  • The Curves facility in Conifer, Colorado does not have a working phone number but is open for business. When you try to call it says it's disconnected. Also, when the owner is gone no one is there to supervise but the facility is open. I was there by myself with another person with no supervision. This is unsafe practice. What if someone had a heart attack or hurt themselves? No one was there!

  • I am writing to inform Curves of something I saw which made me very angry. A women came into the club the other day and checked in and then left without working out. Other members also saw this and someone mentioned that Denise Ritterman is aware and is allowing it. Now, to me that is so wrong on so many levels. This needs to be stopped now. I need to have someone look into this.

  • I am filing a complaint for the Rogers, MN curves club. I witnessed something that I just can't keep to myself. I noticed a lady come in to the club and check in then left without working out. I was told that the owner Denise Ritterman is aware and allowing it. Come on, really? That is so wrong and it needs to stop now. And FYI, this is the worst website I've seen in a long time.

  • I currently work for Curves, this is the 2nd time, here recently the owner took off to have a baby,I have been here seen March of 2016, the owner hired a part time employee, trained her for 2 weeks then took leave. the new employee phoned me for help, over a 2 week time I had put in some extra time, when payroll came I was told since it was not approved that I had to wait till the pay period to get that money. and I was told that this was worded from her Accountant. this is not right, now she has gone behind my back and offered the new girl my shift and cut my hours back, well the new girl quit, feeling that the actions of this Franchise Owner is out of line. I am not one to up and Quit because I do enjoy my job and Love the Ladies here. the owner is 26 years old and has A lot to learn on how to respect her employees. I am torn what I should do. I have talked to the owner and she fills she has done nothing wrong.

    • continued from ,Oct 28,2016,
That I had to wait for NEXT pay period for the overtime, which really not that much, I work 37 and a half hours a week and considered part time, and did not even talk to me about cutting my hours.

    • Continued on my employment at the Branson West Curves. Since the owner has taken off to have her baby, 3 weeks before the baby is due. Myself calling her hey are you coming back or what's going on. Then she tells me she is taking off some time to have her baby. This the 2nd week of Sept. Continually she has not 1 time called to check on things. I'm thinking that she automatically feels everything is taken care of. As a business owner in the past, I do believe a owner should call to check on her business and employees. Numerous other situations continue. Very frustrated. Now I am the only employee left. While she is off.

  • Rosamond Ca curves! I have been a member for awhile now. I over heard the owner Mary treating one of her employees very disrespectfully….putting her down for talking to another member on the floor! The member was having a bad day and needed to vent and was very upset that the employee got in trouble for it. So today when I went in at my regular time I found out that she let 2 of her employees go over this issue! First off those 2 employees were amazing workers, they got most of the members working harder and made us feel better about our goals. I cant believe that corporate has allowed Mary Green to do this to so many of her employees!

  • I am very disappointed that our Curves here in Gardiner, Maine has chosen to close between the hours of 1:00PM and 3:00PM. Some of us like to go when it is not so busy. It seems odd to close in the middle of the afternoon. I have not been able to go this week because of the time change and I don't know if I will renew my membership when it comes due. It is not very convenient for me any longer.

  • I live in Michigan, been going to Curves for 7 years, but the women that is the owner, Tracy has closed Garfield and 21 mile again, it is sad that she keeps doing this to her members, I paid monthly so I am not out any money but I know of two ladies that paid for the year just last week, I feel sorry for them. I love curves it is my stress relief, helping my Blood Pressure, diabetes etc. Now I will have to find another club in my area, I went to the 22 mile and Gratiot club for at least 5 years, then when she closed that one years back, I started at Jefferson which is a little to far, then transferred over to Garfield and 21 mile, went there this morning and there is a sign on the door that it is closed, ugh take her membership away from her, why does she keep doing this to her members…

    • I belonged to the same club, I had monthly dues taken from my account after she posted the sign on the door about closing. and Im sending Tracy a letter canceling my membership, and demanding that she return the April dues and if May dues are deducted from my account I will seek legal council. Tracy also closed the Hayes location

  • I was a member of Curves in Ojai CA until it closed in August. I am going to the only curves in the area to see about joining. The one on Thompson Blvd in Ventura Ca. I feel I should not have to pay the sign up fee again. I had no control over the curves closing and the company that went in there using the same machines we used does not have the same hours as Curves. They are only open 8AM to 6PM. I work in Ventura. By the time I get off and get to Ojai this place is closed. Debbie Adams debbiemadams1@yahoo.com

  • I belong to a Curves in Blairsville Ga. They are going to be closed from Nov. 24th until Dec. 1st for Thanksgiving. I will miss 4 work-outs. They were closed on Halloween also. Thanksgiving I understand. Even the day after but not all week. The way I look at it they are going to owe me money. Can corporate please give these guys some direction on closing days?

