Express Corporate Office Headquarters: Address, Phone Number and Complaints

🗨  Comments

Express maintains its corporate headquarters and Customer Service mailing address at 1 Express Drive, Columbus, OH 43230. The Express retail business is now operated by PHOENIX Retail, LLC, which also operates Bonobos. Customers needing help with an order, return, delivery, store experience, Express Insider account, gift card, or product complaint can contact Express Customer Service at 1-888-397-1980 or ta**@*****ss.com before escalating an unresolved matter to the Columbus headquarters.

Express Corporate Office and Headquarters Contact Information

The former Express, Inc. corporate number 1-614-474-4001 appeared in historical public-company filings and older Express directories. It is not prominently identified through current Express or PHOENIX Retail customer-contact resources as the present public corporate switchboard.

The number 1-888-397-1980 is the primary current Express Customer Service number. It should not be described as a private executive-office, Human Resources, payroll, media, investor-relations, or credit-card account number.

Where Is Express Headquarters?

Express and Bonobos maintain their current PHOENIX Retail headquarters in Columbus at:

PHOENIX Retail, LLC
Express
1 Express Drive
Columbus, OH 43230

This is the address readers generally seek when searching for Express corporate office, Express headquarters, Express HQ, Express clothing headquarters, Express home office, Express mailing address, or Express headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Current Express career postings identify the Columbus location as the Express and Bonobos corporate headquarters. PHOENIX also maintains a New York office associated with the brands.

The Columbus headquarters is not a retail store, public return counter, credit-card office, warehouse pickup location, employment-verification center, or walk-in complaint department.

Customers should not visit expecting an immediate refund, return, product exchange, order cancellation, account adjustment, job interview, or meeting with a company executive.

Who Owns Express?

Express is no longer operated through the former publicly traded Express, Inc. structure.

The former company entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in 2024. Most of its Express and Bonobos retail operations were then acquired by PHOENIX Retail, LLC.

PHOENIX was formed through a group involving:

  • WHP Global
  • An affiliate of Simon Property Group
  • Brookfield Properties
  • Centennial Real Estate

PHOENIX now operates the direct-to-consumer Express and Bonobos businesses in the United States, including their stores and e-commerce operations.

Greg Scott serves as CEO of PHOENIX and leads the Express and Bonobos operating platform.

The former Express stock symbols should not be presented as current investment information. Express is now part of a privately held retail operating platform rather than an independent public company.

Express Corporate Office vs. Customer Service and Stores

The Columbus headquarters supports functions such as:

  • Executive leadership and brand strategy
  • Design, merchandising, and planning
  • Marketing and e-commerce
  • Finance, legal affairs, and Human Resources
  • Supply chain, sourcing, and production
  • Store operations and real estate
  • Express Insider and customer strategy

Express Customer Service normally handles:

  • Express.com orders
  • Shipping and delivery questions
  • Returns and refunds
  • Incorrect, missing, or damaged items
  • Express Insider accounts and Express Cash
  • Gift cards
  • Website and account assistance
  • General product questions
  • Store-experience escalation

Local Express stores normally handle:

  • In-store purchases and receipts
  • Store returns and exchanges
  • Fitting-room issues
  • Buy Online, Pick Up In Store orders
  • Store inventory
  • Local employee or manager conduct
  • Pricing and promotion questions

A letter to headquarters does not automatically cancel an order, create a return authorization, preserve a return deadline, change a Comenity credit-card account, or open a Customer Service case.

What to Have Before Contacting Express

  • The order number or store receipt
  • The purchaser’s name and email address
  • The purchase and delivery dates
  • The store name, mall, city, and state
  • The item name, style number, size, color, and price
  • The shipment-tracking number
  • Photographs of the item, packaging, or damage
  • The payment method
  • The Express Insider account email or phone number, provided privately
  • Earlier Customer Service references
  • The specific refund, replacement, return, correction, or other resolution requested

Do not publish complete order numbers, credit-card numbers, gift-card numbers, Express Insider account information, passwords, home addresses, private phone numbers, personal email addresses, employee personal information, or unredacted receipts in a public review.

How to Escalate an Express Complaint

Begin with Express Customer Service or the store involved.

For a local store complaint, ask to speak with the store manager. Explain what happened, identify the date and approximate time, and state the requested resolution.

For an unresolved store experience, contact central Customer Service at 1-888-397-1980, select option 3, or email ta**@*****ss.com.

For an online-order complaint, provide the order number privately and identify whether the problem involves shipping, cancellation, missing merchandise, damage, pricing, a refund, or a return.

Ask the representative to document the complaint and retain any case, interaction, return, or order reference.

For a substantial matter that remains unresolved, correspondence may be mailed to:

PHOENIX Retail, LLC
Express Customer Service
1 Express Drive
Columbus, OH 43230

Include copies of the receipt, order confirmation, photographs, previous correspondence, relevant policy, and requested resolution.

Send copies rather than original receipts, identity documents, payment records, or legal papers.

Do not mail clothing, footwear, gift cards, damaged merchandise, or other physical evidence to headquarters unless Express provides specific return instructions.

Express Returns and Refund Complaints

Most qualifying Express merchandise may currently be returned within 30 days of purchase.

Customers generally need a receipt or another accepted form of proof of purchase.

Clearance merchandise is currently identified as final sale and may not qualify for return or exchange.

Other restrictions may apply to:

  • Worn, washed, or damaged merchandise
  • Items missing tags
  • Final-sale or clearance items
  • Products purchased from another retailer
  • Returns submitted outside the permitted period
  • Items excluded for hygiene or other stated reasons

Review the current policy before mailing or taking an item to a store.

Keep the return-tracking number and confirmation until the refund appears.

