Yahoo trying to make its users pay for its service!

I tried to access my Yahoo email account only to receive a message asking “Is it really you?” and the only options were to 1. send a code to a recovery email or 2. cancel. When I reached out to customer support I was given a link to pay for help.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

I went back in thinking maybe my finger hit a different number in my password. Nope! Same message. So I screenshot it. Then, I went in and deliberately entered the wrong password and received a different message. Please see screenshots! The first one shows I obviously entered the correct password. The second one shows the incorrect password.

Yahoo, Unable to access email. I cannot access my Yahoo email account because I don’t have recovery verification information. I no longer have a cell phone or access to the defunct email listed. I’ve spent 2 weeks following Help links in an attempt to solve the problem. Everything led back to requiring a cell phone in order to get a text verification #. I also called the paid premium people who had me send them an image of my driver’s license, but they were not able to help at all. When I asked to speak to someone at a higher level, I was told that I could talk to 100 employees and get no results. I am requesting that all these recovery mandates be removed from my account. I never had any issues with being locked out of my account until Yahoo forced these recovery methods on us. I did not request them or agree to use them, but now they’ve purposely locked me out for no good reason.

Yahoo, Useless for financial research. If you use Yahoo finance for researching or tracking stocks you should start looking elsewhere. The powers that be destroyed yahoo finance with the new update that tells me what they think I should have, not what I Need to do my research.

Yahoo, Recently, Yahoo Finance announced that the classic stock display would no longer be available, forcing users to switch to the new version. Unfortunately, the new version has significant performance issues, making it nearly unusable. Complaints include glitches, slow response times, excessive resource usage, and an inability to run other programs simultaneously. These problems were not present in the classic version, which users could previously revert to, but this option is no longer available. Customer service’s response to user feedback has been dismissive, often asking users to “be patient and understanding” while the issues are addressed. This response has left many frustrated, especially given the hundreds of complaints on the Yahoo feedback site. For users who have relied on Yahoo Finance for years, these issues are disruptive and make the platform unreliable. A practical solution would be to allow access to the classic version until the new one is fully functional. Without this option, users are left with a broken platform, and Yahoo risks losing its loyal user base. I hope this feedback reaches someone who can address these concerns and reinstate the classic version temporarily.