  • I have been a member of Curves for over 12 years. To my disapointment, many of the clubs that I have belonged to have had to close. I was so happy to find Curves of Martha Lake in Lynnwood Washington still operating with almost 400 members. Recently the owner gave all of the members a letter asking us to give her $10.00 (cash) more a month with no explanation as to where the extra cash was going. All we knew was that if we didnt help her out the club would be closing. Many of the members are giving her this money. Not knowing where this money is being spent, I however have choosen not to participate in this. I feel this is unethical. Now she is asking all the Silver Sneakers and Wellness members who get Curves benefits free through their insurance plans, to give her cash money. I have talked to several members about this. Many of them feel the same as I do. A few of them who have choosen not to give cash money to her, have told me that the owner has a gambling problem. THIS IS NOT ETHICAL. Could be why Curves of Martha Lake failing.

  • Curves, Helotes, TX, notoriously late, not opening up at the 7:00 am advertised time. At least 5 ladies arrive at 7:00 am daily. On these unfortunate days when no employee shows up on time, the ladies leave at 7:15 a.m. This is no way to run a business nor to keep your customers happy.

  • Curves in Torrey Hills area San Diego, CA needs to learn what contract terms are. I signed the contract for 12 months with the first month membership paid at that time. A 12 month contract means 12 monthly. Cheryle is trying to tell me I owe one more payment to complete my contract terms. May's payment will make 13 payments. I paid May, June, July, August, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec 2013 and Jan, Feb, March, and April 2014. That is 12 payments right there. I have disputed this with my bank. I gave a 30 written notice and did authorize her to take the additional overage of 15 days off my CC but she took the whole month instead. Please people watch the terms. My job is working with contracts. That first payment taken at the time of signing ends that contract a month before since you are paid up until that date. You sign a 12 month contract on 2/1/14 they take the first payment there then your last payment will be 1/1/15 to complete the terms.

  • I don't understand just waiting a few minutes past 1:00 pm to allow the customer to complete her curve smart workout. The owner said, "We have to leave exactly at 1:00pm, so you cannot workout on the curve smart, but just the floor equip" even though they have allowed you in the past to complete your workout because they close from 1:00pm until 3:00pm for lunch and to get paper work completed into the computer. Well, I couldn't get in the door fast enough to put my card in, before she could tell Koolaid this! And then the owner left- just took off and left the employee and I there. Well I did't leave until after 1:00pm the employee was still there. I could have worked out on curve smart and still leave the same time, a little after 1:00 pm, but this to shall pass…And God is still on the throne.

  • I attend the Curves in Miami Lakes, Fl. It was recently closed for a day due to "Plumbing Problems" and nobody called us to inform us that the gym was going to be closed. We later found out it was closed for non payment of the electricity bill. The owner will literally spend the whole time that you are there to work out bad mouthing her instructor (which does a great job.) The owner is so unprofessional to be discussing her dislikes of her employees as well as not having any money to keep the gym open. I go there to work out and get away from my own problems to have to hear about someone else's. She changes the workout routines depending on what mood she is in. The rest of the woman and I have stopped going twice a week when we know that she is there. She is also constantly telling us that she is going to close the place down because "WE" don't bring our friends to join. With that attitude, I am giving my letter of resignation next week.

  • oh yes and the curves that is closing is in Slatington, PA. which is the only place that is close for everyone to work and all because the franchise wants to put Ann Jillion in well then they should put the equipment in if that what they want and not expect the owners to pay for it ,, that is why she can't keep it going for that reason

  • well I'm very angry at this point the owner at curves.over the Christmas holidays decides to post she is closing curves cause of not being able to afford it and the fianices and then a couple weeks after she took all the signs down telling me everything was going good and today when i went down it was closed again due to school closings and weather . and once again the sign was posted again on the front door effected date the 30th of January I like to no what is going on and the owner ever since she came in to this I don't think she new what the hell she was doing from the beginning and never had the money to run it ,,, so that is why I am not happy and frustrated

    • Curves is an amazing place for women to workout. They not only touch the physical but also the emotional and spiritual. I am so grateful for Curves!

  • I gave curve a thank you card to cancel my membership because I have no more income. My disability had exhausted. Sharon the owner did not respond so I went in and left her my number again for her to call. When she called she said she had to speak with her boss because I had a 12 months contract, and she will get back with me that following Monday. She never did until today because I put a stop payment on the $44.00 fee in Sept. 2or3weeks before the due date. Now she claims it went to collection, which I don't think it's fair. El Cerrito CA