An original shipping charge, return fee, promotional discount, Express Cash redemption, or gift-card payment may affect how the final refund is calculated.

A corporate-office letter does not extend the return period or guarantee an exception.

Express Order, Shipping, and Delivery Complaints

Order complaints may involve:

  • An item cancelled because inventory was unavailable
  • A delayed shipment
  • A package marked delivered but not received
  • An incorrect item
  • Missing merchandise
  • Damage during shipping
  • A delayed refund
  • A promotion that did not apply as expected

Check the Order Tracking page and carrier information first.

When tracking shows delivery but the package is missing, check the delivery area, household members, neighbors, building office, and carrier photograph before contacting Express.

Retain the package, shipping label, packing materials, and photographs when an order arrives damaged, opened, empty, or incomplete.

Do not discard the merchandise or packaging until Customer Service provides instructions.

Express Store and Employee Complaints

Store complaints may concern:

  • Employee or manager conduct
  • Fitting-room treatment
  • Perceived profiling or excessive monitoring
  • A store return
  • A pricing or promotion dispute
  • Pickup-order handling
  • Store cleanliness or safety
  • Difficulty receiving assistance

Begin with the manager on duty.

When describing a sensitive interaction, report the observable conduct rather than assuming an employee’s intent. Include what was said or done, where it occurred, and how the manager responded.

For an unresolved store experience, call 1-888-397-1980 and select option 3 or email ta**@*****ss.com.

Avoid publishing an employee’s full name unless it is necessary to identify a manager involved in a documented complaint.

Express Credit Card Complaints

The Express Credit Card is issued and managed by Comenity Bank.

Cardmembers can call 1-800-201-4955. TDD/TTY support is available at 1-800-695-1788.

Contact Comenity for:

  • Card payments and statements
  • Interest, fees, and payment posting
  • Lost or stolen cards
  • Unauthorized credit-card transactions
  • Credit decisions and account limits
  • Online card-account access
  • Closing a credit-card account

Express Customer Service may help with merchandise, returns, rewards, or promotional questions, but it cannot directly change a Comenity credit decision, interest charge, late fee, or account status.

Do not post card numbers, security codes, statements, account credentials, or credit information in public comments.

Express Insider, Express Cash, and Gift-Card Complaints

Express Insider is the retailer’s loyalty and rewards program.

Rewards, Express Cash, promotional credits, birthday offers, qualification requirements, and expiration dates may change.

For a missing reward or account problem, retain:

  • The purchase receipt or online order
  • The email address and phone number associated with the account
  • The promotion or offer
  • A screenshot of the account balance
  • The date the reward was expected

Gift-card complaints may involve activation, balance, redemption, loss, or a card purchased from another retailer.

Keep the gift card and activation receipt. Do not publish the gift-card number or PIN.

Express may be unable to replace a lost or stolen card without proof of purchase and sufficient identifying information.

Express Employee, HR, and Applicant Questions

Express does not prominently publish one universal public Human Resources, payroll, benefits, or employee-relations phone number.

The Customer Service and credit-card numbers should not be relabeled as Express Human Resources.

Applicants should use the Express and Bonobos careers portal.

PHOENIX publishes 1-800-964-9793 and As****************@*****ss.com for applicants who need a disability-related accommodation during the application process.

Current associates should use authorized internal management, Associate Relations, payroll, benefits, or Human Resources channels.

Do not publish Social Security numbers, associate IDs, payroll records, work schedules, medical information, disciplinary documents, applicant records, or private workplace communications in a public review.

Express Reviews and Complaints

One review is currently visible on this CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com page.

The commenter describes visiting an Express Outlet in Harahan, Louisiana while holding a baby and pushing a stroller.

The commenter reports feeling watched by several employees and says the interaction made them feel as though they were suspected of shoplifting. The commenter left the selected clothing on a table and departed without making the planned purchase.

This is an individual commenter’s account and perception. It does not establish employee intent, discrimination, or a company-wide practice.

When leaving an Express corporate-office review below, identify whether the experience involved:

  • An online order
  • A retail or outlet store
  • A return or refund
  • Shipping or delivery
  • Express Insider or Express Cash
  • A gift card
  • The Express Credit Card
  • Employment or recruiting
  • Corporate correspondence

Helpful reviews include the store city and state or online-order type, approximate date, official support route used, response time, and whether the matter was resolved.

Fake Express Website and Support Warning

Use Express.com, the official store locator, the Express careers site, or the official Comenity card portal before providing personal or payment information.

Be cautious with:

  • Fake Express clearance websites
  • Unusually large discounts promoted through unknown social-media pages
  • Gift-card payment demands
  • Refund offers requiring an upfront fee
  • Messages requesting passwords or one-time security codes
  • Fake delivery notifications
  • Job offers requiring equipment or processing payments

Express or Comenity support should not require cryptocurrency, gift-card payments, wire transfers, or remote access to a personal device to investigate an ordinary retail complaint.

Express Harahan LA Disappointing Experience

March 30, 2025

Express, Shopping Experience. I had an encounter with the employees at Express Outlet store in Harahan, LA around 2:30 pm 3/28/25. There were several employees, and I was holding a baby, pushing a stroller, and picking out clothes. The employees all were easy around me as if they were trying to accuse me of shoplifting, which I have never ever done. They instead choose to try to get if I would shop lift instead of asking me can I put some things in the fitting room or can I help you look for something. Not one asked they just was trying ease looking at me, in which I caught them making me feel uncomfortable shopping. Yes, I threw the clothes on the table that I was planning on purchasing because I hate to feel that way shopping no matter what you look like to them. I got angry and never want to shop in stores again, very awful. On top of that I was wearing an outfit I purchase from express months ago while I was shopping.
