward points when I pay for medicines with medicaid?????? As far as I know they get paid for those medicines the same amount of money other insurance pay for it.
HOW DO YOU SPELL "DISCRIMINATION"? ummmmmmm

  • Anonymous: September 7, 2012 As an employee at Walgreens, the job is pretty much OK just the pay is not good, for everything you have to do to keep store running right and looking good and keep customers happy, the pay is just not good at all..I've been in retail for over 25yrs and always dealt with public and helped thousands of people, today I have to deal with not being able to be with the family on holidays, this company makes so much money it would not hurt them to close especially Thanksgiving and Christmas Days, that's just common sense. This is time for family and quiet time with loved ones, not working and feeling like there are no holidays to be celebrated, these times were put on paper for us to observe and take the time off. This country is crazy enough we as people need to step back in time alittle and take the time to enjoy the joys of life with our loved ones. This company will not go broke if they would close just for 2 holidays..I am a family person and feel that if Walgreens tlks so much about helping employees why not keep them happy, give them the time to spend with their families on holdays, that would be a blessing and keep most all family oreinted people happy and wouldn't mind working so much, alot of your emploees have small children they need to be there on these holidays with them it only seems fair to all to close up stores on those 2 special holidays…..concerned…and dissappointed.

  • I can't stand the Walgreens commercial advertising their beginnings as a military drug store. Now it doesn't even accept military insurance! Screw you Walgreens.

  • I have read all of the complaints about the Walgreens stores.I guess I have really lucked out with our store in Lafayette,In. I want to make a positive comment about them. Everyone in this store is always friendly, courteous and very helpful even when they are busy. The people that work in the pharmacy are especially nice. One time I had a slight problem with a prescription and they offered to call my Dr.for me. Quick fix. For auto refills I always get a call when my Script is ready to be picked up.I use Spiriva and when I picked it up yesterday I talked to a pharmacist and told him there had been at least 3 times that there was no powder in the capsule. They all three were from different boxes. He said he would call the mfg. and let them know. Same day he called me and said that he had talked to them and they would send me a free box. The pharmacist apologized to me even though it wasn't Walgreens fault. In my opinion all the employees that everyone has complained about probably need to get another job where they don't have to deal with the public.

  • Recently I purchased a box of DeLish castle cookies. When I opened the box, some of the cookies did not have the imprint on them as the others did. I was also wondering what csstle was used for the design. It was rather disaapointing that sll the cookies were not uniform in design. Just thought you might want to know.\ Pocatello Id.

  • I just went to a walgreens to get pictures printed. I took these pictures myself and photo shopped. After waiting for the pictures, the woman waits until they were printed and then tells me I can't have them because they gave the appearance of being professional. I've done this for years and this was the first time thia has happened to me. I'm beyond pissed! Get with the times or atleast train your ppl walgreens

  • I WAS AT WALGREEN'S FOR ALMOST FIVE YEARS AND WAS WRONGFULLY TERMINATED.didnt give a explanation or no paper filed to why i was let go

    • You HAVE to get an explanation, and there has to be papers shown to you. I would contact Personnel at corporate office. What they did not do for you is 100% wrong….But Walgreens is becoming more and more wrong in their treatment of employees.

  • I am also a loyal walgreen's customer! For my entire life, one Christmas, my extended family decided it would be fun to shop only at Walgreen's around St. Louis to get gifts, it was fun and the gifts were great! Some of the "As Seen on TV" gifts were the best. Well, I think you get the point, Walgreen's has been a fun and great business throughout my life. I am fortunate that I do not have medications and did not get caught up in the Express Scripts shenanigans and I am glad you worked it out, I love walgreen's and would be very upset without it. THANK YOU!

  • I have been a loyal Walgreens customer for 12 yrs.I had a Dr.s appt.on the 19th of June,to which i try to fill my meds @ the two closest stores in my area, one of which is in my zip code.My complaint is I have been going to the store @22829 St Rd 54 for 6 days in a row, usually Lorraine would just tell me they haven't come in yet and i told her i would try the next day.So the morning of july 25th she took my RXs to the back to expedite them, and 5 minutes later she comes back saying she cant fill this DRs scripts

  • I was to 1855 Walgreens in Stockbridge, GA. 30281 (678) 565-0648 Hudson Bridge RD. store #06209 today. I purchased a few items there. I've been to Walgreens in DE., VA., NJ., North & South Carolinas and many other states. Each time I've asked if they give military discount the answer has been "Yes". I would like clarification, if this is your policy or not. Today at the Stockbridge store they told me :No". I explained a salesperson 2-3 days ago gave it to me, this was the first time I've been turned down. please let me know as soon as possible. I've dealt with Walgreens for many years. Here is the receipt RFN# 0620 9224 1287 1207 2203. Confused

