Yahoo trying to make its users pay for its service!

I tried to access my Yahoo email account only to receive a message asking “Is it really you?” and the only options were to 1. send a code to a recovery email or 2. cancel. When I reached out to customer support I was given a link to pay for help.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

I went back in thinking maybe my finger hit a different number in my password. Nope! Same message. So I screenshot it. Then, I went in and deliberately entered the wrong password and received a different message. Please see screenshots! The first one shows I obviously entered the correct password. The second one shows the incorrect password.

Yahoo, What happens to freedom of speech? You reject comments, and only let certain people on Yahoo say what they want. I have a right to my opinion. U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order that he said aims to restore freedom of speech and end censorship.

Yahoo, I never had an issue with Yahoo until the week of 2/1/25 up until today as I type this 2 /8/25. Why would a company prevent you from getting in your account because Yahoo had me to do a recovery option (which I did) and I used my son’s yahoo email and he used mine? How about both our emails prompt us to go to each other’s email for the code? This all Yahoo fault and the big finale is Yahoo has a $12.99 charge of mine pending and swear they don’t buy I have the company and a screen shot to prove it.

Yahoo, I have my Yahoo account since college. Two weeks ago I uninstall it from my phone. I tried to sign in to my laptop and it was not successful because of Recovery Email which I do not use anymore. I can’t sign in because of that. I called customer service but they only help users from United states not outside US like Canada. This is unfair. Please give more options to sign in not only relying on alternative email or mobile phone. I don’t have access to those old email and numbers because I work overseas. I need my email back . Please have mercy Yahoo. You make our lives complicated. Please get rid of the recovery. Thank you.

Yahoo, Unable to access email. I cannot access my Yahoo email account because I don’t have recovery verification information. I no longer have a cell phone or access to the defunct email listed. I’ve spent 2 weeks following Help links in an attempt to solve the problem. Everything led back to requiring a cell phone in order to get a text verification #. I also called the paid premium people who had me send them an image of my driver’s license, but they were not able to help at all. When I asked to speak to someone at a higher level, I was told that I could talk to 100 employees and get no results. I am requesting that all these recovery mandates be removed from my account. I never had any issues with being locked out of my account until Yahoo forced these recovery methods on us. I did not request them or agree to use them, but now they’ve purposely locked me out for no good reason.
