  • I stayed at the quality inn in Jackson Michigan this weekend and it was not very good there were stains on the sheets the bathroom look like a tornado broken parts off the tile and everything I really did not enjoy myself I'd like to see something done about this I just retired from the military and we stayed at your quality inn in Jackson Michigan and they do not file procedures for breakfast we didn't get breakfast until 7:00 and the sign says 6:00 a.m. I just hope somebody notify me because I am not a very happy camper

  • Quality Inn
    11717 Campbell Lakes Dr
    Knoxville, TN
    37934

This place should be closed down – it's the pits!!

When I came in the lobby to book a room, a gentleman came in a demanded a refund. I overheard the toilet was falling off it's foundation, the room had holes in the wall, tub was dirty, wallpaper coming off the walls. Humm…shoulda been my clue. I still booked, went up to the room. UGH, same thing. Went down and told the clerk UNACCEPTABLE!! Gave me another room to see – SAME THING! Cancelled, left and went across the street to a Clarion – nice place.

This Q Inn should be closed or TOTALLY REDONE. I think we're done with this chain as the last one we stayed at in Dalton, GA was iffy too!!

  • Very dirty room! Roaches on the bed, sticky substance on chairs & bathroom door! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! I want a refund from my stay! I have a picture of one dead roach we killed!

  • Hi there i stayed at your hotel 7333 Husker Cir. Lincoln NE and Eric was very alert to when i came down to the desk and helped out the best way possible even when it was busy

  • I am currently staying at a Quality Inn & Suite and wish to file a complaint. How can I get this accomplish?

  • Was totally disappointed in Quality Inn in Wausau Wisc. Been there 3 weeks .each week got worst. Checked in Monday Nite 3/16 was given a room with no TV, when i complained the worthless girl at front desk at 5:30pm told me didnt know which rooms had access w/TV and w/o.. She would not go check a couple available rooms . I loaded up in morning .. stopped by front desk said if i dont get a room w/tv I will go to Hamilton.that morning 3/17 7am a gentleman at front desk stated he will look into and of course no call.. Sad.. last time I use Quality Inn

  • As a veteran Quality Inn is disrespectful to me and any Veteran for that stupid comment. Without veterans you are nothing.

  • After seeing a posting, with pictures, of how one of your hotels said it was no big deal that a shredded American flag was being flown, I will be certain to make sure that neither I or any of my family or friends stays at a quality inn! It DOES MATTER to most Americans!

  • Dear Quality Inn,
I am writing to you to make you aware of the unclean, and unhealthy conditions of Quality Inn that my family and I stayed in at 1350 East 83rd Avenue Merriville, IN 46410 on November 16, 2019. As a customer that has stayed at the Quality Inn many times before I expected the quality of service and the cleanliness of the rooms to be better.
I booked two rooms at the Quality Inn and woke up the morning of November 17, 2019 with large roaches in our bed, and in our suitcases. It was clear that there was an infestation in both rooms. I immediately called the front desk and made them aware of the problem. I requested to speak to the manager but was told that no manager nor supervisor was on duty. The hotel did not offer to send someone to come to the rooms or address the problem.
I took several pictures as my family shook out our clothes and bags as roaches crawled over our personal belongings. We threw several items away including food that we had in the refrigerator for later. The lack of response made my family and I me leave the Quality Inn immediately without showering or preparing for the day. We were in search of a local laundry mat to wash our clothes and another hotel to get dressed for the day as we continued our vacation.
As a paying customer that booked your hotel through Priceline, I would like to be refunded for the two rooms there were booked on November 16, 2019. As an Army Veteran I expect the quality of service to match the name of the hotel as it has in the past.

  • After finding I was double billed for a room I tried to call Customer Service. I called in the evening the first time and was on hold for 15 minutes. Tried the next day and the same thing. Called corporate direct and again no answer. Called back and the operator made an excuse. When I explained what happened she hung up. With customer service like this I will take my personal and company business elsewhere. Still fighting for the refund…

  • I just remembered after a a bad experience in New Mexico that I was at the same exact quality inn they have in Houston so I'm not gonna lie I'm surprised by how nice Clovis was! Normally you have crack head's up and down the stairs but other than the ride staff members who hate everything and everyone I don't feel bad now. I have been through worse in other cities at the same exact thing "quality inn .
It's way better than being homeless and under a bridge!

  • my POOR sister made the HORRIBLE MISTAKE of staying here in October and November it was OUTRAGEOUS what they charged her I paid for her 2 nights and it was 113.88 a night which it CRAZY but I paid it for her then this is January 22 and GUESS what SURPRISE they charge me again I called them and raised HELL with them this Hotel used to be one of the nicest hotels in Owensboro it isn't now I actually went to see her and its NASTY the pool area is full of nothing but coke cans and other garbage the manager is EXTREMELY RUDE as well as the front desk people the only friendly person I met was the poor maid who was working her butt off and she still managed to smile andb tell my sister if she needs anything just let her know. And on top of all of this the LOW LIFE PEOPLE charge my debit card again for 113.68 what makes me MAD is my sister stayed a long time with these people and you would think they would give her a break not these people also while she stayed here she witnessed several drug deals and fights the police were there 4 times in October and 2 in November..PLEASE DONT STAY HERE

  • I made a reservation at Quality Inn, 1047 Southgate Pky, Cambridge, Ohio, for June 28, 2018. After 10 hours at the airport, my flight was cancelled. I managed to get a room in the Boston area for the night. I messaged a friend in Cambridge to cancel my reservation. When I received my bill I noticed I was charged. I've called the hotel manager and the Executive Director, Linda Russel, but never received a call or refund. I will NEVER stay at a Quality Inn!

  • NO HEAT! It took four complaints and they didn't do anything until the kids had fallen asleep so when we moved them they woke up for the rest of the night. They KNEW there was no heat in the hotel. They don't care about customers. Glad to be home.

Wasn't just ME either "Got to Denver about 6:30 am. Took about 3 hours via tow truck. Rig is at Kenworth dealer. Same issue as a few weeks ago. No word yet. Check in at hotel was awful. Corporate reservation. Checked in hours b4 we arrived (??) but wanted to argue about credit card # which we don't have. Statement says bill company. Called desk for cold room this evening told Mgr would come up after he arrived. Finally John got one of the heaters we saw in the hall. Warm now. Slept most of the day so not sleepy now."

  • So from what I have read so far on this particular website it doesnt seem like Corporate doesn't respond to a personal inspection complaint. But here I am so here it goes.
I called before I showed up to see if there was a deal on a sunday and if not what were the nightly costs. A very polite man answered with answers to my questions.
About 20 minutes late I show up and was kind of excited to see there was hardly (like no other customers) any cars in the lot. NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS MIND YOU! So I walk inside with my family and I patiently wait for front desk to return and reserve my room for the night. Well 10 minutes go by. Then another 10 minutes. So I decide to call FROM INSIDE YOUR HOTEL! The polite man answers the call. I let him know that I was waiting at the front desk for some time now. He quickly apologizes and comes to the front desk.
Once he shows up he once again apologizes and started that the owner of this particular hotel (Muncie IN) has with in the month stated that the new regulations for staff is to do laundry and cleaners will not! THAT IS THEIR JOB DESCRIPTION. If they can not meet what their job requires them to do once hired and well with in employment there; they should no longer work there! Find a employee that is willing to do their job and not get a free paycheck for letting someone else do their job. As I point this out the kind sir has deliberately made my stay as comfortable as possible. As to the best of his ability. The man is trying to keep your company alive with the appropriate concerns of the clients health and comfort. Multiple times he would say don't worry about bothering me, just let me know! That is who should be running that hotel. You could just tell he has been long hard hours to male that place look and feel up to par! He demeanor was humble and his appearance was very well kept but with a very tired look in his eye. Give this man the opportunity!
I am also going to point out that I gave taken pictures of my room and certain parts of it! The cleaning employees are not evening doing that part they are required to do after a client has signed out of the room.
The only positive thing to come out if this stay is the humble man and the kept lobby he was trying to maintain. He does a great job. He is only one man. He can run a hotel with 200+ rooms to himself. But I am willing to bet he could manage/boss one to a high passing inspection appointment.
So to end my one of many of the other complaints post on COH. I suggest getting involved and rethink ing who you let own one of your hotel so they don't put a burn on your reputation and company! Thank you!

P.s I will be posting the pictures!

  • I booked a room thru AARP/Expedia in Phoenix, unfortunately I cannot describe the room as my reservation was confirmed for a accessible room preferably on the 1st floor if possible. My room was to be on the 3rd floor and inaccessible, when I questioned the girl I was informed that I should have made my preferences at booking, when I produced my itinerary she became hostile, started screaming that I was out of there and that she was calling security to have me escorted off the premises, I had my room keys but never had a chance to experience the lovely rooms you all describe, lucky me, customer service is history right there with honest politicians and good lawyers

  • My family currently stayed at one of these hotels in St. Petersburg Fl 1400 34th st N to be exact. First of all the hotel staff is rude and by far not friendly. We like a lot of families travel with a pet we was not informed that they was not allowed nor are there any signs as to such. We was charged and extra 100 for having our pet with us. if we knew they was not allowed we would never have stayed there. And Then the room was awful. It had an awful smell to it the bas boards was coming away from the wall, There was absolutely no water pressure at all. This is one place my family will never stay again no matter what state we visit.

  • Over the weekend I stayed at a Quality Inn Spring Valley NY room 318. Based on what we paid it wasnt worth it. The place was dated and already had a musty smell. Carpet was super stained. In the morning while we were packing to go we saw an insect crawling on the pillow dreading it was a you know what….. well it was… A BED BUG! We freaked out and took a few pictures and ran. When I went to the desk and requested my money back the attendant didnt seem interested. He stepped to the back and a woman came out. Didnt say anything but looked at the pictures and uninterested returned to an office. I asked for a manager, and he state because it was Sunday she (Rosey) wasnt available. Shortly after, he made contact with her and said she would take care of it tomorrow. At the same moment I was already sending her a message. Within minutes she emailed me back. I needed to file paperwork. As time goes on I keep thinking. Why should I pay for an overnight stay with bed bugs. Then have to file paperwork. Thats not my problem. I went there to sleep not be infested by bed bugs and file paperwork. Delayed my plans and was already rushing in fear Ild bring some home. There is no excuse. All day long I was anxious thinking I might have been bit or have them in my bags. Just dont waist your time money and patience.