  • I HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE PHOTO LAB AT 610 PLEASANT ST BROCKTON MASS 02301. TEL 508-427-6223 THE GIRL FIRST MADE ME WAIT BEFORE I COULD DROP OFF MY CAMERA KODAK TO BE PRINTED. SHE CARRIED ON A 1/2 CONVERSATION ABOUT A WEDDING SHE WAS GOING TO, AND SHOWING THE OTHER EMPLOYEES THE DRESS SHE WAS GOING TO WEAR. PHOTO ON HER TELEPHONE. THEN SHE SAID NO 1 HOUR SERVICE COME BACK IN ABOUT 3 HOURS. WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP THE PICTURES WERE ALL BRIGHT WHITE. SHE TOLD ME SHE TURNED UP THE LIGHTING BECAUSE THEY WERE TO DARK! WELL I HAD TAKEN PICTURES OF MY OIL PAINTINGS, AND SHE RUINED THE WHOLE SET, AND CHARGED ME FULL PRICE, AND SAID NO REFUNDS.THEN THE ASSISANT MANAGER SAID THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DEVELOP CAMERAS ANYMORE STARTING AUGUST 1 2012. TERRIBLE TRAINED HELP ON PLEASANT ST IN BROCKTON MASS 02301

  • I am having a repeated problem with my perscriptions not being filled in a timely manner. (i.e. over 24 hours after being sent from the doctors office). This problem has occured with different doctors and different clinic and yesterday I was able to confirm that the problem is at Walgreens. Today when I picked up my perscription I mentioned this to the clerk and once again the blame was placed on the doctors office. The truth is it's Walgreens computer system and staff. At this point if it happens again I will no longer being shopping at Walgreens.

  • I called today to get my asthma medication filled and was on hold for 34 mins before anyone answered when they did they TOLD not ask me to hold….the afetr 44 mins and 28 seconds hung up on me…I called and spoke to Mr. Jones (manager) and asked for the # for corporate and he said he could give me district…then hung up on me….called back and got a bogus number from him….he kept saying that the pharmacist was busy and she was by herself…hanging up on an asthmatic when there are having an asthma attack….that is pitiful….I told him I could have died…he could not cared less…….this is the Walgreens on Helena Rd….there number is 205-444-9488….

  • I have had trouble with this Walgreens located at the corner of US1 and Prima Vista Blvd in Port St. Lucie, Fl since I have been going there and that is at least 5 years now. Recently I put in a prescription from my doctor and they said they had to contact him prior to filling it, however by the end of that day they had never gotten a hold of him and the next day was a holiday so there would be no way to contact him then as well. They told me they would call him that afternoon again as if they actually had attempted already, NOT! The Nurse at the Doctors office said she never received a call from Walgreen's all day. In fact they didn't bother calling as promised after I hung up the phone with them. On the day after the Holiday they still hadn't called and the Doctor called it in himself on my behalf because they neglected to call as promised. Great operation you have there. Then today 7/5/2012 I put in another prescription and this was for a Knee brace which my insurance pays for they said they could read the script and had to call the doctor to verify what he wrote, heck I could read it and I am not even a trained Pharmacist or technician. They told me to return in a couple of hours to get the brace. When I returned home that afternoon, I decided to call and check on the script and they said I would have to go to a medical supply store and get it, I am sure they wouldn't have called me ahead of time about this and I would of had to of gone down there to find out the same information. I have had too many bad incidents occur with this reticular store and will be returning to the Walgreen's on Veterans Memorial Pkwy in South Port St. Lucie soon, where they have experienced personnel that are helpful and a hell of a lot more knowledgeable with insurance carriers etc. Someone needs to go clean house at the other store.

  • Walgreens needs to have someone from corporate office pay attention to emails and complaints that are called in directly to their store managers. Too much confidence and arrogance towards people leads to distrust and not buying your merchandise

  • I am a chronic pain patient living in central Florida. For anyone who doesn't know what chronic means, it means constant. That means that I live with pain every day. Not minor pain, but serious pain, the kind that makes one contemplate suicide.
After spending about 2 hours one morning calling every Walgreens store in my area, I located one store that had my pain medication in stock. I live in a rural area so after driving about 20 minutes to get to this store, I was told by the pharmnist on duty that they would not fill my prescription because it was written out of county. I live 2 miles from the county in question, and I use a pain specialist there because there are only 3 pain specialists in the county where I reside, and they have a back list of patients waiting for an opening. I took my monthly precription to the Walgreens to fill, and as I said I was refused. The prescription is typed on non copy prescription paper, has the doctors name and address listed on the top, as well as his state license number and DEA prescribing number. It is as legal as any prescription can be.
The excuse that they could not fill the prescripton because it was from out of county has no validity as far as the DEA is concerned, it was quoted as "my policy as pharmacist". There was no legal reason not to fill the prescription whatsoever. I have been at the mercy of condecending a&%holes who run pharmacies for over 10 years now, who state that they have the option whether on not to fill any prescription as they see fit. In Florida today it seems that anyone with a prescription for pain medication regardless of age (I'm 58) or social status(I'm a retired electronics business owner with over a million dollers a year in sales) is regarded as a junky if you are required to take pain medication. I have a serious spinal injury sustained from a fall that is not repairable without major spinal surgery which has a sucess rate of about 40%. My only other option is to take pain medication. I choose pain medication over the chance of spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair if the surgery fails or complications arise. So it appears that I am at the mercy of heartless jerks like the majority of the pharmacists that I have to deal with who all seem to have some sort of 'God' complex just because they received a chemistry degree and managed to make it through a state pharmacy licensing program. I am really sick of having to deal with a never ending series of Holier than thou pill counters who feel that they have the right to decide whether or not you suffer by not filling yor precsiptions if you don't appeal to them on the day you arrive in the store where they work. The requirements for pharmacists need to be changed in Florida and probably other states also. These people (if you can call them that) have far to much power over the quality of life of their customers. I have been a member of the ACLU for over 20 years and intend to contact them Monday morning (tomorrow) to enlist their aid in filing suit against Walgreens on a state or federal level. We are guaranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of happeness by the constitution of this country, and its very hard to pursue happeness when you are in excruciating pain caused by some jerk who chooses not to fill your prescription just because state law says he does not have to if he does not want to, for any reason, including the color of your eyes or hair. The laws need to be changed. Please contact your state representative as I have and ask that new guidelines be implemented concerning reasons for not filling prescriptions. Otherwise we will always be at the mercy of the egomaniacs with a pill counter behind most pharmacy counters.

