Frustrating Experience with Michaels’ Customer Service. I’ve had an ongoing issue with Michaels for over a year regarding a credit card I canceled, yet their system still shows I have one. I can’t use it, don’t know the number, and the store can’t issue a new one because their computer says I already have one. The bank advised that the store manager call to verify my identity and resolve the issue, but the manager refused, citing store policy. The bank insists the store must make the call, leaving me stuck in a frustrating loop.

Additionally, the online ordering process has been difficult, with unfamiliar websites for selection and rejected coupons. Their rewards program is disappointing—I spent over $110 and received just 27 cents in rewards, and I constantly have to follow up on missing rewards. Customer service has been no help, and the lack of accountability is beyond frustrating.

Michaels Self Serve Checkout Issue

Michaels, I see you have opted to go the way of others and put in self serve check outs. I get the impression you do not want people to visit your stores. I am an older generation and when I was a cashier I had to take a course to become one. I learned how to look after the customer, to push all the correct butt ons for customers purchase and put it in a bag. I would not have thought to ask the customer to use the cash machine to make their purchase. The young people who do this job now have no respect for the custmer, they have no clue how to give change without looking at the machine as to what the total change is. So because you have no respect for the customer I will not be setting my feet in your store again, not even on-line purchases. so good luck with your self serve machines. Do not send me any.promotions ir coupons I do not want them as As I said I will not be going to your stores and I will not give them to amyone else.

Michaels Laveen AZ Incredible Customer Service

Michaels, I was at the Michaels in Laveen, Arizona this past Sunday, I could hear a lady all over the store asking customers if they needed help, then she approached me to ask if I needed help finding anything, I told her what I was wanting to do, and she actually helped me shop for everything I needed, but what was amazing was the passion, her input to help me make my project for my daughter girl scouts. I will post pictures when I complete my project. I just did not want to forget the amazing service I received from Maribel. Her energy was contagious.

Michaels Disappointing Customer Service

Michaels, Nonexistent customer service. My order was time sensitive. It made it to Iowa just 3 hours from my town, and then disappeared. It then was found in Louisiana. By then it was too late. I was told, by the only customer representative I ever connected with that I should refuse delivery and when the supplier received it, I would be reimbursed. It hasn’t happened after almost 2 months. Since then, all phone numbers have gone unanswered. There is no “customer care ” at Michaels.

Michaels – Disrespectful and Unhelpful Service On 12/11/24 at the Cypress, TX store, I experienced some of the worst customer service I’ve encountered. As an Instacart shopper trying to locate an item for a customer, I sought help from an employee, Lyn. She gave vague directions but refused to assist further, citing a store policy against helping Instacart shoppers. Her response was dismissive and discriminatory, disregarding the fact that customers using delivery services may have disabilities or other challenges. When I asked to speak with a manager, Sydney, she supported Lyn’s unhelpful stance and eventually pointed rudely toward the item without genuinely assisting. Their lack of professionalism and insensitivity were appalling. As a longtime Michaels customer, I’m deeply disappointed by this experience. It reflects poorly on the company’s values and approach to customer service. I will no longer shop at Michaels and will share my experience with others. Michaels must do better to train employees to treat all customers with respect and empathy, regardless of how they shop.
