The Cheesecake Factory Complaints, Orders and Guest Services

For a restaurant complaint, begin with the manager while the restaurant can still identify the order, table, employees, and circumstances involved. Explain what happened and state the resolution you are requesting, such as a corrected order, billing review, refund review, or management follow-up.

For an unresolved complaint:

  1. Identify the restaurant city and state, visit or order date, approximate time, and order type.
  2. Describe the food, service, seating, cleanliness, delivery, billing, reservation, or accessibility issue clearly.
  3. Keep the receipt, confirmation, relevant photographs, and records of earlier conversations.
  4. Submit the official Contact Us form or call Guest Services through 1-818-871-3000, extension 3281.
  5. Ask for a reference number when available and retain records of any promised refund, replacement, credit, or follow-up.
Food allergies and dietary requests: Tell the server and restaurant manager about an allergy or dietary restriction before ordering. If an order appears incorrect, stop eating it when appropriate and notify the restaurant promptly. For a serious or rapidly developing medical emergency, seek emergency assistance rather than waiting for a restaurant or corporate response.

For an order placed through DoorDash or another third-party service, review the confirmation to determine which company processed the payment. The restaurant generally handles food-preparation problems, while the delivery platform may control the driver, fees, cancellation, and refund process.

Cheesecake Factory Disappointing Experiences

May 26, 2025

Cheesecake Factory, Disappointed by Poor Service and Declining Standards. Dear Corporate Office, I’ve been a loyal patron of The Cheesecake Factory for many years, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions with friends and family. I’ve also purchased gift cards as gifts, always confident that the recipients would enjoy a great dining experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit has made me seriously question whether I’ll return. I ordered the Chicken Madeira and specifically requested no cheese due to a lactose intolerance. Despite this clear instruction, the dish arrived with visible remnants of cheese on the plate. Even more concerning, the chicken fillet appeared torn and mishandled, as if the dish had been served to someone else before making its way to me. Parts of the plate were already missing, further suggesting it was not freshly plated. I patiently raised my hand for assistance, and when the server finally arrived, they casually dismissed my concerns and treated the torn chicken as completely normal. There was no sense of urgency, empathy, or accountability. What made the experience even worse was the behavior of the manager. Instead of offering an apology or any form of hospitality, she rudely removed the entire plate, including the mashed potatoes I could have eaten while waiting for a corrected order. Her demeanor was indifferent and unprofessional. To add insult to injury, I witnessed the same server make a mistake at the next table, but in that case, the error was handled with courtesy and prompt service—a very different experience from what I received. This is not an isolated incident—this is the third disappointing experience I’ve had recently. It’s incredibly disheartening to see the quality of service deteriorate so significantly at a place I once held in high regard. I hope this feedback encourages your team to reflect on how guests are treated, especially those with dietary restrictions. Basic courtesy and attention to detail should be the standard, not the exception. Sincerely, (Below you will find a exact picture of how the chicken was served! The second picture with the mashed potatoes is how it should have been served!)

Cheesecake Factory Indianapolis IN Disappointing Visit

May 20, 2025

Cheesecake Factory, Such a disappointing visit. We reached out to the GM at our local Cheescake Factory Restaurant to discuss our visit over a week ago without a reply at all. This is possibly why our visit this time was so unacceptable and disappointing. When the top management will not take the time to reach out might be the reason the restaurant itself is providing the level of service it is providing. Here is the email sent on May 14th @ 3:54pm to 0037gm@thecheesecakefactory.com. Melissa, My husband and I asked for your card today after our meal and purchase of desserts on the way out at the to go area. We first would like to take a moment to let you know that Lucas who was working your to go counter was warm friendly and oh so helpful with our questions regarding us signing up for your loyalty program on this visit. He was a delight to engage with. Unfortunately, we were not treated so well by our server for our sit down lunch today. Our server Danine was very unhelpful and judgmental we feel. We would be happy to go over in detail of our experience if you would like to reach out for a discussion. Thank you kindly.

Cheesecake Factory Request Different Music Please

May 15, 2025

Cheesecake Factory, The music in the restaurants! We love going there and food and the service is always the best! But, we hate the music playing, we worked in the music business for years and the music sounds like demos rather than actual recorded songs! Other people we know say the same thing about the music! We call most of it Baby Doll female singing. We were there yesterday and even our waitress, said, “this song is awful”! With the decor it should be more instrumental music with a lot of percussion!

Cheesecake Factory Disappointing Mother’s Day Experience in Cherry Hill, NJ

May 12, 2025

Cheesecake Factory, I had a very disappointing experience at the Cherry Hill Cheesecake Factory on Mother’s Day. After being told the wait time would be about 1 hour and 45 minutes, my party waited patiently. During this time, a group of five arrived and were seated within approximately 10 minutes. I noticed that one of them seemed familiar with a staff member, as they were seen chatting near the dessert pickup area. When I asked the host about the situation, I was brushed off without a clear explanation. I then asked to speak with the manager, who told me the guests were “family” and that “family comes first.” I was surprised by this response, especially on a busy holiday when so many families were waiting their turn. The interaction made me feel that we were not treated fairly, and it raised concerns about how seating decisions are made. This kind of preferential treatment, particularly in such a public setting, is disappointing and not what I expect from a well-known restaurant chain.

Cheesecake Factory Durham NC Disappointing Experience

April 25, 2025

Cheesecake Factory, A Little Disappointed With One Of My Favorite Places To Visit. First I Want To Let You Know That The Cheesecake Factory Has Been One Of My Favorite Places To Enjoy A Meal With My Family And Friends And I Have Visited The One In Durham, Nc Three (3) Times In The Past Week.

But I Can See The Hospitality And Service Going Down Hill And I Don’t Want To See That. Yesterday I Ordered Curb Side. After Waiting 10 Minutes, I Called And Kindly Let The Young Lady That I Was Waiting And She Asked Me The Usual Questions. But Then She Spoke To Me In A Condescending Manner And That I Should Have Called Because The System Has A Glitch. It Was Unfair That She Talked To Me That Way And I Again Kindly Let Her Know That I Was Only Following The Directions Sent To My Phone And I Responded To When I Was On The Way And When I Got There And I Did Not Know About The Glitch. I Still Had To Wait About 10 More Minutes. Unfortunately I Order And Paid For Extra Avocado Which I Didn’t Get Nor Any The Dressing That Comes With The Chopped Salad. On April 12th, I Was There With A Group Of Friends, And I Was Told By One Of My Friends That We Had Been There 30 Minutes And The Group Agreed That We Should At Least Have Been Given Some Bread. When We Talked To One Of The Front Desk Hostess, It Was Corrected Kindly And Within A Reasonable Time. My Concern Is That The Service Need Some Attention, Because This Is Where I Like To Visit And Invite My Family And Friends. I Paid Over $80.00 For Two Salads And Two Cakes Which I Could Not Enjoy.