    • I know the feeling, they treat people like they are drug addicts. I'd like to wish on them what I experience, and I know that's not the Christian thing to do, but oh well.

    • I know the feeling. I just submitted a complaint to every email address I can find, but I am confident it will fall on deaf ears. I have been a customer of the same Walgreens for many years, but my wife goes to the CVS across the street. On several occasions, CVS ran out of her pain meds. The first time I told her to go to "my" Walgreens, and they will treat her right. And they did. That was a month or two ago. Fast forward to July 21, the same thing happened, so I said, "Why not just switch to Walgreens, they are the best". Well, the condescending arrogant pill counter whose name sounds something like "Puss Peckerman" informed her that since it had been a while since she filled an Rx there, they were denying the refill. Her MRI's look like a train wreck, and she can barely walk without meds, and this jerk has put himself above her doctor! It is not his job to assess the patient. It's his job to STFU and count the effing pills. It's not my fault this a-hole was too stupid to get into med school. Here I go again getting ticked off. I better stop now. Thanks for a very well written letter, and I wish you the best of luck.

  • On Tuesday, June 26, 2012 my wife went to Walgreens at 1601 Sandifer Blvd., Seneca, SC 29678 to obtain a prescription refill. The refill consisted of FreeStyle Lite Blood Glucose Test Strips. This strips come prepackaged in a small box. She was finally able to walk away with the refills after a 45 minute wait!

On Thursday, June 28, 2012 I went to the same Walgreens to obtain an identical prescription refill. There was no one ahead of me but I stood there for 5 minutes without the clerk ever recognizing my presence. I then went to a store manager and lodged a complaint about the behavior of the clerk and then returned to the pharmacy section, where there were 2 people ahead of me. I waited from 12:35 pm until 1:10 pm to collect my prescription refill. It was already packaged and ready to go.

This is the lack of service I will not tolerate. Today was my last visit to Walgreens.

  • my walgreens is in biloxi mississippi, they tell you when the meds are to be picked up and when we go to do that they say that the meds can not be picked up till tomorrow. this was the pharmisists who said that every time.the day before it was the same pharmisists who said they would be ready today. this "it will be ready the next day "stuff has been going on for three days!!! And this is not the first time this has happened!! It is a pharmisist who has said it to me each time! They have lost refills, said we can't have meds on the day we know we can. They even said that it is up to the pharmisist as to when you get your meds!! I can understand the law saying what they say, and I can understand the insurance company saying what they say. but when it is legal, and the insurance is okay or you can pay full price, why can't you give me my meds??? Why do you say the meds are not there when I just turned in a new script? Why do you think you can play GOD with our meds and our health?

  • I would like the corporate office to be aware of the numerous trips I must make for each photo pick-up due to the darkness of the photo. With each order I have to return for photos to be lightened. Is this a problem for all African American photos? I have spoken with other African Americans who refuse to use Walgreens for this reason. Walgreens is convenient for me, however, I am at the point of changing also. Viewing the photo would make one aware immediately that the process should be done. Have the photo machines changed? I hate making two trips for each photo order!! Help is needed in Fort Worth, Texas

    • you may need to get a digitil camera so you can do them yourself on the computer. untill then, maybe check them before you leave.

  • I go to the walgreens in Dayton, Ohio. Its the one on Smithville Rd. They have had two accounts for me for a while. (no I have no clue how they managed that) but the other day while picking up my .25mg of synthroid (daw) they said they would combine them both so I only have one acct. Fine. Untill I went to refill the 200mg of synthroid. They said that it was gone and that my dr had to call it in.. Did that, well since they lost my pre-auth in the "fixing" of my account The insurance will not pay for it, but I can pick up the generic today…. Now why would I take meds that do nothing for me????????????? This is not the first time they screwed it up and my thyroid level bottomed out! Oh did I mention the fact that here in a couple of weeks I have to have a mass removed from my gallbladder and possibly part of my liver.. Yea I dont see that going well if I have no thyroid hormone in me! So Im here to promise you that if I die on that table because of something like this my daughter will own EVERY walgreens in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Sincerely
    Ms.Bundy

