Kia Frustrating Unresolved Finance Issues

April 9, 2025

Kia Financing is terrible! My car was financed through Kia Finance in my wife’s name only because the dealership said that if I were on the contract Kia would charge me over 12% interest on it. My wife is a very ill woman and within two weeks later the Kia Dealership redid the Finance contract with Kia Finance and our interest rate stayed the same. on 12-19-2024 Kia Finance received the new contract but never sent the state North Carolina Division of Motor vehicles a copy of the Title so the car could have a registration with both our names on it. 3.5 months later and over 30 calls with kia and they still can’t resolve this issue. I will never recommend anyone I talk to, to buy a Kia Car ever again. Jessica Castro has had her team working on this with no results. Word of mouth can make or break a business from succeeding and if this matter isn’t corrected soon I will become Kia Motors worst enemy and that is not a threat but a promise, to let everyone to buy American. The Kia Sportage we purchased is a great car but the Finance department is the worst ever to deal with.

Kia Sorento Disappointing Clock Issue

March 13, 2025

Kia Extremely disappointed. I am very disappointed in Kia Customer Care, Kia Connect and now corporate. I have been having the same issue since I bought my car 12/31/23, and have been given inappropriate suggestions as a solution. I live In Arizona across the river from Nevada, I have a 2023 Kia Sorento and have ongoing issue with the clock changing whether it is daylight savings time or not, I cross state lines twice a day and my clock keeps changing. I have submitted tickets for help and have been told to take it to a dealer, which I have and when they set it there as soon as I cross state lines it changes again, and even told “trade it in and get a different car”. I have requested to submit a ticket to software engineers to create an update to allow us to either select a specific time zone or when manually setting the time it stays, but i am told there is no way to do either of these. I am told it is a factory setting and every time you start the car it will revert to factory settings which is terrible. I then called corporate to try to submit a complaint and of course they send me back to Customer Care, and the run around continues. I understand for many this is not an issue, but see many of the same as my car here locally and I’m sure I’m not the only one annoyed by this. Kia doesn’t care what the customers problems are with their vehicle. I will Never buy another KIA, this is in no way a reflection to the dealer or salesman I bought from, they were great, too bad they sell inferior vehicles.

Kia Customer Service Issues

February 25, 2025

Kia, Advised by Kia service to go elsewhere as it will be cheaper!. Christine Mitchel Attachments Wed 5 Feb, 14:55 to marketing My 2012 Kia Rio which has been serviced regularly at the centre developed a problem with intermittently losing gears 1,2and 4. I took it into the service centre for some help, after explaining the problem to your agent, I was told they were extremely busy, and the car would have to have a diagnostic survey at a cost of $180, but it would be a few weeks before they could fit it in. I explained it was booked on the 15th Jan. for a recall fault, the agent said they would run the test then. I dropped the car off at 9am on the due date and was told they would ring me when it was ready. That afternoon your agent, David, rang me and said the test had shown the fault to be in the wiring, which would take about four hours to trace at a cost of $800 [$200 per hour, I’m not sure if doctors get that sort of money] he went on to tell me I would be better taking it to M1Auto for diagnoses, I thought this was a bit strange, but rang M1 to be told there would be a $200 fee, I explained Kia had supplied me with the fault code and where the problem lay, didn’t matter they would have to carry out their own test. Now this is not the first problem with this service centre. I decided to email the Australian head office, only to find it is not published, so I rang them. I was third in the queue, after half an hour I was first, then I was told they were experiencing an unusually high volume of calls and to press one and someone would get back to me, that was an hour and a half ago, and I am still waiting. Maybe an idea to reduce your sponsorship and hire some customer service staff. I will enclose a copy of the report from the service centre, and note David made no mention of the fact the gear fault was intermittent. I checked a couple of Kia blogs, and this appears to be a fault experienced by more than a few Kia owners, I find it surprising none of your highly skilled [based on their pay rate] mechanics are aware of this. Problem. I would appreciate the email address of the Australia head office and the name of the person best suited to handle this problem, as I do not have another afternoon to waste on the phone.

KIA EV6 Excellent

January 30, 2025

KIA EV6 NACS adapter. Hi. Just want to say I love my EV6 and upon writing this review I have had no Issues since buying in June 2024. There are other owners who cannot say the same and rectifying those issues should be of your highest concerns. Owners have learned that there are a select few who would be provided with the NACS adapter based on purchase date. We do know that it may be an expense providing to more owners, but it should be as we are customers as well and a cutoff like September 2024 is just a little arbitrary. Maybe coupons against purchase price and or increasing the range of owners who can qualify so that we all feel welcomed and cared for as customers and welcomed in the KIA/Hyundai family. Thank you so very much.

Kia Telluride Burning Oil Issue

January 17, 2025

Kia, Telluride, issues with oil burningI learned the hard way that my Kia Telluride was burning through oil. I have read that other people have had this issue and that Kia should offer solutions for Telluride owners. Please research this topic carefully before you buy.