  • Stayed at Quality Suites in Hunt Valley, Maryland. What a dump! The hotel was located in an industrial area off the road and looked like a condo or apartment complex turned into a hotel. While the rooms were spacious with large living area, kitchens and baths, the whole place is in dire need of repairs and CLEANING! First off, there are people living in many of the units (welfare, no doubt) with their children. Bikes, BBQ grills, trash, toys, laying all over. Whole place is overrun with garbage thrown all over. RAT traps…there must be hundreds all over property. Feral Cats all over. Parking area poorly lit and overrun with trash. Property in general overrun with weeds and overgrown shrubs, grass. Landscaping ties are rotted out. Rooms are in sad shape. Bed bugs, cobwebs, dust, dirt, broken dead bolts. Breakfast was minimal. People that lived there would come down with their screaming kids for breakfast and yelling to hurry up, they need to get to school. That should NOT be!! There should be NO ONE living on premises regardless!!! Staff very rude and uncaring/unconcerned about problems, etc.. We don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

  • Absolutely disgusting! I booked two rooms for Labor day, and both rooms were awful. My room smelled like mold, the bathroom was not cleaned the tub had grim inside, and on the tile work. My friends room smelled like cigarettes even though we booked two non smoking rooms. Also their AC unit did not work. Went to the front receptionist desk and told the worker after which he switched us to two new rooms. In the new room it didnt smell at first, but as soon as we turned the AC unit on the moldy smell was back. And again the bathroom hadn't seen cleaning supplies in years, plus the room was super dusty. Went to my friends room it was a total mess. Their pillow cases on the back side were yellow, smelling of smoke. The fire alarm was hanging off the wall so it didnt work, and there was a huge bug chilling on the wall. Also their ceiling was starting collapse in the corner area. The bathroom was super dirty, and of course the room was a dust cloud. By this time we were betting on the amount of diseases we would get by staying, we grabbed our stuff and left. Went to the receptionist he gave us a full refund, and by his facial expressions you could tell this is a common thing.

  • I stayed in the worst Quality Inn ever in Santee,SC. The room smelled and was very dirty. The bathrooms were moldy and there were dead bugs around the walls. Does the staff clean the rooms at all!You guys need to put this location on your upgrade list because it is dirty. And I had a horrrible experience here. What kind of corporation lets guest who pay their hard worked money sleep in this filthy place! Shame on you.

  • Wish I had read this before staying in the Quality Inn on Newtown Pike, Lexington, Ky. The toilet was not even flushed, and the room, as well as the one we switched to, were both filthy and in need of repair. It is obvious from the above that corporate is not listening. We stayed on July 1, 2017 and had 3 rooms and they were all disgusting and dirty. The name "Quality" is certainly a misnomer and deceptive advertising. Sharing this so that others are forewarned.

  • Most horrible experience EVER in my lifetime at Quality Inn – Buda, TX. I inadvertently left an envelope after I checked out that had my plane tickets, tickets to an event that I was attending that day but more importantly all of my personal information. When I called to ask the front desk if they could check to get it out of the room – I was told by the front desk that I'd have to call back on Monday (this was Saturday) – when I explained the importance of it being retrieved, I was told that if it was so important then I must have been retarded to leave it there in the first place. After questioning his customer service skills for speaking to me in such a manner – he called me every vulgar word in the English language. He also called my 17 year old daughter an ** female dog…Then hung up again. When I asked to speak to the Manager – he just hung up on me repeatedly until he stopped answering the phone The next day I returned to the hotel and spoke to the Manager – who assured me that this person would be fired and that he would definitely refund my $128 – only after we left, and called him to follow up on the credit – the manager called me back and said he decided to only credit me 25% because it was "my word against his". (even though I had 5 witnesses). Eventually – after calling him several times, and threatening to file a harassment suit against him and his employee – he refunded the money back….Horrible experience to be called a "c" word by anyone! EVER

  • I just spent the last 3 nights in your Valparaiso Indiana Quality Inn (IN452) facility. My stay was prepaid and yet I stood in line for 1 hour as 2 incompetent desk people couldn't seem to get anyone properly checked in and then could not honor my earlier request for a room on the 1st floor. I had just driven 7 hours, and then had to stand in line. This facility is dirty and they couldn't even give me a requested wake up call.
I will never again use the Choice facilities based on this visit.

  • After a great vacation out west, we stopped at a Quality Inn in Winslow AZ on 7/13/17…it was the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. The toilet was filthy, the tub had some kind of semen in it and the floor was gross!!!

  • RUDE MANAGEMENT!!!! UNHELPFUL

I stayed at Quality Inn Midway in Chicago IL and left my car there (since they offer free park and fly). They failed to inform me that they were updating their blacktop and they got overspray all over my car. They did not attempt to call me, nor inform me not to park in that parking lot. When I called to speak with a manager in regards to the situation she was very rude. She would talk over me, and not let me explain my situation. She was raising her voice and calling me a liar. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, which is unfortunate since that was usually my go to hotel.

  • On 5/27/17, my daughter and I made reservations for 2 nights at the Quality Inn & Suites in Tucson Arizona (north Tucson). I booked the hotel online through Travelocity thinking this was a fairly nice hotel – not too, too expensive but not cheap either. When we arrived, we ended up upgrading our room to one with a balcony overlooking the pool. We paid $10 additional per night). We stayed Saturday and Sunday (5/28/17) and it was the most horrible hotel experience I've (we've) ever had. One staff person was fairly nice, the others were not that way. The room was filthy, by all standards, with someone else's left over Chinese food left in the small refrigerator. Who knows how long it had been there! We took photographs and have since sent them to "Jessica" per her request when I called to complain. Ever since, I have heard nothing and no call from her "manager" which was named Elizabeth. The worst part was when we checked in I was told that there would be a $50 incidental fee charged to my card and not refunded for 4 days after checkout. I was ok with that and told her so when asked. What I did not understand, and it appeared (from all the wild explanations) was why my bank account was charged over $500 over a 3-day period of time??? I had 5 different RANDOM charges HELD through my bank account (or which I was told that the money was just being "held" and would be released ….. HUH?? I was also told that the front desk did not enter any of these RANDOM amounts and that it was MY BANK! Huh??? Uh, no … why and how would MY bank even know what amounts to "hold"??? Listen … the total amount was $515.00!!!! The two nights ended up being $190 total …. and I want my money back! I will never stay at a Quality Inn & Suites ever again …. It was HORRIBLE, not to mention how unsafe and crowded with …. well, regulars??? or something of the like?? I am requesting a FULL REFUND.

  • stayed at your inn at front royal on 6/5/17.just to let you know my opinion is this motel needs closed down.dirty, furnature chipped and dated, mold in tub, bath room door chipped and rust on hinges.all in all just a dump.

  • the absolute worse. charged for queen room with full bed, lousy throw pillows for queen sized pillows, old & dirty. college park location near maryland university

  • On 5-17-17 thru 5-20-17 I stayed @ the Quality Inn Oceanfront {MD010}, 5400 Coastal Hwy.,Ocean City, Md. 21842 . It was my first time & My last time I will stay there. Since our room wasn't on the Ocean Front side, there wasn't an ELEVATOR on the Street Side rooms. We had to log Luggage & Cooler up 3 Flights of Stairs to get to RM. 328. When I ask for a room on the Lower Floors, I was told I would have to pay an additional $430.00 for my 4 night stay. Now this is on a Wednesday {Middle of the Week} Arrival Date. When we got to the room it was a Single Double Bed Only. It made me realize I will never Book a room with Less then a Queen Bed. We could see that the room at one time had 2 Double Beds. {Plenty of space for 2 Double Beds}. So 4 days of going up & down of 3 flights of steps for our stay. But also 4 extra trips to get our Door room key reprogram each day. {EACH DAY} The bed was the worst I have ever Slept in. My Wife had to keeping changing from Head Board to Feet Position to try to get a Comfortable night Sleep. The word Quality need to be Taken Off this Hotel. A Walkway or Crossover need to be added from the Elevator Oceanside to get to the Other side of the Hotel. Hope you make the Upgrade needed to accommodate the folks on the Backside of your Hotel. I'm Not one to complain, but this is one Experience I never want to do Again. Have a Good Day.

  • I've entered my own comments elsewhere, but I want to add that I believe every single negative comment about Quality Inn and Choice Hotel I read here. After my experience in April 2017, I'll believe anything negative. Truely horrible and never again will I stay there.

  • Due to the flooding in the St Louis area the Wife attempted to cancel our travel plans which included one of your hotels in Fetus, MO (Quality Inn)on 1May17 for a 6May17 single overnight. Unfortunately, we were told that we couldn't cancel our reservation because it was done with a non-cancel website despite the act of God with the flooding. Unfortunately, for You much like United Air Lines and their Customer Service it will take a loss of business before you wake up. The Wife and I might be one Customer, but we travel a lot and stay at your hotels, but not anymore after being told tough luck with the weather. Additionally, word of mouth can kill a business!

  • I write to protest the conditions during a recent stay, and the company’s unwillingness to make any adjustment to date.

On April 19 I stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites North/Polaris 7500 Vantage Drive, Columbus, Ohio. The experience was dreadful from check-in to checkout.

The room was tiny. This is perhaps understandable. I did take the cheapest rate in the hotel. But this was the smallest room I’ve ever booked, and I’m 64 years old and travel for business. I’ve seen a lot of hotels and motels, and a fair number of them have had one star. This was the smallest. The room smelled bad. The hallways smelled almost as bad. The refrigerator was wedged under the middle of desk area — I could not even get my laptop on the remaining edge of the working area. The desk chair was broken.

The front desk that evening tried to help, but there was only so much he could do — he could not budge the refrigerator, and if the entire hotel is musty, he can’t give me a different room. The problem is the property and price, not this particular staff member.

There is no elevator — okay, the building only has two floors, but this property was worse than a cheap chain like Motel 6, which would have been half the price.

The wireless connection was bad at night. I had no connection at all in the morning in the lobby. The day manager couldn’t get on, either. He said he could reach the internet with his phone, but he couldn’t get my laptop or my phone to work. I finally managed to get access through the tech number provided.

I did receive a routine email asking me about my stay. I completed it, stating that some compensation is certainly in order. I said that I would leave feedback on various social media, which I have begun to do, and that I would update it depending on the company’s response.

I later received a note from someone claiming to be the property’s general manager. He apologized but did nothing.

This is completely unacceptable. What does the company intend to do about this?

  • We stayed at the Quality Inn/Comfort Inn in Sterling CO. We will never stay three again! I should have known when the automatic entrance doors would not even operate properly we were walking into a dump. When we checked in the printer would not work properly so the sheet of paper was mostly black you couldn't read what they were asking you to sign and pay. The computer was also not working so they had to run upstairs to see if the room was empty and clean before they could check you in. The rooms look great at first glance but the beds are hard, lumpy and worn out, the bathroom had dirt in the corners. You could not regulate heat or cold, so you either roasted or froze. The hallway was freezing cold.
No one in our group slept and we had 2 high priced rooms because we were told "that was all that was left:. I don't think that was true because the parking lot was only half full at best and you did not see people anywhere. In the breakfast area three was not any drinking water, the milk was sour. Staff were polite IF you could find one. I think the front desk staff had to do everything including housekeeping on all the rooms. In the swimming pool area the pool water was freezing, the room itself was cold, and the jucuzzi was broken. We paid over $200 to stay one night and it was a waste of money. We were going to complain to staff when we checked out but we couldn't find anyone around. Very frustrating and unpleasant place to stay.