  • I was in store #04776 with my 6 year old and carrying my 9 month old at 8pm on Monday night 6/18/12 to get baby formula. I walked every single aisle and not one employee could be found. I had to wait in line up front to get help called back to the baby aisle. I waited quite some time in that aisle and finally Beth showed up and asked what I needed. I told her the Alimentum baby formula that for some reason you now keep under lock and key to make it even more diffucult for customers to buy it since there are no employees on the floor and no one to ask. Beth opened the formula but refused to let me put it in my basket. She insisted that she would put it at the cosmetics counter for me instead. WHY?! There was obviously no one working in cosmetics that evening?! She treated me like I was going to steal the formula! I am in there almost weekly and always spend over $100 without even trying. I know several employees and always say hello: the light eyed young guy who runs register, the funny african american guy who hands out coupons on the weekends, the helpful african american lady from the pharmacy area who always helps me find certain vitamins, the two older ladies who always work in cosmetics and the nice looking guy who is always in the photo area. I have never seen Beth before and frankly she is not fit to deal with the public. I told her that there was no way that I was going to wait AGAIN in cosmetics for someone else who would never show up. Please picture that I am almost 6 months pregnant and also carrying a 20 pound child in my arms. So Beth insisted that I still could not have the formula and she would be taking it up front for me. Really?? When I passed her again I asked for her name and she only stated that she was the Manager. But I saw "Beth" on her name badge. I asked who her manager was and she said "Steve" but would not tell me anything else. She asked why I was so upset and I told her how difficult it is to have to travel the entire store looking for help and then to be treated like a criminal. She said that she "came as fast as she could" and she couldn't help that employees call off. No, but she is supposed to be the Manager so she should be responsible to adequately staffing the store or at least being on the floor if needed and not off hiding somewhere. Also, why on earth would she suggest taking the formula to the Cosmetics check-out when she CLEARLY knows that there is no employee working there tonight??

So I dragged everyone up front and the old lady behind the counter, who clearly was new, kept asking me if I wanted the formula? OF COURSE I WANT IT – I AM CARRYING A CHILD WITH ME WHO NEEDS IT!!! I asked the cashier (who laughed that she was the one who was supposed to be in Cosmetics tonight….oh so funny) for "Steve's" phone number which she could NOT provider. She said the store number would be printed on my receipt eventually. Very helpful. Also, she would not stop touching my child, that I had to stil down on the counter because a 5 minute trip in your store has now cost me 30 minutes of my time. She was offended when I asked her to stop touching my child and tried to THROW coupons at me as I was leaving.

Let me tell you that the condescending and callous behavior of these two employees has cost you a loyal customer. I did not visit Walgreens for your low prices or convenience. Acme is the same distance from my house and the Alimentum baby formula is only $27.99 at Acme and not $29.99 like it is at Walgreens…..and they do not lock it up!! I came for the small store feel and nice employees. But I'd rather go to Acme, pay less, not be treated like a criminal and not have to look for someone to unlock my items than to have to deal with a uptight snot like Beth ever again. She needs to be fired or you will continue to see your loyal clientele dwindle.

  • To whom it may be concern,

I was at your 1333 Castro Street, SF, CA 94114 (Store ID 2088) location a few times. One of the staff in the name of Jonathan Ly is really disrespectful. I was trying to find an item and he seems like he doesn't want to help me. He just points at one direction and walks away. He's done that a few times. I don't know why you have him as an assistant manager and is not willing to satisfy customer's needs. Isn't customer's always a priority when it comes to customer service? He doesn't provide me any good customer service.

The next time when I went back to the same location, he was the one I saw on the sales floor so I asked him again about an item. He said he's on break, ignored my question, and walked away. When I walked over to the next aisle, I see him having fun with his colleagues. If he's on the sales floor, he's supposed to help customers and not to have fun. If he can't provide any customer service, why does he have to work as a customer service? I can see that this person doesn't take his job seriously. Work is work. Leave the fun outside of work.

I really don't want to write a complain about this person, but from these few times that I experienced with him, I don't think I want to go back to your store. I'm sorry to say, but I'll have to let others know how bad the customer service was at this particular location. Jonathan can be a hard worker, but I don't see that. The last few times I've been here, he seems like he's just having fun with his colleagues and not helping customers.

I hope you will improve your customer service.

    Regards,
    Cindy W.

  • My Name is Hiramitta Perez and I am quite concern because I got my prescriptions refilled in Clearwater Florida and in Harbor City California, but when I came back home to Puerto Rico a buy the same prescription in Humacao Puerto Rico and it cost me double what I payed in the states. Now I know there are some fees that need to come up because of import costs buy DOUBLE. My insurance does not cover my carisoprodol 350mg anymore and I have to use it because of my back issues. But why pay so much? I payed in Florida and in California $12.00 with some change for a 30 prescription, why does it cost me $30.16 in Puerto Rico for the same amount. I haved always been a customer of Walgreens because of the accessability to get all of it with no hassle while I am traveling, but I am really considering going with CVS Pharmacy because this is so unfare.

