  • Store location, city, and state
  • Date and approximate time of visit or online order
  • Receipt, order number, ValuCard number, or phone number used at checkout
  • Product name, UPC, product size, sell-by date, or photos if the issue involves food quality

  • A short explanation of what happened and what resolution you are requesting

How to Escalate a Food City Complaint

Start with the local Food City store if the issue involves checkout service, card readers, pricing, product availability, a department such as pharmacy, meat, seafood, bakery, deli, produce, or a specific employee interaction. Ask for the store manager and keep your receipt, product details, and date of visit.

If the local store does not resolve the issue, contact Food City Customer Service at 1-276-623-5100 or submit the official contact form. Be specific about the store number or location, the department involved, the dates, and the resolution you are requesting.

If your complaint involves a food safety issue, product recall, possible contamination, spoiled food, allergen concern, or mislabeled product, keep the package and receipt when safe to do so. You may also need to contact your local health department, the FDA, the USDA, or another appropriate food safety agency depending on the product and concern.

Common Reasons Customers Contact Food City Corporate Office

  • Looking for the Food City corporate phone number
  • Complaints about a local Food City store
  • ValuCard, Fuel Bucks, coupons, app, or digital account problems
  • Pharmacy service, prescription refill, or pharmacy staff concerns
  • Card reader, checkout, cashier, staffing, or bagging complaints
  • Product availability, local item requests, or discontinued item concerns

ValuCard, Fuel Bucks, Pharmacy, and Store Complaint Guidance

For ValuCard or Fuel Bucks issues, have the ValuCard number, phone number tied to the account, store location, receipt, and the date the points should have been earned or redeemed. If there are duplicate names, phone numbers, or addresses in the account, ask Food City customer service to review the account records.

For pharmacy issues, contact the specific Food City pharmacy first. Pharmacy records, refill status, prescription transfers, medication availability, and immunization records are usually handled at the pharmacy location. Do not post private prescription details, birth dates, full names, or medical information in public comments.

For local store complaints, include the department involved. A pharmacy complaint, card-reader issue, checkout problem, meat department compliment, bakery order issue, or product request may be routed differently than a general store experience complaint.

Product Recalls and Food Safety Guidance

Food City maintains a product recall page for products that may have been sold in its stores. If you believe you purchased a recalled product, review the recall notice, stop using the item when instructed, keep the packaging if safe, and contact the store or Food City customer service for next steps.

For serious food safety concerns, illness, foreign objects, allergens, spoiled food, temperature problems, or mislabeled products, document the product name, UPC, lot code, sell-by date, store location, and purchase date. Contact the store, Food City customer service, and the appropriate health or food safety authority when needed.

Scam, Fake Coupon, and Fake Support Number Warning

Be careful with fake Food City coupons, text-message offers, social media giveaways, delivery refund scams, fake gift card offers, and unofficial support numbers. Use the official Food City website, app, store locator, and contact page whenever possible. Do not provide passwords, verification codes, full payment card numbers, gift card numbers, or ValuCard account details to someone who contacts you unexpectedly claiming to represent Food City.

Food City Sevierville TN Excellent Pharmacy

April 27, 2025

Food City, Complements to pharmacy staff. I have been quite pleased with the service provided by the Pharmacy on Newport Hwy, Sevierville, Tennessee. I take four medicines in pill form that are ridiculously small. This factor may necessitate my changing pharmacies. Please pass along my complement to pharmacy mail office.

Food City Loudon TN Concerns

March 20, 2025

Food City, Loudon, TN needs more baggers, other. I spend a lot of money at Food City in Loudon, TN. And I think that the store needs to hire more baggers. I often have to bag my own groceries. If not, many times when I visit the checker has to check out and bag. Other times there is only one or two checkout lanes available. I am really tired of this. This is poor customer service. It’s all about saving money for Food City. But on the positive side, I’ve earned several gas visits which saves me 15 cents off a gallon. I really like that! And they do have some bargains too.

Food City Loudon TN Request

November 8, 2024

Food City, Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt. Please consider bringing back Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt in the tubs in our Loudon, TN store. They have the Zero Sugar Chobani & it tastes awful. I have to drive all the way up to Lenoir City or Knoxville to get the tub of yogurt that I prefer. But Food City in Loudon TN is just 2 miles from me. So much more convenient to run in there. Thank you for your kind consideration.