  • I will never EVER book another night at the Quality Inn – Billings. EVER. I booked on Booking.com and cancelled the reservation with over 24 hours notice. Little did I realize that the Quality Inn would take the money and keep it, but not only that charge more to the card than they were supposed to. I am filing a complaint with my card company. The hotel claimed I got a great deal and because of the non-refundable fee they could keep my money. I got home and found out that the motel OVERCHARGED MY CARD! I have all of the emails and will be filing a dispute with my card company. I told the motel management staff that I am sure they had ample time to fill the room and should give the money back. They REFUSED! Then when I got home I found out that they OVERCHARGED MY CARD! Will NEVER EVER stay at this motel EVER!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Goodlettsville, TN. The staff was very nice and polite, until I made a complaint. The room could use attention. We had ants, the phone was messed up, and the coffee maker didn't work. We overlooked that. What bothered us is the fact we had $140 come up missing after we came back from the pool. Our door was open when we returned and there were things misplaced. When I called to report this, the lady at the front said it wasn't their responsibility. I told her she either had employees that were stealing or the door keys can be used for other rooms. She had no response to that. All she she said was they haven't had anything turned into them from Housekeeping. I told her I would be contacting Corporate Offices to report what had happened.

  • Quality Inn – Hershey Road, Hershey, Pa Our wrestling team was at a state tournament in Hershey, PA – We made the reservation several weeks in advance for 3 nights with hopes our wrestlers would continue for the entire tournament. We did not qualify for the 3rd day by 10:30 AM on the 2nd day and advised the desk clerk around 11:00 AM we would be leaving and requested the receipts for the rooms and our refund for 1 night for the rooms. (We paid for the rooms in advance).
He refused to give us a receipt after 3 request and a refund – said it was a 3 night min. And advised they told us when we made the reservation – We were not advised.
Also, stated not there fault our kids lost several times to our coaches and parents.
This did not make people happy.
We will never recommend this hotel to anyone and advised others not to use it.
Also, when we tried calling for a receipt the manager was rude to the person requesting it and stated several times it was our fault we left and we did not win, and we would not receive a refund.
Luckily the person stayed on the phone with the manager until he emailed the receipts. Or we probably would not have gotten them.

I give this hotel a MINUS ZERO WITH NOT RECOMMENDATIONS OTHER THAN TO STAY AWAY.

  • Quality Inn 2526 Cherry Rd. Rock Hill, S.C. This was the worst Quality Inn we have ever seen! We asked for a ground floor, but there the housekeeping was still cleaning rooms – really at 6pm??? They gave us a room on the 2nd floor in the back. Dirtiest room we have ever had for a Quality Inn motel! Ancient heater with an inch of dust on it, refrigerator freezer was frosted over 2 inches thick. The room was outdated bad. The hallway and stairs were old & fifty, then we find a reddish stain on the white bedspread!!!!! We left the room to go check out & get our money back & my husband see a cockroach in the hallway! The front desk person had to call her manager to get permission to give us back our money, but really didn't. We had to call & get our money back when we got home.

  • Warning! DO NOT BOOK AT QUALITY INN ASHLAND VA. If you need to cancel and click the wrong button, you will be stuck paying for a room which is non-refundable even thought that was not obvious from the Hotels.com interface. I contacted both Hotels.com (owned by Expedia) and Quality Inn Ashland and explained that a mistake was made (that I did not see anywhere until after clicking buttons that the room was non-refundable.) Seems like a trick to get money without actually allowing the customer to immediately cancel after a mistaken booking has been made. But no one at Quality Inn Ashland would refund our money. I have never been treated in such a terrible manner by any other hotel anywhere! Sad!And to think I always liked Virginia. I guess Quality Inn Ashland VA could care less.

  • I recently left quality inn located on 127 dawsonville GA and I had a terrible experience. I was traveling for work related purposes and my suitcase had all my work cloths in it, Once I returned to my room after work some of my work cloths were missing. I contacted maintenance and spoke with a lady named Kathy who said "she worked there for 9 years and noone has ever taken anything from a room guest since working there" I proceeded to ask for a manager to explain that my cloths were missing and she replied " we don't have a manager her" later that day I went looking for someone and found the manager he only apologised and said he would check And to no surprise he found one of my missing work cloths cleaned. I find it so unprofessional and disrespectful that someone would go through my luggage and take out cloths. On top of that work cloths that are stained from construction materials. That is one less work uniform I no longer have.

  • We stayed at The Garden of the gods in Colorado Springs in Nov and payed cash for our stay. We needed to check out a day early, but wasn't given a refund. We have been waiting since then for it ( 3 mo). We keep getting the runaround every time we call.

  • Stayed at the Quality Inn University In Albuquerque, NM in June 2016. Was there for my mom's Wedding. We travel from Texas to Albuquerque often. I have a Choice Privileges Account.
We got to the hotel and had to go to a pre wedding dinner. When we got back to the hotel, our door was able to just be pushed open. Our door would not close properly and we had to call for a handyman to fix it. In the "kitchenette" area, the floors were sticky and there were dead roaches squished on the floor! It looked like nobody had been in to clean. The carpets had large stains and the carpets were also sticky. Called front desk as well as Choice Privileges since I am a member to let them know of the poor condition the hotel was in. Homeless people everywhere. I have three daughters and at no time would I let them out of my sight. Strong odor of POT coming from several of the rooms. It appears that perhaps they rent out rooms by the week to people who have no other place to live. Will never stay there again.

  • On Feb. 14, 2017 my wife and I decided to take a Valentines Day reprieve from the norm. We decided to use the Scottish Inn in Beaumont, Texas. It is located at 50 I-H 10 North, Beaumont, Texas 77702. Our stay was marred by a few things I have NEVER seen at the many different motels/hotels we have stayed in. For starters, the wall paper trim at the ceiling was peeling. Secondly the carped was not the cleanest as the bottom of our socks were almost blackened from just wearing them while walking around in them. Also the carpet had iron burns where someone apparently had either left the iron on the floor and/or dropped it while using it to press their clothing. Thirdly, the drywall in the room had cracks in the walls. Fourth on this list was the cracked sink at the vanity area. Fifth, the cracked floor tile near the bath tub. Both of these cracks had black in the cracks indicating some form of either dirt or possibly fungus generating in them. Sixth, the kleenex dispenser limited the access to the tissues with merely a two inch hole so deep one would need a pair of tweezers to extract a tissue if needed. Seventh was the toilet seat. It was not securely attached to the toilet. The first time I sat on it to take care of business, I nearly fell off. Eighth problem was the fact there was only one wash rag to be used by the two of us. Not really a significant problem but if we were two men using the room for business purposes one of us would have had to use the others soiled wash rag. Finally the next to the last problem we encountered was the freezer part of the small refridgerator in the room…IT HAD A GREEN BLOB ABOUT TWO INCHES THICK AND APPROXIMATELY SIX INCHES IN DIAMETER WRAPPED IN PLASTIC. I did not mention this to my wife until we left the next day but I would not however allow her to put any drinks or left over food from our dinner in the thing for fear of cross contamination. Now as I begin to mention the final straw that I feel breaks the camel's back… THERE IS NOT A LINK ON THE WEBSITE FOR SCOTTISH INNS TO SEND CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS FOR SOME FORM OF CLOSURE FOR THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT! I realize that many of the motels are run by independent owners of the Motel Chain, BUT THE NAME OF SCOTTISH INNS ARE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUSINESS. SCOTTISH INNS SHOULD have a final say-so as to how the individual location is run and how it is kept sanitary. If Scottish Inns are not concerned for their reputation, then Scottish Inns should shut down their business and sell it or give it to some company or individual that is willing to run the business in a safe and sanitary condition. The City of Beaumont, Texas will be notified of this condition as soon as I am able to contact the right person by phone. I feel a letter or an e-mail will be too late to contact the Health Department for a formal letter of complaint. Also know, I am a U.S. Naval Veteran and it is my intentions to pass this same letter of discomfort to those other Veteran Organizations to otherwise boycott this chain of Motel/Hotels. Apparently this site will not let me post my name even though it has a spot to select as Open ID.

  • Apparently the Quality Inn in Fort Dodge Iowa is flying their flag improperly. The manager was apparently informed of this and thought it was "no big deal." As the mother of a military person and a proud citizen of the United States, let me tell you, It is a BIG DEAL. Please inform your managers that to have the flag flying by only one hook is a disgrace and it is something the needs to be fixed. People DO notice.

  • As a veteran I would not consider staying at the Fort Dodge Iowa Quality Inn after seeing the picture on social media of how the flag has been being displayed for some time now and after being approached being told its no big deal. its a big deal to me. if they have that kind of respect for our flag then they have no respect for the persons that defend it. corporate needs to fix this problem

  • Just received a communication concerning the improper display of the American Flag at the Quality Inn in Fort Dodge Iowa. When approached about it I understand the staff reply was that it was no big deal. Yes it is a big deal and needs to be corrected immediately. Things like this and dirty rooms is why I no longer stay at Quality Inns.

  • THE FLAG AT QUALITY INN IN FORT DODGE, IOWA, IS BEING FLOWN IMPROPERLY. THE MANAGER HAS REFUSED TO FIX IT. THE AMERICAN FLAG, TO MOST U. S. CITIZENS, IS SACRED AND NEEDS TO BE FLOWN PROPERLY. HOW HARD IS IT TO TAKE IT DOWN, FIX THE ATTACHMENTS SO IT CAN BE FLOWN WHILE ATTACHED ON THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM, AND THEN RAISED UP THE FLAGPOLE AGAIN. THIS WILL GIVE QUALITY INNS A BOOST UP FOR ALL RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE VETERANS AND HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY.
PLEASE SEE THAT OUR GREAT FLAG IS FLOWN PROPERLY IN FORT DODGE, IOWA.
    THANK YOU.

  • I see you've been made aware of the shameful treatment of our American Flag by the Fort Dodge Quality Inn. A place without enough pride to take care of the flag hanging in front of its inn probably spends even less time caring for its rooms and guests.

And a corporate office who allows this obviously cares even less about its guests, its rooms and its subsidiaries.

I hope the world sees Quality Inns for what it is. I will never stay there. I would rather sleep in my car.

Good luck to you. You will need it.

  • I was going to stop and take advantage of your quality Inn in Fort Dodge, IA, but saw that how the US Flag was flown was disrespectful and so opted to go elsewhere…from information on this website, I think I made a good choice. Shape up or Ship out.