  • Yesterday June 5, 2012 I took a perscription to Walgreens in Muskegon, MI on the Corner of Getty St. and Apple Ave. I was told that the medicine (a tube of Jell)wasn't in stock. I was told it would be in today June 6, 2012. This evening at 7:00 pm I wenn to pick up Medicine and it wasn't in. I was assured it would be in today. I have muscel spasms in my neck and I am in dire need for my medicine. This isn"t the first time this has happen. The employees in the pharmacy take no interest in their customer. It's too much kidding around to perfect their job. I really hate ti complain but this matter is getting serious. I have been a long standing customer with Walgreens Pharmacy but if this continue I will go elsewhere. Muscle spasms is very painful.

  • Today, June 6,2012 In went to Walgreens in Muskegon, Mi on the corner Of Getty and Apple to pick up my perscription that I had left yesterday to be filled. I was told that the medicine (a jell for my muscel spasms)perscript for me wasn't in stock and they would order it and I could pick up today. This evening I went to pick up medicine and it wasn't in. I was told to come back tomorrow. Now I am beginning to wonder if it was ordered. I really need mh medicine. The employees has gotten so they have no interest in their customers. I have been a customer for several years but the service is getting terrible. I will move my service to another pharmcy. I, Luella Gilbert is very displeased with their service. Many times in the past I have waited until next day service.

  • Port Charlotte walgreens on port charlottr Blvd…..I have been getting meds there for two years for me and my kids a fill in t hat is there refused to fill my meds!!!! Now I been without my meds! How is it right to no im dont fill my meds its my health thats wrong!!!

  • Dear Walgreens,

I am writing to ask if it is at all possible to spend some time in your Walgreens store, number 3770 in El Cerrito California. I live close to this particular store & would frequent it more often if the customer service was at least bearable. I have however been present enough times in this store to ask that employee trainings in particular for customer service is implemented as soon as possible.

There is a total attitude towards providing a good, quality service to people who are spending money in this store. If you were to read Yelp as part of your improving your services it would be quite clear that this store is in need of employees who care, are polite and are willing to work when on the job.

Too often this has not been the case especially within the photo dept.

I hope that my writing to you after a number of attempts to speak to a person in the store, who had no clue what was happening and after calling the store to speak to a manager, who did not pick up you will take some kind of action to improve this neighborhood store.

This was originally sent to your corporate email but since it came back to me I hope you will take note of my email/comments

    Yours sincerely

    Jacki M

  • 6-3-2012 i just hung up w/carolyn the pharmacist on duty at atascadero, ca walgreens. i was just told by her that my daughters medication was not ordered because it was past cut off time to order. We ordered this at the counter in the middle of day. she proceeded to tell me that we said it wasnt important to order right away…..any excuse she could come up with…..same thing last night picking up my father in laws medication who has terminal cancer….my daughter has a rare problems and cannot stop her medication without a taper. she also will be straight back in the hospital. on another occaision we had her medicaition doubled in strength………i know a person that gets hiv meds there and lives 50 miles out of town….she on auto refill, it still takes her usually 3 trips to town at these gas prices and 1 hour each way……for medication that she is to never skip a dose of…..i really duno who is running this place but it is way out of control!!!!!!! i guess their education leaves out the mgmt skills.
p.s. i thought we were all taught not to lie as children…..really right now? and you call yourself a professional adult not just an adult.

  • My wife and I shop at Walgreens # 00623 which is in Miller Heights in Miami Dade County.
This walgreens will be moved to a new building in about a year from now and all we here from your store people is that things will get better once we move to the new store. LOL
I use Arrid Extra Dry Clear Gel Deodorant Morning Clean, this store has been out of this product for over 6 months, all I get from your peopl is that we are out and we don't know as to when we will get it, in thne meantime the store 3 miles away has 20 of this item on the shelf.
I use Tylenol PM, sorry no longer availbale at this locatipon.
I use LA Sport Hair Gel Blue, sorry we are out and we don't know as to when we get it.
Get my point. You wants us to wait a yera for things to get better. I didn't know I was in a counytry that we had to way months for things.

We spent over $6,000 in the last 18 months at Walgreens.

  • Pharmacist Renee denied to give me my medication, then tells me to come back 2 days later they still play games AND NO MEDICINE!!!!!!!! . I was told I had to pick up my med refill on June 9, 5 weeks after the previous refill, because she felt I was abusing this drug.Really?, if my doctor says I need it, and my insurance will cover it, what gives her the right to tell me when and how I should take my medication.I was lied to telling me my insurance wouldn't let me fill til the 9th, but I went to another pharmacy with the same refill, and it went right through. I called my insurance and they said they never denied the script. I see my Dr. every 3 months, and she has no right to dispense my meds to her satisfaction.I will not be back unless this problem is fixed. Sincerely, Deidrea Stanke

    • Pharmacists have the right to say to no filling your prescription. The FDA can ale their license away if the pharmacist is giving out controlled medicines early or are filling prescriptions that aren't appropriate for filling. Some pharmacists are more conservative because they want to follow the laws, and it is actually their right! You are wrong saying that

