Gold's Gym Disappointing Customer Service

Gold’s Gym, Unruly members and uncaring owners. 70-year-old retired law enforcement and disabled Veteran I was verbally assaulted. The owner and staff did nothing. Never going back.

Gold's Gym Obscene Music

September 11, 2024

Gold’s Gym, I had just arrived and the song playing used the mother f***** swear multiple times. I did go to the counter and asked them to change the song. The man turned it down for a bit and eventually changed it over.

Non-stop Extremely Loud Music And Manager Refuses To Turn It Down For Reasonable Accomodation For Disability For Military Disability! Gold’s Gym at Fairfax Station VA. The music playing is at a level above OSHA standards. I’ve asked for the manager, Danielle Tomasello, Area Manager, to please turn it down. I explained I have a hearing disability from 31yrs of military service and the law requires reasonable accommodations. Music isn’t in her office. Others have complained as well. She told me it is GOLD’S GYM BRAND and go get noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs–it is the thing that motivates people to work out. Well that is Bullcrap. Some like quiet to think, others to talk. She is also the same tone-deaf manager who took CNN, FOX, and MSNBC off the TV because she did not want people talking politics. Is customer service job one? HELL NO. Is a friendly, safe, and accommodating environment for adults and the kids to visit? HELL NO. Many of my older friends spent $200 to get noise cancelling equipment for their workouts. So Dannielle can guard the “Gold’s brand”. Completely dismissive to the older folks and military retirees whose ears hurt with the noise. Oh, I have never met her in person as she does not show up at the gym until 10:00 and leaves at 4:00–according to the front desk folks, who have been told not to adjust the volume. Time to contact the government and file a complaint for being denied reasonable accommodations, with the proof of the data from a phone app that measures the decibels. I have been a member for many years. Too bad your brand takes priority over peoples’ HEALTH–what a gym is supposed to improve. Perhaps the Federal and state/county health departments will help. p.s. The selection of music does not appeal to many of the gym members, either, so it’s unclear exactly what the Golds Gym brand is. Picture is the cause of hearing loss–SERVING MY COUNTRY FOR OVER 30 YEARS

Disrespectful, unprofessional unbridled emotional threatening manager

November 23, 2023

I am a member of Golds Gym, Rancho Cucamonga. This a.m. at approx. 08:00 I went to use the restroom and there was stuff all over the floor and toilets. It was crusty indicating it had not been cleaned. The floors were filthy and grimy and the mirrors, sinks and urinals were filthy. This is a daily routine occurrence. At approx 8:15 I asked an employee who the manager was. They pointed me to Frank in the front corner desk, looking on his cell phone. I approached Frank and told him that I wanted to direct his attention to the filthy mens room. As I only begun explaining what needed to be cleaned up, he raised his phone and began texting.