  • I recently spent the Christmas vacation time staying in your Hotel. Needless to say I was very upset. We stayed at the Quality in in Minden Nevada from Dec 24 to Dec 27. Upon arrival I ask for a ground floor unit due to a leg injury I have and was give room 100 on the ground floor. The desk clerk had striped one of the beds to give to another room and told us that she would find us another one and remake the bed. Also I need to say that the temperature was near 1 degree outside and inside the room for the heat was completely turned off and took us 9 hour to warm to room to 69 after waiting 3 hours for the desk clerk to bring us the blanket. She gave us the blanket but did not make the bed back up. We slept in one bed with our coats and sweaters on that first night. Christmas days we where away from the room till evening time and on return found again our room had not been cleaned or serviced. no beds made or clean towels. I went to the office to complain and they said that the maid had marked the room with a do not disturb sign which was never placed. Again the night clerk came and remade the room and brought us towels. Also this room had No microwave or telephone in the room. Carpets looked as if it had not been touched in months with small stones from the walk way outside everywhere. On the third day they did clean the room, failed to replace any of the drinking cups and had taken all of the ones we had. I now had nothing to drink from to take medications. I was not impressed by the "QUALITY" of service your hotel offered especially after paying over $200 to have to be my own maid. I will not be staying with your hotel again.

  • I just sent this to the Allegheny County PA Health Dept. and will try and contact the motel manager AGAIN tomorrow. I am not going to let the Quality Inn people give me a dose of food poisoning and just let it slide.
This Quality Inn is in Harmarville, Pennsylvania. Stay away and stay healthy. I will be extremely surprised if anyone from corporate responds to this food poisoning complaint. I do believe the Allegheny County Health Dept. will pay the motel a visit though since I lived in that county most of my life and worked in the restaurant business. They can be really tough.

This to the Allegheny County Health Dept.
"I spent four nights at the Quality Inn in Harmarville. The dates were Dec. 21 thru Dec. 25. I was in town to visit family in the area. Each morning they have a Continental Breakfast set out for hotel guests. Eggs and sausage are two of the items they put out. The four mornings I stayed at the motel I had a serving of both eggs and sausage. On the morning of the 25th I checked out of the motel. On the drive back to North Carolina where I live, at about 10 in the morning, I started belching the eggs and sausage and was having stomach discomfort. I did not eat anything the rest of the day except sipping water since my stomach was so upset. I returned home at 7 that evening and was still belching eggs and sausage. I went to bed at 10 pm not having eaten all day except the breakfast. At 3 AM in the morning I was having extreme intestinal pain and had diarrhea. After sleeping for a couple more hours I was up by 7 AM and again had diarrhea again and again. It is now 11 AM on the 26th and still feel discomfort. I called the motel and the manager is not available and the motel owner I was told does not take telephone calls. So be it. I will be writing their corporate people. I also noticed the people, a different one each morning, was not wearing gloves while handling the breakfast food. I'm old and tough. If a child would have had the bad breakfast food it could have been a much sadder story. Please contact me at xxx xx xxxx if you would like more details of my Merry Christmas at the Quality Inn." • WORST STAY EVER!!! My family and I came to Kansas City to go to the Chiefs game. When we arrived, they told us that they needed my credit card to hold the rooms, but nothing would come off. An hour later, the 93.03 for both rooms had been charged to my account. When we got back from the game, I happened to check my account again and there was an additional charge for 113.03. When we asked about it he printed out 3 pieces of paper n said 'This is all we charged you for… 93.03 for 1 room, 93.02 for 2nd room and pet deposit. We said' Fine, if you are going to lie, then we will leave. Refund the $ and we'll find another place. He said no, the guy in the morning would fix it, we can talk to the manager then. He went back up to talk to the guy to find out he lied about the additional charge. He said the guy before him charged us for ANOTHER room and a pet deposit. Oh, and guess who wouldn't be I until the day AFTER we left?? So there was no manager to talk to on Monday. Oh did I mention this is Christmas Day we are talking about… So my husband tried to talk to the lady at the front desk and she said it was an 'incidental charge'. Why?? Withouy my knowledge or permission. He told her about the conversation the night before, her response 'I don't care, it's the managers problem.' What?? Nice bunch of people you all have working here. Really?? They are incompetent, uncaring, and money grabbers. I will NEVER grace this crap hole-tel again, nor will I recommend you to ANYONE, ever!! Thanks for running our Christmas!!!!

  • Quality Inn
    4424 Cleburne Blvd
    Dublin, VA 24084

Very poor, No Ice, No breakfast-due to electric going out. Room dirty and smokey, depsite request for smoke free room. We both have respiratory issues. Whole place, hallway smelled of smoke. Room not clean at all. Loose carpet outside bathroom door which was tripped on several times. At 3am half the Inn had electric. No air-conditioning, no warm water. Will not plan on staying at this Inn again..

Even for one night this was not a good experience at all.

Nancy Lockhoff. Arrival date 9/26 departure 9/27 We will avoid this Inn for any future stops. Please have your Inns better kept.

  • Quality Inn and Suites in Cameron Park California is horrible the window in my bathroom was broken so anybody could open it up there are no screens on the Windows he can get fresh air and there's no good sealant on the doors. Don't stay here if you are a non-smoker because if you were in a room that has an adjoining door and the people in that room smell better not supposed to smoke it comes right through to your room it is a completely uncapped Hotel and I will never stay here again and I don't know what to corporate headquarters are doing but obviously they don't have anybody looking at their hotel all over the US they must just be sitting at their desks twiddling your thumbs and just collecting the money for themselves because they're not putting it into the hotels

  • It was my first time staying at a Quality Inn, it will be my last!!! I can't believe all the bad reviews here on the Corporate's page. Something needs to change within this organization. We stayed in Nashville's Quality Inn, Interstate Dr, next to Nissan Football stadium and it was an absolutely horrible experience. We stayed three night and our room was never cleaned, no sheets changed, did get new towels one night as we had to ask for them. No Customer Service paid over $500. for weekend and not worth the money!!! Staff at front desk were rude, no friendly feeling ever received, just a bunch of very lazy employees. The best part is the shuttle bus available to downtown, well NO shuttle service all 3 nights available. Once again, great customer service, NOT!!! Downtown Nashville is easily a mile walk. No perks at this hell hole!! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I hope Corporate reads these comments to help make their company a better one, if they don't they don't care about Quality Inn name or reputation. All I know, we'll never stay at another Quality Inn, even if it was free. I recommend to the Corporate office to submit a name change to Non-Quality Inn. Thank you.

I will never return to the Quality Inn again; I STRONGLY suggest you don’t either!!

My friend had nowhere to stay last night and little money, so I rented a room for her with my credit card at the Quality Inn located at: 2720 NASA Parkway, Seabrook, TX 77586. I told the front deskman that I was renting it for someone else; he said that was no problem. I gave him all my info and gave me the confirmation number.

The next morning the manager, Moses Rediwala, called her room threatening to call the police for fraud if she didn’t pay cash or supply the credit card on file. Upon hearing of this from my sobbing friend, I called Moses to try to fix the situation. He was EXTREMELY rude and pompous about his position that she and I were committing fraud and threatened to call the police if I was not there in less than 4 minutes. He told me if she did not produce cash or a credit card immediately, he would have her arrested. When she tried to give him what cash she had, he abusively chastised her for interrupting our phone conversation.

When I arrived, he loudly continued to try to justify his terrible behavior and atrocious customer service, and would scarcely let me speak at all. I had to ask him multiple times for the required form, before he stopped his self-important raving long enough to give it to me.

At no time did he call and let me know that I needed to sign a form to rent a room for someone else, even though he had my phone number. Instead, he proceeded to threaten and bully my young friend, treating her like an indigent criminal. He stated repeatedly that she was his daughter age, as if that was relevant; I seriously doubt he would allow someone to treat his daughter this abusively.

In my entire life, I have never met a hotel manager more inept at customer service. I am astounded and astonished that the Quality Inn Corporation wants an arrogant jerk like this to represent their company, given his severe narcissistic power and control issues and SHOCKING unprofessionalism. I will never go back again. Run from this place!!!

  • Carlisle PA
Quality Inn ….. Disgusting. My husband and I are here for fall Carlisle. Before we got to our room trying to get into the building, the card would not open the door. We walked down to the next door which worked. The hallway smells like old smoke from a cigar. We get to our room, I check the bed always and the bathroom. The bed sheets had hair on them. The bathroom tub had a dirt ring around the tub. I call the front desk. I want someone to come in change our sheets and clean the bathroom. Husband and wife team come in and of cause don't speak english. They change the sheets. We walk into the bathroom and show them the tub. Sitting outside the bathroom I hear a spray bottle but no water. Watching he sprays the floor and wiping it up with the sheet he just took off the bed. Went and checked the tub. I said you didn't even use water. Took the spray and rag and cleaned the tub myself. The back patio door does not lock, smoke detector not in the room. Where there once was a smoke detector is over the bed. (Going to fire dept reporting this in the morning). Spider webs above the inside of the patio door. Light fixture does not work. They have upholstered chairs outside as patio furniture. I can go on and on. Tried to find another hotel but everything is booked. I am not letting this go. I have pictures I will be sending the the corporate office. If your in Carlisle PA DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Trust me was looking to get away and now I am horrified to close my eye's tonight

  • I recently stayed at Quality Inn Terminal Drive Oklahoma City in August 2016 (20-27th)for one week. I had had surgery the day before and I needed to stay in the city near to my Doctor as I live in Lawton.

I made a booking for this hotel on Price Line which marketed a King standard which was a two area room (bedroom was separate) and there was a living area. A microwave and refrigerator were also advertised.

I called a few days ahead of my check-in date to speak to someone at the hotel (Scott) to ensure that my check-in was seamless. I explained that I would be coming straight from the hospital after surgery (7 hours surgery). I even asked that he run my card for the stay early.

It was a nightmare upon arrival. I got a double room with no two room area, no microwave, no refrigerator. So of course I reported this to the front desk. There was an Indian looking clerk, didn't get his name. He seemed not to care about my plight. He said he had to check to see if there was the correct room available.

upon visiting the front desk on numerous occasion to find out what was taking this long, he said he had to go to the rooms to see what was available…"Really". Shouldn't your system identify what is available and what isn't? I needed to rest because I was weak and he was stressing me out. I reluctantly agreed to keep the room as he promised to locate a microwave and refrigerator and personally bring them to the room.

It wasn't until about an hour and a half after that another worker brought them to the room. It wasn't him personally. I have proof of my assigned room, the one booked on priceline.com and I was charged the same amount of money for this crappy room. I had my son with me and my fiance joined me later.
I even requested an extra bed for my son on priceline…that area where they ask for special requests. Didn't get that either.

I am disgruntled because I teach in the area of Hospitality so I am quite aware of what service should be. I always try to insist with my students to go the extra mile. Create a Wow for your customers where it is almost impossible. Find some way to do it. Apparently your workers are not trained and your corporate department needs to address all these bed reviews that you are receiving and try to turn things around for you. Reach out to customers whom you have wronged and compensate or else you're better than thieves.

I do believe that you will hear the cries of your past customers because that is what we will be unless you give some value added atonement.