  • I JUST WANTED TO LET THE CORPORATE OFFICE KNOW AND THE ENTIRE STATE OF FLORIDA THAT WALGREENS PHARMACY STORE#1127 LOCATED AT 850 43rd AVE SW VERO BEACH, FLORIDA 32962 HAS PHARMACISTS VIOLATING THE PATIENTS BILL OF RIGHTS AND HIPPA. THEY ARE TELLING PATIENTS THAT "THEY WILL NOT FILL MEDICATIONS FROM THEIR NORMAL PHYSICIAN BUT WILL FILL THEIR MEDICATIONS IF THEY GO TO THIS DOCTOR". THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THESE PHARMACISTS ARE OUT OF CONTROL AND ITS ILLEGAL FOR A PHARMACIST TO INDIRECTLY FORCE ME TO GO TO THEIR DOCTOR. I HAD MY PHYSICIAN'S OFFICE CALL OVER TO THE PHARMACY AND OF COURSE THE PHARMACISTS DENIED IT. WHAT B.S.!!! I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT WALGREENS IS DOING TO ME. THE CORPORATE OFFICE CAN DO THEIR RESEARCH AND SEE WHO WAS SCHEDULED THAT DAY. ON FRIDAY 05/25/12 THIS SITUATION OCCURRED AT STORE# 1127. THE CORPORATE OFFICE NEEDS TO SEND OUT IN THEIR DAILY EMAIL UPDATES TO EVERY STORE, THIS NOT TOLERATED AND WALGREENS PHARMACY PRIDES THEMSELVES ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CARE!!!!!

  • My husband and I went to the Wal greens in Fresno, ca. On Shaw and palm. We had our 4yr old daughter with us. my husband just got out of the emergency room. After being in the ER for 6 hrs we drove to walgreens to get his prescription. He had anaphylactic shock and needed his prescription asap. We got to Walgrees around 1:50 am. Immediately, the man at counter said they didn't accept our insurance (blue cross ppo) since January 2012. We told him that can't be because my husband just had his prescription filled 2 months ago! He then said that our insurance didn't Connery the prescription without inputting the information. after going back n fourth he finally pulled up our information n said we're covered! We waited 15 minutes. He told us they only carried 2 eppi-pens (prescription was for only one). He told us to go check at different Walgreens tomorrow. We said we didn't want to wait since my husband had very serious allergic reaction. We called the ER room n doctor wanted him to fax form saying Walgreens only carried 2. He didn't want to fax the form. He said ohhhh the ER will take forever you shoulf just go to.a diffetent walgreens because its going to take a very, very long time. He then said but most likely walgreens will only carry 2. he went back to watching the internet our TV. He seemed like he was to busy doing something else. It's now 3:01am n i'm sorting here with my daughter n husband. He's being very difficult. I'm in disbelief how he tried to turn us away! He clearly sees us waiting patiently but he can care less. It's almost like he's annoyed that we're trying to fill our prescription n interrupting his quiet night shift. I'm switching my pharmacy after this. I spend hundreds of dollars at walgreens every year but I won't be now n I'm yelling everyone about this! I'm very upset n disappointed! Please email me at nancy_kia@yahoo.com

    • I AGREE WITH YOU 100% I HAD A SIMPLE SCRIPT LEFT FOR 3 DAYS AND COULD NEVER GET AN ANSWER FROM THE PHARMCIST JUST A BIG RUN AROUND. I PULLED MY SCRIPT OUT FROM THEM AND WENT TO WINN DIXIE PHARMACY IN FL. AND WAS OUT THE DOOR WITHIN 10 MIN WITH MY MEDS. WA;GREMS IS A DISGRACE AND SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CALLED A PHAMACY NOT ONLY I , BUT FAMILY, FRIENDS ALSO HAD VERY BAD EXPERIENCES AS WELL. THEY NEED TO BE REPORTED TO COMSUMER ACTION AGENCY WHICH IS WHAT I AM GOING TO DO. I WILL NEVER RECCOMEND OR GO TO A WALGREENS IF I WAS DYING!

  • WHY WOULD YOU STOP 1HOUR PHOTO WHILE OTHERS ARE STOPPING THEIRS. DO YOU REALLY THINK THATS A SMART FINANCIAL MOVE?

  • I just returned from Walgreens #06672 at 909 David Drive in Metairie. I was there to return a product that I purchased last week. There was only one cashier working. The person in front of me had a coupon for $1.00 off of the product she was purchasing; however, the cashier did not know how to ring up the coupon and had to call the manager. Her call was not answered. She tried again and said she did not know how to do it and would have to get help. Finally the assistant manager, Chad, came to the register They finally got it to work for her but he had to go get his key to do my refund. After he walked off, the cashier, Shelley, proceeded to take the next customer in line. I asked her "Can't you do this?" She mouthed off to me in a very loud voice. I told her that she had a really bad attitude and was very rude. By this time the assistant manager returned and told me that they always take the next customer in line when they have to wait on something for the current transaction. He also had a very bad attitude and I told him so. His reply was, "look, I am doing this and I'm off the clock". I told him that it was not my fault and he should not speak to me in such a manner. I won't be going back to Walgreens.

