Marshalls, Waiting in line! Have a huge problem with long lines at your store and one or two checkers at the checkout. Very frustrating and disrespectful to customers.

Marshalls Oak Lawn IL Disappointing Experiences

May 9, 2025

Marshalls, Scared to be confronted again. Oak Lawn store manager is ok with a homeless man confronting customers outside 9621 S Cicero Ave, Oak Lawn, Illinois, IL 60453 store. The man asked me for money 2 days ago when I went there to buy a pair of shoes. When I left the store and brought the store employee with me to stop the man from confronting customers, the man yelled at me and said I should die… Today. I needed to exchange the shoes and was afraid to go past the man at the door so I asked the police to assist and ask him to leave – police did that and the man came back 1 min later. – so after I exchanged the shoes I asked the manager (Lesley) to ask the man to leave. She said no they are fine with him out there. I called the authorities again and they confirmed that the manager said it was fine he be out there begging customers for money. When I was on the phone with the authorities a security guard from the store came out of a back room and walked past me and the manager. I as the manager who he was. She said he was going on break. This situation there is ridiculous. Please Fire that manager for putting customers in harms way.

Marshalls Frustrating Online Order Issues

January 17, 2025

Marshalls, Suitcase Never Arrived. Poor customer service. I ordered a suitcase at the beginning of the month and it shipped on January 7th with a gift card. Suitcase never arrived. Called on 15th and was told if the suitcase didn’t arrive by January 17, to call back and they would refund me. Called back on the 17th as suitcase had not arrived. Talked to 4 different customer service agents and after explaining my issue they said that they could either charge my credit card or send a gift card in the mail. I politely explained that I really wanted the suitcase I picked out and that I needed the suitcase by January 21. They refused to reorder the suitcase and that my only option was to wait for the gift card to arrive in the mail. I suggested an e-gift card. They said they couldn’t do that.

I suggested to just reorder the suitcase using the money I had already paid. They refused. I suggested to credit my Marshall’s online account and I could just reorder it. They refused. I tried calling the corporate office and explained my situation to the operator and that I would like to speak to someone higher up. She transferred me Back to Customer Service. I have no options and I can’t understand why they just can’t reorder my suitcase for me. I am very frustrated, confused and angry. I feel this situation should have been resolved the first time I called and I would have had my suitcase in time.

Marshalls Disappointing Shopping Experience

January 3, 2025

Marshalls, Clearance items. I Went to Marshalls on Lindbergh in St. Louis County, Mo and I see two identical shaving kits literally identical one had the price of $6.50 and the other one was $10.00. I was puzzled as to why the difference. So, as I was checking out, I ask about the price difference as they are the same item and can I get the lower price for the $10 one. The response I was given “The $10 shaving kit is newer than the other one so that is why it is priced differently. I said that is the craziest thing I ever heard. The Floor Lead to whom I was speaking with said do you want it or not? I did buy both and I can tell you from that interaction alone I will never shop Marshalls again. I love the store and I have shopped TJ Maxx and Marshalls for a long time, but this visit really left me feeling different.

Marshalls Overstock Issue

October 29, 2024

Marshalls, Dangerous overstocking. I love the Marshalls/Home Goods on FM 1960 @ 249 in Houston. But I can’t enjoy it anymore for fear I will break something or something will fall on me. The aisles are overstocked from the bottom to high shelf. It’s truly an accident waiting to happen then probably a law suit. Please don’t let this happen! It’s obvious that you need to find a bigger place. Fix it so I won’t worry about getting hurt by a falling dish etc.