I intend to call Corporate Office

  • We had a bad experience at the Tahlequah, OK Quality Inn. The first room that we were checked into, the toilet was broken so they moved us. The second room stunk. The room was not very clean with stains on the floor that looked like vomit and there was what appeared to be a huge bug smeared on the bathroom ceiling. The microwave had the previous guest's last two meals still in it with veggies on the turn tray. Which was not cleaned at all during the 3 nights we stayed. This is a hotel chain that we will not be using again. If you would like to contact us, you can see our reservation info from this hotel. We stayed 9/16/16 – 9/19/16 in room 114 (first room was 112).

  • hello. we just returned home from a 6 day stay at Virginia Beach. the only thing that I can say positive is that they did have hot coffee on the breakfast bar. The room we got was moldy. I told the morning staff about the small HOLE in the ceiling with mold looking thru at us and we were told that someone would look at it. That must have been all that they did, as this was not fixed by the time we returned later that day. I again told the evening staff about the hole and now the sink did not drain. it needs some parts, so I did not fix it myself. We started to get a water drainage along with the mold the last 2 days that drained directly into the AC unit. Had to place a bucket over it so that we would not have an electrical problem or worse maybe a fire. 6 days and 4 times we told them about the problems. Again, we have a sick wife due to the mold. She is coughing like crazy and has been doing so since we left – so for the middle of the 6 days thru today she is still sick from the mold. I really hate when management tells you that they will make it good and bold face lie to me. When will these folks start to listen to us? thanks for any comments that might help, but I fear that the only answer will be the sound of silence – the same sound that came from their repairs.

  • I cannot believe these reviews. how do you people stay in business? I bet if this hit the national news, you would probably make some changes. I always thought Quality Inn was a higher class of travelers inn, but i can see from the feedback, that is not the case. we stayed at the Quality Inn in Wickenburg Az. last night. they have a serious water leakage issue which had better be addressed before the mod and mildew sets in and turns black. I am going to contact the Arizona Public Health Department. sounds like your corporate office does not take these matters very seriously.

  • How DARE you call your hotel Quality! There was NOTHING Quality about the property located at 1109 Horner Road, Woodbridge, VA. I booked this hotel for my daughter who was relocating from a Military base in Kansas. After driving 19 hours she was exhausted and when we pulled up to this property, I knew immediately that I had made a grave error. This property is a Homeless Shelter. It looks like and smells like a shelter. It is NASTY, dirty, disgusting. It was 1:30 a.m. and she was too tired to look for somewhere else and I had already pre-paid with my credit card. The room looked like somewhere that Hookers rent by the hour. The pillow as filthy, there were guests walking around in their underwear. My daughter, being the trooper that she is, told me that despite all this, she had stayed in worse places while deployed overseas and she would only be there for about 10 hours. That was 10 hours to long!! I want my money back and you need to demolish this dirty, disgusting place you call a QUALITY Inn.

  • Quality Inn
    821 S Memorial Dr.
    Greenville, North Carolina

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Greenville, North Carolina. First thing we noticed was all the trash scattered around the outside of all the doors. When we entered our room, there were stains on the beds, rips in the carpet, and some kind of white powdery substance all over one of the chairs. But to top it all off, after my kids had already fallen asleep for a few hours, that is when we noticed the BED BUGS!!! We killed at least 12 of them and those were the ones we could catch to kill. We first asked for a new room. The attendant wasn't apologetic or anything. The new room was just as bad, plus it had a toilet that wouldn't stop running. So at 11:30 PM we were force to pack up our two kids and search for a new hotel. We were refunded our money but if even one bed big latched on and comes home with us, no money can replace the hassle that will bring. So I will NEVER…EVER…stay at a Quality Inn again…and I will make sure everyone I know never makes the same mistake we did! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AT ALL COST!

  • I stayed at the Tanglewood Quailty Inn in Roanoke, Virginia, on August 22, 2016. I checked in late at night and tired. The clerk informed me they could not accept credit cards and I had to pay cash. I informed him I don't carry cash and he directed me to a Kroger grocery store down the road to use the ATM located there. I was tired and not wanting to search out another hotel, I travelled to the Kroger, got the cash, and returned to the hotel. The room was not bad but the next morning, when I went downstairs for the included breakfast, I found everything with 'out of order' signs. Basically, the breakfast was a cup of coffee–that's all there was. When I checked out, the day clerk onformed me there was no way to give me a receipt so I left. I expect that I checked in "under the table" and there is no record that I was even astaying there. Obviously I won't go back and certainly can't recommend this hotel.

  • I booked my room at the Quality Inn, Long Beach, CA through Hotels.com. This hotel was rated 4/5 stars. The pictures portrayed something completely different. It was set up Motel style which was not described in the write up, it was basically a truck stop with a run down dirty pool, scuff marks all of the inside of the door, broken air conditioner, other guests smoking illegal substances on the balcony.

I checked out immediately. They charged me for 1 night which was understandable. However, it has been over 1 month and I still have not received my refund. I have called every week since the last week in July and I have only spoken to the manager twice. I was put on hold for 1 hour by the girl at the front desk. She clearly did not want to assist me in my issue so continued to put me on hold every time I called back. Completely disrespectful and incredibly unprofessional.

In the meantime I still have not received my refund and the managers in not helpful AT ALL.

  • I stay at the Quality Inn in El Centro, CA frequently and it’s my favorite place to stay away from home. However on August 13, 2016 at 8:06PM, I was existing the pool, opened the gate and as the door was closing something scrapped against my left arm. I felt a burning sensation and looked down only to discover a 5” to 6” cut with white flesh showing. It instantly started bleeding so I walked to the front desk and told Justin what happened. I asked him for a first aid check which he provided me with several items. He also asked if I wanted to file a report at the time I said no because I wanted to clean the cut and shower. It bleed for minutes I wrapped my arm up and took a pain pill and went to sleep. The next day I was open with blood just ugly, a little stiff and aching I decided to file a report with Earl, Sunday morning. Unfortunately he couldn’t find the physical incident report forms and had me report what happened on a piece of paper. I went to my doctor’s office to get checked, I was up-to-date with my Tetanus shot and was told it’s healing just to look out for infections. Justin and Earl showed they cared and made sure I was ok, their customer service was excellent.

I checked out on Sunday, Monday came I left a positive review but I also included my incident (per Choice Hotels message someone would respond within 48 hours), still no response. Now it’s almost a week later and I have yet to receive any acknowledge which make me very upset.

I will be sending this email to Quality Inn Headquarters also. I look forward a to response.

    Unhappy Customer

  • BAD!!
I called to ask for some rates and the "manager" yelled at me and told me that I was stupid and that I need to write things down if I have such a bad memory. Then she repeated the same thing that I just said. I asked to talk to the manager and she yelled at me again and said "I am the manager and you cant talk to someone else because I don't report to anyone else" I told her I will not be staying at her hotel. its the one in Lenexa the address is 12601 W. 96th Terrace, Lenexa, KS, 66215, US. I called another location to try to book my stay with them and he asked me what happened and he was super helpful and told me that she isn't a manager and that he would take care of it for me. He was super helpful and kind. Im not sure if he was the manager at the one in olathe (the address is) 15475 S. Rogers Rd, Olathe, KS, 66062, US. He gave me a discount for everything I was dealing with. Teri you are amazing and I thank you for everything you did for me today

  • We stayed at a Quality Inn located at 50 Speedway Lane, Bulls Gap, TN. We entered our room and had to kill numerous cock roaches crawling on the floor and a few on the walls. We checked our beds for bedbugs and other creatures. When checking out I told them they better check this room out before renting it out and told them why. The clerk muttered something and then told me I would be receiving a refund to my card. It has been over a week now and still no refund. Called the Headquarters and was placed on hold and eventually they disconnected the call, very professional. Apparently they do not care about their reputation and name. I would not recommend this hotel chain to anyone. Looking at the previous comments it is very apparent they just do not care.

  • Roaches!! Nasty place! We stayed in a Quality Inn in Wilmington, NC for one night. What a dump! Couldn't go anywhere else since it was student move in weekend and no rooms available anywhere. Lady was in office the next morning complaining about the same thing. No refunds were given

  • I stayed at the QI in Dahlgren, VA a year ago and they did not give me the AAA rate as requested. When I realized it I went to the front desk as well as spoke to the manager via phone the next morning and he, (Ritchie) refused.I took a snapshot of the AAA rate on their site and called CHOICE to no avail.

FF to a few days ago…8/10 and 8/11/2016. Stayed 2 nights. Checked out and my receipt totaled $242 and change. My CC bill reflected $267 and change plus another nights stay of $96 and change. Called and spoke with the guy who checked me in as well as an Indian woman who claimed to know nothing and only work part time. The a/c never got cold and the toilet leaked. The maintenance man who was also Indian, also did not know the name last name of the manager who also happens to be Indian. 3 Indians in the same building, unrelated and don't know the manager's name???

To date, there has been no apology, no removal of the eroneous charges, and call from the manager Ritchie who's last name is unknown by all staff.

CHOICE Hotels all have the standards of 3rd World Countries. Now that I know that, I will not stay ever again!

And CHOICE privileges? There are no privileges to staying in a dump.

  • Quality Inn Modesto. . . The worst, most disgusting room I ever stayed in, almost as bad as you will find in third world countries. Our toilet seat was covered with urine stains, the ceiling is so poorly patched , possiblly from a roof leak. This room may well have been the scene of a multiple hommocide . . . Room 305.
Corporate , you need to check this place out. Obviously new managment is needed ASAP.

  • Quality Inn Seaworld North, San Antonio

So my wide and I checked in August 10th 2016, the first room was a disaster. It smelt like dog and just stinky mildew. Keep in mind we have a 7, 3, and 2 yr old that we need to get in bed. We then get transferred to another room in which smelt fine, but they didn't vacum, we found finger nail clippings on the floor, trash as well, and then in the shower there was a used shampoo and a cup in the shower. Then to top that off there was no shower curtain. You know in my opinion, regardless of the amount of money you pay the room should be ready in all aspects. My question is who checks these rooms to confirm they are ready to go? At any rate I feel like there should be some type of refund, or at least a free nights stay somewhere else. Now the person that was working was great she didn't flinch when helping us and that will go a long way, but the quality of rooms need to be better.

  • Quality Inn and Suites
    210 South Nicholson
    Santa Maria, CA 93454

I recently stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites in Santa Maria, CA. I have stayed at this particular hotel on two previous occasions – once in 2014 and once in 2015. Both times I stayed for a week and my stay there was great and I had no complaints.

This time however, I was very disappointed. Three of the seven days my room was not cleaned – bed was not made, room not vacuumed (in fact the room was never vacuumed), bathroom not cleaned, no fresh towels. I had to ask the front desk for fresh towels. The management was very apologetic and accommodating, but each evening when I returned to my room, I wondered if it had been cleaned that day. I received an AARP discount, but that was completely zeroed out by the increase in room rate on Friday night. I expect that the room rate will increase slightly on a weekend – Friday being the start of the weekend, but the rate was more than triple my discounted AARP rate. That is totally unacceptable. The first two years I stayed at this hotel, the rate for Friday night only went up an additional $50.00. This time it went up an additional $191.00 for one night! Again, totally unacceptable. When I was checking out I asked to speak to the manager – he was conveniently not available. I wonder how many other guests were ripped off this past week. Needless to say, I will not be staying at this hotel next year while I'm here on business.