    • they are aholes i agree. RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, NASTY, IN FLA DO NOT EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH AS THEY GET POSITIONS WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEAK ENGLISH WHEN THEY COME HERE ILLEGALLY TO BOOT!!!! AND WG HIRES THEM!!!! I WILL NOT SPEAK WITH THEM. you are in my country, speak english as the early immigrants had to do. or go back to wherever the hell you came from. living here illegally, off our welfare, and hate us, and will not learn english!!!! what the hell….. get them out of this country and keep them out!

  • i made a huge mistake when i opted for automatic refills at walgreeens, I was still calling in my prescriptions and picking them up at a local walgreens so thought the auto refill was not going to happen, BUT on March 18 I called in for my advair, got a reply that there were insurance problems, called back a few days later and was told that i had picked it up on the 20th of march. it wasn't me and in trying to resolve this issue I talked to 4 people who told me the same, I think I should tell you that I live in
florida and the delivery place is in Arizona.
since then i have made numerous calls to get off the auto refill, the website shows that auto refill is off and I have been reassured that I will not be getting anything unless i call it in, since then I have received two medications that i didn't order. Is there anyone at walgreens who has half a brain and knows what they are doing ??? if so, i sure would like to know about it. I won't even go in a walgreens store anymore . Disappointed and very angry in Florida

  • I went into a Ft. Laud 'take care' center today to have my blood pressure monitored. The nurse that I usually see was on vacation in 'Prague'. The person that was filling in (not sure that she was a nurse never identified herself) refused to take my blood pressure. She said that I have been there two or three times in the past and they have a policy on how many times blood pressure can be taken for free. I would have paid her to help me as I'm trying to get the blood pressure under control, but she was very dismissive. I know my blood pressure went up after my encounter with this individual. Thanks a lot Walgreens. I'll be sure to tell all my friends and relatives who I informed about this new 'take care' clinic…..not to bother to go!

  • i am completely dissatisfied with the way Walgreen's treats their customers. they are extremely rude, inconsiderate, and uncooperative in every which way.not to mention their employees are inattentive to help you with what you need. please change to another pharmacy. anyone is better then them.

  • can someone please update the website and include the Farm and Durango information in Las Vegas. thanks

  • On tuesday morning on May 1st 2012 i went into the walgreens in north miami beach on 167 street and ask the manager or assistant manager what time the pharmacy open and both of their attitude was very poor they were very nasty and i plan to take this further i have never been inside that store in more than 10 years i usually use the drive thru i wish i never went in there today.

  • I suggest everyone change from Walgreens. I have been verbally attacked by employees and belittled by them , as a customer who uses coupons, do not tell your customers they are thieves and refuse their coupons!!! You are paid by the companies for the products…make sure your employees understand what the policy is. It is a disgrace for your company to even have illiterate cashiers who think they can demean your customers and then can not even count change!! I am on many blogs that say how great you all are when it comes to couponers….well, I am personally emailing all of them and hope to boycott your stores completely! My local news stations are also being notified of how you treat customers on a daily basis! CVS is much better and more intelligent staff!

    • I also had a bad experience at Walgreens's Pharmacy department recently and will be switching to another drug store.

  • I am following the story in Lowell Ma regarding the new Wallgreens and it's refusal to hook a sewer line in for over 1000+ soccer kids next to their new store. This was on the table with your builder and now he refuses to tie in. These bathrooms overflow and cannot be used during the week. This has become a major political issue in this City because the president of Lowell Youth Soccer is a City Councilor. There are letters to the Editor, bloggers are writing about what a poor corporate co Wallgreens is and they will not patronize your store. I for one will be taking my business elsewhere. I have been a customer with your pharmacy since you opened your store on Plain st and I use the Walgreens in Jupiter Florida, this will stop. This is a PR nightmare for Walgreens, with all your money you can't tie in a sewer line in order to make a 1000 kids plus their parents and families happy. Do the right thing, your builder is not doing your reputation any favors by acting in such a stubborn way. This is causing a lot of bad publicity for your company. CVS anyone!!!

  • The following message was taken from your website:

"Q: What are Walgreens company values?
    A:Our Values
Based on the principles upon which Walgreens was founded more than a century ago:
Honesty, trust, and integrity with our customers, our shareholders, suppliers, the communities we serve, and among ourselves.
Quality through consistent and reliable service, advice, and products across every touchpoint and channel.
Caring, compassionate and driven to delivering a great customer and patient experience through outstanding service and a desire for healthy outcomes.
A strong community commitment and presence built through service, expertise, and the personal engagement of every Walgreen team member."

We have been a landscape vendor for the Meridian, MS store for approximately two years now with no issues (store #07580). We were recently told our services were no longer needed so that a company out of Jackson, MS (90 minutes away) could take over as the landscape contractor for the two Meridian, MS stores. You decided to do away with local vendors; people from the same population that you depend on to keep you in business. Instead, you gave the business to a vendor in Jackson, MS who will never send his friends or family to your stores in our area to do business. I understand as a corporate giant you could care less about the little guy or even the local guy….it is all about the ease of writing one check as opposed to many. However, in the defense of myself and the other local contractor you kicked to the curb for the ease of accounting, I would like to say that you should greatly consider removing your so called "Community Commitment" portion from your website. You have no intention of being part of our community and your actions will definitely be known among our friends at the local chamber of commerce. We feel it necessary to educate them on how Walgreens conducts local business, so that more of them will be aware and will be more inclined to use our local pharmacies.