  • I am shocked at the lack of integrity and compassion that this hotel chain has. They have contracted with one of the largest cancer centers in North Carolina for guaranteed rooms for cancer patients. When a family member checked into the room, they were very rude saying that they had a large number of people coming to stay and they would have to give them a single bed room, when the patient has cancer and can't sleep with anyone. When I tried calling the individual answering the telephone was very rude.

How can an organization contract with a hospital for special arrangements and not follow through? I think the state of North Carolina's State Attorney General's office and fraud unit needs to take a look at the unlawful practice this organization is setting up. I hope that anyone seeing this boycott's this organizations hotels in the future due to the hotel's lack of integrity and following through on contracts. Boycott quality inn hotels!!!

  • We checked in at the quality Inn at Richmond airport and found the following issues: Someone had left used dental floss across the vanity. We literally have ants everywhere..The walls rug and yes as the bed. They are everywhere. There is mold and mildew on the walls and ceiling. I went to the front desk and voiced my concerns. The front desk was sorry and tried to relocate us to another room so we checked out the other room and the same problems. We were basically stuck ..other hotels were mostly booked up.. Lesson learned I will stay in nothing but the Marriott chain !! The cooperate office should ashamed of themselves..I refuse to pay for this dump and demand a full refund and an apology from corporate..dam ants are climbing on us as I write this.. we are heading to the airport and sit up all night ..at least we don't have to worry about bugs there.. totally disgusted.

  • I recently attempted to stay at a Quality Inn in Butte Montana. The lobby smelled like mold and urine. Then this weekend 7/22 and 7/23 is Evil Knieval days in Butte, one of the busiest weekends and the owner decides to seal coat his parking lot, leaving nowhere to park. The contractors that were working on the parking lot were rude to us. When brought this to the "manager on duty" he didn't try to fix the situation. He did offer to cancel my reservation but there is still a hold on my credit card. Not to mention I did walk the hallway to my room and it looked like the carpet hadn't been vacuumed in 10 years. Almost glad he did me a favor in cancelling my reservation but pissed because I drove two hours and then turned back and drove home.

  • We arrived on Saturday July 18, 2016 at The Comfort Inn on Sterling Road, Hollywood, Fl., on Sunday July 17, 2016 we got up and went downstairs for breakfast. It was raining and my friend's daughter slipped and fall. Instead of asking her if she needed help, the cleaning lady who was in the walkway watched her and went into a room. She came back out the room with another cleaning lady stood by the door for the room and started laughing. It is noe Tuesdat our flight leaves at 10:09 in the morning, my sister put clothes to do laundry and since she's prengant and already sleeping I decided to finish them for her. I dryer wouldn't take the quarters so I used my cellphone and call the front desk, the person that answered the phone said to use the laundry on the 2nd floor. I told him "I have a flight early in the morning and that this is and inconvenience and I don't have anything to carry it downstairs in", he said "he was sorry". Ok, I went to the 2nd floor anyway wanting the laundry out of the way. Came down the dryer was doing the same thing, so I called again. This time the person answering the phone said he would send the security to help me. He took about 10 mins which was ok with me, but the first thing out his mouth was "wah happen"? I thought to myself, "is he upset because I woke him up"? No good night, how are you, nothing. So I showed him that I put in 4 quarters and the dryer does not work, well he watched me and shouted that "the dryer takes 6 quarters. I was like "all you had to do was say Miss the dry takes 6 quarters, you don't have to talk to me like that". So I asked "him where do get the quarters from"? He said "why you asking me where you get the quarters from, did it look like I goy any quarters from anywhere"? He walked to the door of the laundry room and because at this point I was really feeling disrespected, so I was getting loud. He said something about a child I didn't understand him, I sucked my teeth and he walked away. I went to my hotel room and called the front desk and asked "where do you get teh change for the laundry"? He said right here at the front desk, so I went down to get the money changed. When I got downstairs the security and the guy that was at the front desk was sitting in the lounging room watching TV. I ask him for the change and the asked him "did you see me come here for any change tonight"? He said "no", looking all confused. So I asked him can "I get a complaint form please"? He said "they don't have any"? So I asked "how can I make a complaint"? He gave me a blank white printing paper and "said write my complaint on it and he will staple it on my receipt". I said "no, how can I trust you to get it delivered"? You and him sitting watching TV together I don't trust you". Then he tell me to "go on the website and make my complaint". I asked him the security officer name he said "ask him", I said for him to shouting at me again? He told "me his name is JERRY" which I am not even sure that's his name. I mean I love this hotel, clean, wonderful and nice atmosphere, but some of the workers is just ridiculous.

  • Stayed at Quality Inn in Merrillville, Indiana on 7-16-16. First off they charged my Credit Card on a Reservation.Which they was not suppose to do. Then did not tell us the pool and hot tub was closed due to high bacteria levels. This was the only reason we booked the room was for the pool and hot tub use. I am traveling with an Autistic Grandson who loves to swim and this was a mini-vacation for him that was totally ruined !!!! Needless to state. Then we went to the front desk and inquired about it all they stated they would cancel our stay if we wanted them to. So I went to my sister and told her and we packed up our stuff and put it all back in the car it took 3 loads. Then when we inquired at the front desk again there was a different clerk that was there and he would not cancel our stay! So we was charged anyway! At this point I am very upset and mad! No manager on duty to speak with, we would have to wait until morning. Paid extra for this hotel room for the amenities and was not able to use them! Grandson was very upset also cause he could not swim as promised! WE are contacting Corporate on such a bad deal. Then told front desk that needed to post or let others no somehow that pool and hot tub was not in use at this time! And there was know comment made to give us money back on such a raw deal or management called to assist us on this issue. This is totally wrong! Feel like we was ripped off totally! And we did not enjoy our stay at all. Pammalee Hughes 7-18-16

  • "Dangerous Employee"
On 7/15/16 we checked into the Quality Inn (AZ222)located in Flagstaff AZ. After dinner we went to do our laundry, upon arrival another guest stated that the dryer was not drying properly. My wife went to the front service desk to report it. After a few minutes the maintenance person arrived and told us that the dryer is working properly even after the guest showed him the wet clothes. When it was my turn after about 1 hour of drying, my clothes were still wet. I went to report it to the front desk, the lady again called the maintenance person about the dryer. When he arrived, he started yelling and cursing at me in my face because I was bothering him at this late hour. He was not wearing a uniform and also an ID name plate. I went to the front desk to report this serious problem and asked for this persons full name. The lady replied "I don't know his name and I don't know who is on duty". Afterwards I returned back to the laundry room. Then the person came back again, yelling and cursing at me for reporting the incident. He threatened me not to report anything to the front service desk. While still cursing and yelling at me, he said his name was "Troy". The next morning I reported it to the front desk and requested to speak with the General Manager. I was told that he was on his way into the location, so we waited and waited and waited, then decided to leave. Before leaving, I gave my cellphone number to the lady at the front desk so that the General Manager can call me after he arrives. After 24 hours of waiting for his call,he never ever called me back. General Manager Mark Ross Jr. is just as bad as the other two employees. Instead of staying and visiting Arizona for the week, we just drove away and left the state. We will never ever return back to Arizona. Stay away from this Hotel, go to another place.

  • I agreed on a rate. I signed for a rate. I checked out without any issues. 2 days later manager goes in and CHANGES RATE AND CHARGES MORE!!!! I am calling the DA. That is credit card fraud and identity theft. And when i call……. of course there is no answer from corporate.

  • Absolutely horrific! There was BLACK MOLD behind our toilet! BLACK MOLD! We had a child with us! We asked to speak with a manager and there "wasn't one on duty on the weekends" what?! The room had a nasty smell and CLEARLY used to be a smoking room. I would NEVER stay in another Quality Inn or recommend it to my worst enemy! When we checked in the front desk lady was all sorts of sassy and unprofessional.

  • Quality Inn 100 Red Cedar Court Chesapeake, VA, US, 23320

First off I would like to say the personnel working at the desk at check in and check out was pretty decent. No problem with them.
I blame myself for choosing this hotel, I didn't look at the reviews, or google map the area.
First off, I was told to pull around to the back, because the back door was closer to my room, which it was, but the back door did not lock so immediately I felt unsafe, especially being the second room from the outside door. When I entered the room after 5 swipes of my hotel key, the room had a awful mildew smell!
One of the first things I attempted to do was iron my clothes, the iron had someone shirt tangled in the cord, I attempted to plug it in, the iron did not work. The front desk clerk did replace it with a new one.
I left the room shortly after checking in. On my return later that night, I opened the fridge and two roaches ran on top of the fridge.
Finally i lay down for the night. I pulled the cover back to reveal the sheets. To my surprise the supposed to be white sheets had dirty tint on them, and the sheets, cover and pillows were damped. Not sure if it was from the AC, or what.. but the sheets were damp, and carried the same mildew smell.
After the front desk person telling me they were all booked, and didn't have any other room available. I was stuck with what I had…
I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this hotel. Thanks for making my holiday. Great way to house a Soldier of the United States Army!

  • Very nasty water.. couldn't take baths.. no breakfast.. brushed teeth with bottle water and people were rude when trying to talk to them.

    Stayed in Gakkup, NM

  • STUCK at the Denver, CO Quality Inn- Booked rooms for the Sparkler softball tournament…. EVERY hotel in Denver and surrounding area was booked solid. Upon arriving I found the bed was made with OBVIOUS FILTHY sheets. There was no mistaking someone had been in the bed previous and left DNA. I called the front desk and they sent someone up right away. The hispanic housekeeping came in and stripped the bed right away/made up with fresh sheets. I showed her that the comoforter had "stains" all over it too. She looked at me, grabbed the comforter from my hands (I was holding up a corner that wasn't "stained") and she threw it on the floor. I was assuming she didn't speak English and was unable to communicate but she then pointed to the freshly made bed and said, "Is this good enough for you?"…. Yeah, I needed extra blood pressure meds after that one. That situation was only faced by me having to call the front desk because the air conditioning did not work. It was the last week of June and getting up to 90 during the day. I was informed they couldn't fix the air and had no rooms to move me to. No other hotels had rooms so I was STUCK!

Do NOT ever – EVER stay at Quality Inn- The name is a joke.

The fact it was even listed on the sheet for reservations associated with the Sparkler/Fireworks is shocking. AVOID this hotel at all costs!!!!
    —You have been warned….

  • Wow, not only it is impossible to leave a voicemail but you are put on hold until your hand and neck turns numb. I realize that the hotels, Inns are franchised but are you not interested at all on how you are actually being represented. No towels, grungy bathrooms, dirty floors and walls. I am afraid of what I would find with an infrared light. You really need to take stock on what your customers are saying if you truly want repeat customers. The Norfolk Naval Quality Inn is managing to get some bad reviews. I was going to book with them when I had to wait 20 minutes to get someone to answer the phone. I was then able to look them up on-line while I was waiting and ended up booking with Best Western.