    • well walgreens. i have had some pharmacists fired in two states i lived in because of abuse of customers. .that felt very good as they were evil and pretty downright mean and a buillies. i am abused myself in many of the stores in my area and other places i have lived in this country, and i have been abused on the telephone by walgreens, and try to speak with corporate? forget it. a customer service witch will give you a ration of abuse and bullying and then hang up on you if you complain about it….
i have bought many medical devices for many or my clients and i have NEVER found one that worked right. i have had to return hundreds of items, usually pulse oximeters, bp machines both wrist and arm of all types, and other medicl devices. i have found that boxes were returned and put back on the shelf. i marked one to see if my suspicions are correct and they sure are. so now i always make sure when i have to return something that did not work right out of the box, i do something to prove it when i go back and see it on the shelf. a few times i got one that i had returned due to non working status. only two managers in two stores told me that they are always getting most of them back due to defects and that they even discontinue carrying them, whichever devices he found to be always returned for defects, and he told me which not to buy, but all brands seem to be dumping their rejects and reconed items as walgreens might just get items at a huge discount to carry and sell reconditioned and no sell in other stores due to problems. how is that one…. intresting huh? it is disgusting and i see it with many many companies all the way up to big medical equipment, just to save a buck?? and put people in jeapordy? and the vendors do that massive buy out from stores of their no sell items and returns and then the vendor or distributor sells them to stores at a discount. what a scam! i wish the gov was not involved with so much of the scams as it will never investigate things like this and seems to be involved in the kickback game, IN MY OPINION, MY EDUCATED OPINION. check it out for yourself. see how many are returns and open boxes, and medical equipment which should NEVER be resold……. this is a first world country acting like a fourth world country.

  • Why is there no Walgreen's in Morton, Il? Here is a city of almost 17,000 people and no Walgreen's. The nearest is in East Peoria which is 10 miles away. There is prime property in Morton, close to the interstate and close to Walmart. We have a CVS, K-Mart and Walmart..all of which have no drive through service. Please look into this..I have written to your company before but to no avail. We need a Walgreen's!!!

    • Blame that on the city of Morton. Walgreens wanted to build, but where they wanted to build the city told them no go. If you notice almost every walgreens is on a corner.

  • I am a walgreens employee and i feel i was verbally atacked by one of my managers(ms.hefner)at store 6959 yesterday on 4 6 2012 i am hurt and very upset about this….she asked me not to do something again so i didnt and she verbally attacked about it… and sent me home early which is a loss of hours that i cannot afford to miss…i do not appreciate this action she took while on the sales floor instead of the office where matters should be taken care of…please rsvp to ms.goodson as soon as possible thanx and have a great day

  • Some Walgreens have a very high theft rate and they put these policies in affect to help out other customers.because when people steal every one else has to suffer because prices will go up. don't blame walgreens because of this policy. blame other people to come to the store and steal merchandise.I am black and there is no race card here.

  • Walgreens sucks. They are making major cuts. Tomorrow is either my wife's last day or she can take a different position losing $2 an hour. And who knows what kind of hours she would get. Lots of employees are losing hours, wages, or even their job. I wonder if any of the big wigs are taking a pay cut?

    • You can thank that idiot president for that. That is happening everywhere across the country with every type of job imaginable, such as mine. Do not blame Wal-Greens. Get idiotic democrats and you will see things immediately begin to improve.

  • Walgreens Dist Center in Waxahachie Tx is very very unfair to their employee's they state that they have the open door policy when in fact all they care abt is making their numbers and managment getting their bonuses They over work you. And there turn around is outrageous i worked there for 8 years and was terminated unjustly…. it really is a joke there is so much oppression its not even real….. Hr never returns calls and they are not allowed to talk with the people on the floor Scott T has made that place a joke…… When Chris J was there people got the work done and actually enjoyed their job….. Mike N. and Renee J are a joke to selfish think they know it all yet do nothing for their emplyee's except fault find… Maybe you need to find out what is really happening at that DC make suprise visits they allways know when ya are coming and of course the race is on to make everything perfect when in truth the rest of the time it is a mess… they have no compassion on the human race if it is not to their benefit ya really need to get some real upper managment in there and also change the Hr staff they have been there to long and are very rude to people…. Just wanted to let you know what is really going on in the Waxahachie Dist Center

  • I have been working with a young man, Brian Kemp,at the Walgreen store at HWY 54 and Dean Dairy Road in Zephyrhills, FL. He has assisted me in developing DVDs for my grandchildren for Christmas. First he has a great knowledge of the procedure, has instructed me to accomplish 4 DVDs with 4 more to go. In addition to providing me support to accomplish this I've seen him do multiple tasks in the store especially to improve the store's appearance. I am retired and I thought "wow" I would have loved to have an individual like Brian to have worked for me. You are lucky to have him on your staff. He is probably the most efficient employee I've dealt with in this area for the past four years….Go Brian…..A very happy customer.