  • I recently stayed at the Quality Inn Pocono Resort in Lake Harmony, PA, in May 2016. Please note i stayed there in November of 2015 and was surprised how the facility had deteriorated so quickly.

I would like to bring to your attention that the facility was recently taken over by new ownership with that in mind there are some serious items that need to be addressed with this facility.

elevators – one has been out of service for over 6 months (i was at the same facility in November)

The other elevator has not been inspected in over a year or more.

The roof(s) leaked a lot in a lot of areas of the facility. Including the in door pool area. If this issue isn't addressed then the facility will fail due to decay, rot and mildew.

The restaurant was closed which made it very inconvenient to have to seek outside venues. Found out that before our group came staff were fired.

The bar needs updating and tho there were wonderful young ladies trying their best to be bartenders as well as housekeepers, there needs to be professional bartenders hired.

The main lobby bathroom smelled terrible and one stall was closed down the whole 5 days we were there. When i mentioned to the manager on call the solution was to over spray air freshener.

The pool needs a revamp, tiles in the pool are missing and there looks to be some decay.

The sauna was not working at all.

Our room had no refrigerator or microwave yet others did. And there was a place for a small refrigerator.

had to go to 2nd floor for ice no ice machines on every floor.

The shower this is a major – water went from cold to scalding. find this very dangerous especially if one were to have a small child.

I do know after our groups stay the new general manager was fired. i heard he tried to lure young women from the bar to his room.

I hope for the sake of the new owners and for corporate that these items are looked into.

  • I mistakenly booked for 3 nights at the incorrect city in OR. Same night I tried to cancel the reservation at Keizer, OR, instead of McMinnville, OR. The hotel personnel that worked that evening said that I would be able to cancel the reservation. I called again the next eve and they said I would have to speak with the manager. The manager was not available, but the clerk on duty said that shouldn't be a problem to cancel the reservation. This occurred on 3/28/16 and I followed up on 3/29/and 3/30/16. The reservation was for 4/28-4/30/16. I believed that everything was settled and I made reservations at another motel in McMinnville, OR. After returning from my trip, I checked my credit card bill and found that the charge of $270.12 was not reimbursed. I called the motel in Keizer, OR, and spoke with the manager and she said "we do not do reimbursements". Do not go to Quality Inn at Keizer, OR, EVER!!! The management there is not what you'd expect from Oregonians. So Remember Folks!! Do not stay at Quality Inns at Keizer, OR!!!

  • Never will I stay at a quality inn again, stopped at Dunn north Carolina for the night, discusting hotel, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling down inside the shower, the rest of the ceiling in there was peeling off,no small refrigerator , not even a ice machine, sheets on the bed had stains on them, took the sheets off to inspect the matrress, found toe nail clippings, dirt, small pieces of items no clue what it was, rugs where dirty, never ever again will i stay at their hotels.

  • I travel all over for work..last night I stayed IN MOLINE ILLINOIS at a quality inn and at about 11:30 PM I WAS woken up by another customer coming into MY room, if of course it startled me, a few minutes later the manager came pounding on the door and stood there looking at me as if I were the one in the wrong…we exchanged words and not one time did I get an apology, an offer to refund me NOTHING! I WILL NEVER EVER STAY IN ONE OF THESE HOTELS AGAIN!

  • RUINED MY VACTION!

Hotel was suppose to cost $118.88. We were going to split it with two cards. One card was going to pay $80 and then the other was to pay the $38.88. She said that was no big deal. UNTIL I CHECKED MY BANK ACCTOUNT!!!!! BOTH OF THE CARDS WERE CHARGED $118 (the TOTAL) AND $38.88(no idea why?) SOOOO IN TOTAL WE PAID 313.76 FOR OUR HOTEL!!! That was our spending money…that was why we went to your hotel because it was something we could afford and still be able to enjoy ourselves! If I was going to pay $300 for a hotel I WOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE BEACH AND NOT AT YOUR HOTEL FOR SURE!!!!! When we complained about it, they told us it should roll off in 3-4 days. umm…vaction will be over in 1 day!!! We have no money now! We barely have enough to get home on now! We didn't go down there with a pocket full of money. We wanted to go to the beach, go somewhere nice to eat, get a hotel, swim and enjoy ourselves, and come home. Vacation ruined!! Thanks!

  • Quality Inn on Marina Dunes in Monterrey, California is terrible! We had countless problems and the manager could not care less. No room service until 4 pm….by then we were all in the room so they could not clean. Trash spilling over bins outdoors for days before anyone emptied them dirty and cramped rooms. Showers went scalding to cold back and forth. We will not return.

  • When are to expect our refund in the amount of $69.89 that the staff knew about when we left but didn't know how to fix? It has been 3 weeks, ignored e-mails, left messages with no call back.

  • My family and I spent 1 night at Quality Inn Farmington on 4-9-2016 checking out on 4-10-2016. My Daughter and I split the fee of $163.22 which they charged her card and my card $81.61 each. When we checked out we received a receipt for our stay saying $163.22. When I got home and checked my account on 4-12-2016 there were 2 extra charges on my account from Quailty Inn one for $163.22 and the other for $333.25 totaling an extra $496.47 to go with the $81.61 I had already paid. After calling Quality Inn several times to try and fix the problem they still refused to replace all of the extra money they took from my account they accused us of smoking in the room which we didnt because we had a child we breathing problems with us. And that still would have only been and extra $150.00. And to keep from having to refund that they said we were the only people to have ever stayed in that room. And when the manager/owner was asked to be put on the phone we were told he was out eating breakfast with his family and wouldn't return until after 3pm.

  • TERRIBLE!!!!

    Quality Inn (Cedar Point South)
    11020 Milan Road
    Milan, OH 44846

Spoke with employee Holly who was delight! She deserves a raise if not a new career! She's better than the hotel itself! Melanie (GM) was also a delight to possibly help me with my problems. Since I left my stay over 2 weeks ago I CAN NOT get in touch with anyone at the hotel! It's always "busy" when the RSVP tries to connect me! Just awful! I booked this hotel for spring break with my family just to get there and find out NONE of the amenities were working! Being that it was too late to book anywhere else after driving 5 hours, I stayed and would NEVER stay at a quality inn ever and hope no one does. Very UNPROFESSIONAL

  • Stayed at the quality inn in spring mills West Virginia, no one thinks to look at the underside of the bedsheets so when I awoke had the blankets tossed back found they were blood stained!!! I mean Wtf instantly took a photo and notified the front desk. I simply said, I don't know if there's anything y'all can do but I found blood on my sheets its very disgusting. The clerk was rude and unprofessional. Maybe housekeeping needs to be retrained on bloodbourne allergens.

  • Recently stayed at the Not-Quality Inn off of Bristol Pike in Pennsylvania. This place needs to be leveled and burned to a crisp! The place smelled like a smoke factory, the sheets were torn with cigarette burns, the towels were torn, frayed and thin. There were at least two families living there because they knew someone downstairs/management, the remote control was scotch taped together, and to top it off, came back to the room after being at my nephews wedding all day and the toilet was overflowing! Of course the guy at the counter called the maintenance guy in from home, 25 minutes later the room was flooded, we left needless to say and no one had done a thing yet! I'm so surprised that a huge corporation would want to associate themselves with such a dump! Congratulations Quality, you and your people suck!

  • I recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Bristol, Virginia. I was not a bit pleased with my experience there. The room was greatly overpriced: seventy-five bucks for a room that did not even have a refrigerator, microwave, or even an iron. Furthermore, it had a connecting door to the next room that enabled me to hear everything going on next door (that's NOT a pleasant thing when the occupants barge in at 3:30 in the morning). I voiced these complaints to the desk clerk the next day and was given ten dollars off my price. Sixty-five bucks was still too much to pay for what little I received. I voiced these complaints to the hotel manager. She emailed an empty apology, and even implied that these problems were somehow my fault (she said I should have asked for a different room). Until I get a FULL refund, I will not be staying at that hotel again in the foreseeable future.

  • Cedar City, Utah. Quality Inn, I would not recommend to stay @. The desk clerk, her name is Ashley. Poor customer service, she needs to be properly retrained. Manager is worse. He hang up on me twice. My card was suppose to be swipe for just a $1.00 for amenity security to hold but my card was decline. So I left. I did show up & couldn't stay since my card was declined. The following monday, my card was charged over $100. I tried to explain to the desk clerk, Ashley, couldn't reason w/ her so I ask for the manager. He was worse, he hung up on me twices.
All Quality Inn wants is YOUR MONEY!
I would not, would not recommend this places……

  • We came to Quality Inn in Tucson – airport on Valencia – and expected to get a rest after the Davis Monthan air show. We came at 2 (check in time) and were told our room was not ready. The manager said they were booked solid and had not gotten to our room. I'm sorry you had a lot to do, but we were expecting to rest up after a grueling morning. He offered us a different room, but it was n0ot handicapped equipped. We took it out of desperation. The room was okay (just okay) We went down to the pool to relax in the Jacuzzi, it was as cold as the swimming pool. This has been a bad experience and we shan't stay at a Quality Inn in the future. You lost us through incompetence by your management.

  • I am very disgusted with the motel located 3025 North Main Street, Anderson SC that we stayed at on February 26, 2016. It smelt of musk and the bedspreads had cigarette holes in them. The towels and rags were hard and thin. I was afraid to walk barefoot on the floor fear of the filth it may have had on it. I know that housekeeping has nothing to do with what they give them to work with and for that no matter where I stay I leave a Thank you note and a $5 tip. I found that I had accidently left a pair of sterling silver earrings on the clock radio and my power cord to my Kindle Fire. I telephoned the motel and told them what room I was in and what I had forgotten. The clerk stated that housekeeping had already gone for the day and that they would check with them on Sunday and call me back. I had my husband go by there on his way home from his meeting and they told him the same thing. I did not get the call back like I was told so I called Sunday, they told me the manager was not working on Sunday for me to call back Monday and that house keeping had left. I called this morning Monday at 8:23 eastern time and the manager told me that he would check into it and would call me back in an hour. At 10:03 asked for the manager, he was gone, asked to speak with housekeeping, they transferred me to the lady working the breakfast bar whom they plan on making manager over housekeeping. I explained to her what I had just typed, she stated that she would call me back in an hour and a half the latest. At 12:39 still no phone call I called back, only to get the information that the housekeeper that cleaned my room is off for the day to call back tomorrow. I asked do you not have a place where these things are put so that the customer that left them can get them back. I was told yes but it is up to the housekeeper to put them there. I offered to pay COD to have my items returned to me. I will follow up in the morning, but am very disgusted at their customer service. Obviously something they very much lack of. I will never ever, ever never stay at another Quality Inn. And for this crap we paid $93, what a waste!

  • I recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Tampa near Brandon. I stayed on the first floor, there was a man standing out of my window starring at me. I told the front desk about the issue and the only thing they told me that I could do was to go to a different hotel rather than just changing my room to one floor up. Horrible consumer service.

  • I recently stayed in a Quality Inn on Jekyll Island Ga, that was not fit for a human to stay in. They catered to animals (pets that is) and not people. This place should be torn down. We got up early and left, my husband has lung issues and I was concerned that he was being exposed to mold. The smell was gross. This place gives Jekyll Island a BAD Shadow. I will never stay at any of your properties again. Wall paper falling off the wall, cracks in the walls, bathroom fixtures are very stained and dated.

  • Quality Inn and Suites, Tacoma, WA

Problems that we experienced during our four-night stay:
    No towels, TP, hair dryer, or stopper for jetted tub when we checked in. (We requested a hair dryer but never received it. Never received tub stopper either.);
    No light globe in the single lamp in the living room when we checked in (very dark room even after we received a light globe);
    No room service on any day until we specifically requested it (then it was cursory at best);
    Coffee supplies in room (coffee, sugar, creamer, etc.) never replenished;
Trashy hallway carpet (it was never vacuumed).

    Problems with complimentary breakfast:
    Area where food is obtained is very crowded (4 or 5 people fill it);
    Ran out of food one morning;
    Coffee pump pot was too high for a short person to reach;
    No eating utensils set out for guests (had to ask for utensils);
Not as many food choices as we have found in other Quality Inns (no bread for toast, only one flavor of muffin, no hard boiled eggs).

Positives: Very attractive lobby; Front desk staff polite, courteous, and tried to be helpful.

    We won’t return.

  • my wife and i had occasion to stay at the quality inn in the city of osage beach mo and we were treated like royalty there. the place was clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful especially becky, courtney, and debbie stanford. if you are thinking about a trip there this is the place to stay

  • Quality inn in steamboat springs CO.

The staff are extremely rude and loud. The waffle batter is expired! The fruit is rotten! And the rooms smell like insecticide! If your going to treat for bed bugs, then do it right and treat the whole building! Not just a couple rooms! Quality in is not quality!

  • The hotel is just fair and in need of simple maintenance. Torn dust ruffle, and lampshade that wouldn't even stay put on a lamp. The worse part was, we stayed 3 nights and ended up with 10 charges on our credit card! They were only "pending" but it still freezes the monies on the account. Yes, our account had $773.00 against it, and yet our total bill was only $306.00. Thank goodness we had plenty of credit, but this could sure mess someone up, if you aren't prepared for their bookkeeping. I found this highly suspicious, so beware!!!
(received a reply from the Mgr. stating we used a debit card, which we did NOT! I would NEVER use a debit card which I could not dispute charges. You have some shaddy business going on at this hotel!!

  • I stayed at the Mt. Dora, Florida location on 1/08/16, had reservations for the 8th and 9th. I should've checked out immediately, however I didn't notice just how bad the room was until bedtime and most of the problems the next morning. I have pics and video of my complaints but unfortunately cannot figure out how to post them in this feed. I had to stick my hand in the tank of the toilet bc the flap was broke and it just kept running, actually the loudest running toilet I've ever hear. I tried contacting front desk late that evening but they wouldn't answer the calls, the next morning I was told there was nothing they could do about it until maintenance got there at 10:30 and their only suggestion was for me to shut the water off and I received a pathetic excuse of an apology. I couldn't take a shower that morning bc I turned the water on to heat up and was left with standing water in the tub. I specifically rented the room bc of the jacuzzi tub due to my neck/back injuries plus the 8.5 hour drive to get there but was unable to use it due to the built up grime/mold in each of the jets. They claimed that there had been no previous complaints on the room and they had no idea, I find this very hard to believe. The room was disqusting and unfit for rental! I was there for my nieces wedding and to see my dad which I hadn't seen in two years. I had a lot on my plate already and did not have time, nor should I had to deal with the hotel situation which I didn't have time to address until 4pm on 1/9, I showed the pictures, lodged another complaint, checked out and had to find another hotel which made me late to the rehearsal dinner. Corporate office acted like the hotel did me a favor by not charging me for the 2nd night bc I didn't check out until I returned to the hotel at 4pm. They have offered me 800 points on a rewards card that I had signed up for with my reservation. I declined their offer stating that I do not wish to stay with them ever again, that all I want is for them to cover the charge for the only night that I did reluctantly stay there. Corporate said the hotel which up to this point the manager was in-reachable which is why I had to go through corporate has 72 hours to contact me to resolve this issue, if it's not resolved I get the added luxury of re-contacting corporate, which by the way I was on hold for 15 minutes on a 30 minute call before being able to speak with customer relations. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel, fortunately the only time I've had to deal with a situation like this but unfortunately was such a bad experience that I do not wish to travel anytime in the near future. I was there for what should've been a once in a lifetime, extraordinary experience with my nieces wedding! Regretfully the entire hotel experience took away from that and I ended up spending way too much time with this weighing in my thoughts, mood and time. I'm ready to have this resolved, be done with it, move on and Never deal with this corporation again!

  • I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with a night at the Gresham Oregon east quality inn. On Christmas Day, I noticed my bank account was charged $350 on top of the $95 I paid to stay here… When I called I was told that we smoked in the room and was treated very rudely. First of all, I am 36 years old, I work in hotels, I know to never smoke in a hotel room. I contacted my bank to contest the charges as well as personally went into the hotel to speak with the manager. My boyfriend and I explained to him that we would never do that. We also said that we would never jeopardize having to pay such a fine as we were in the process of saving that money for an apartment. Here's where it goes from a little insulting to extremely unprofessional. I began emailing with Greg Martin, the hotel manager, when he began stated that I would say anything I found necessary to get out of paying the fine, because I am in a financial crisis?!?!? I have literally stayed in some of the top hotels in Oregon, I have stayed in some of the not so great hotels in Oregon, this experience has been by far the worst I have ever dealt with. I am in the customer service industry and by the way this manager has interacted with me reminds me of how not to treat guests or anyone for that matter. I am completely appalled.

I have read in other reviews their lack of rectifying other situations where they took "fines" that were not authorized. It seems to be a theme for them most likely due to lack of business. To top all of this off, my boyfriend and I were sick for days from their continental breakfast.

  • Stayed at Comfort Suites in Midland, TX on way to Arizona the weekend before Thanksgiving and the experience was so GOOD we stayed there again on our way back through the following week. Great rate, very clean and neat facilities, welcoming staff both trips (two different employees at desk)! Keep up the good work and make sure the manager of that facility knows they are doing it RIGHT!

  • Booked a room at the Comfort Inn in Hobart, IN for the nights of 10/23/2015 to 10/25/2015. While on my way there on 10/23/2015 I was involved in an accident on a major highway around 5:45p. My truck was totaled. I called comfort inn around 6p and told them what happened. They still charged me for that night. I even had explained that I still needed the room for 10/24 and they held it for me but charged my debit card early in the morning. on 10/26 I called corporate trying to get my 1 night refunded and was told that it was up to the hotel to do that at their discression. I explained that I had did that Friday and was moreenless brushed off. Sad to say… I'm out of my money and a truck. I won't stay at any Choice Hotels and will NOT recommend them to anyone and I belong to an organization that is nationwide. When we all come together we flood hotels, but Choice Hotels will no longer be one of them.

  • my family and I stayed at the quality inn in Homewood Alabama. HORRIBLE. Itsa disgrace to your name. The bedspread was extremely stained and nasty as were the sheets, towels, and all linens. Including the carpet. It smelled and was so loud all night we couldnt sleep. The food the next morning wasnt any better. Sour milk, warm boiled eggs, just disgusting.when the staff was informed they were rude to say the least. I will think twice before staying at another quality inn.

  • Quality Inn, Robinsonville, MS, 9/26/15
Hotel appeared nice when we first checked in, clean lobby, nice set up for breakfast bar, roomy. We got to our room. Room was nice but hair in the bathroom shower. The last several hotel stays at varies places have had the same problem, so one tends to think this is a new norm.
The biggest problem is that you could not regulate the air conditioner/heater. Temperature yes, fan motor no, so the unit cut on and off all night long and was not quiet about it. I did not sleep at all. My husband and I both had a terrible next day. It ruined the whole trip. I complained the next day to hotel staff that there was a problem with the ac in our room explaining what happened. I was told that all rooms were setup with this economy system and they receive many complaints about it, apparently to deaf ears.
I chose this hotel on the reviews. It would have lived up to the rating if not for the lack of sleep. I could have slept in my car and got the same result and a lot cheaper. I wish other guesses would have mentioned this in the reviews, I would have chosen another hotel.
So other potential customers, you are warned

  • We stayed at Quality Suites Universal South in Orlando on 09/26/15. Where do I begin on how HORRIBLE this hotel was? It was the first time me and my fiancé were able to get away in over a year for the night. When we checked in we saw the hotel was under renovation which we were never told about. We picked this hotel due to it having a beautiful pool, hot tub, and tiki bar area. I noticed a sign at check in stating the pool and hot tub were closed. I said why wasn't I notified of this? I would have never have stayed here. They offered us a room several miles away that didn't have the amenities that this hotel was supposed to have. I went ahead and checked in, big mistake. The desk was filthy along with the TV stand, there was approximately 4 inches between the air conditioner unit and the bed which made it next to impossible for my fiancé to even get onto his side. The bedding was dirty with other peoples hair along with foreign hair being found wrapped up in the towels the next morning. We tried to take a nap before we went out for the evening but the pounding from the construction kept us from doing so. We were woken up at 5:30am by a woman who was screaming like she was being murdered. The front desk knew nothing about it. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there were none available, I was given a card and was told to call her the next day, which I did. I had to leave a message and no call was returned. I called twice today, had to leave another message the first time and the second time I called the phone was answered and immediately was put on hold, no "Thank you for calling, please hold". After being put on hold approximately 7 or 8 times the assistant manager finally comes on the phone. I told her the whole situation and was told since we paid in cash she could not refund what we paid for the room. Instead, she said the only thing she could offer me was 20% off on our next room. First of all, I would NEVER stay at this hotel again!!! Second, I told her I would be contacting corporate. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I stayed at the quality inn and suites in Hawkesbury along with several of my wedding guests. After having several mistakes with my parents and my guests reservations and a few staff being rude to Patrick and myself, my parents and my guests several times over the past 6 months, we received two hall rentals for free. We were still upset but we were willing to let things go but dinner came along that night and they made 3 of my guests sick and almost killed a fourth. (We had made arrangements for 8 dinners out of 30 to be allergy specific. The meals were made properly but the serving staff gave them to the wrong people even after the guests confirmed which meals they were having and even after I spoke to the serving staff about which guests had special plates. 3 guests asked if it was gluten free and the staff said yes and another table asked about tree nuts because he's highly allergic, the staff said no there's no tree nuts in there, left, came back after he already took a bite and said "oh, there's actually walnuts
