  • Would like to thank the staff of Firestone in Hattiesburg Ms including store manager Elmer Broomhall, for saving our family vacation! My oil pump sensor shot to 80 then to 0 and we made it to the store at 0700 on Christmas Eve morning! Not only did they have the part but they got us back on the road in less than 3 hours. Thank you from the Mouille's for saving our vacation ESPECIALLY since I had EVERYONE'S luggage in my truck! Thank you Elmer and Firestone!

  • RE: Damage Done By Your Mechanic

    Dear Sirs & Madames,

I live in Sacramento and my wife and I have been doing business with Firestone for years, always with satisfaction and good service. Unfortunately, until recently.

On October 27,2021, while on vacation in Oceanside, California, I took my recently purchased 2010 Lincoln MKT (that had a noise coming from the right front) into the Firestone shop in Oceanside for a checkup of the noise. Ernesto, the service manager said he would need 90 minutes to check it out and it would cost $9.99, a special. I returned after 90 minutes and unfortunately Ernesto was doing an interview and only had a minute to talk to me. He said he was waiving the $9.99 fee because he had no time to talk to me. He asked me for my email address and said he would email me their findings and an estimate for repairs, which he did. They are attached for your review.
The work order said the bushings were bad on the front lower control arms and needed replacement for a total of $1007.98 not including the alignment. I thanked Ernesto and told him I would have it fixed at Firestone in Sacramento when I returned home. He assured me the car would be fine to drive home some 550 miles. I made it home okay but upon inspection, what we found was very disturbing and frankly, scary. When my mechanic pulled the wheels off, he noticed right away that the axle nut on the front right side was missing. On close inspection, he could see that the rust created on the axle threads and wheel hub were only a few days to a week old – that's how we knew the Firestone mechanic failed to put the axle nut back on after inspection. The result was that considerable damage was done to the threads as a new axle nut would not go on and there was also damage done to the knuckle. Due to no axle nut, the axle/threads/the mount and the knuckle all moved around during the drive home causing the various damages to the axle which had to be replaced. The cost of the nut ($9.69 ), the right front axle ($161.61) the 2 bushing c arm frt lower mount ($116.45) and the labor ($200.00) for a total of $487.75. Work order estimate and all receipts are attached. I am not including the cost of the two lower control arms which needed replacing as they were not damaged through the negligence or fault of your mechanic.
Under the circumstances, I would expect Firestone to remit $487.75 forthwith due to the damage caused by your mechanic's negligence and failure to put the axle nut back on, not to mention the emotional distress it caused my wife and I. It could have been a whole lot worse.

  • ROSEVILLE, MICHIGAN IS THE WORSE. I HAVE PAID OVER 1400 AND NOTHING WORKS. AIR NOT WORKING, CAR STALLED AFTER NEW BATTERY. BRIAN THE MANAGER IS A COMPLETE ASS. • Went to your location 2005 Tustin Santa Ana with check engine light on car running fine asked Joe to put it on code reader refused says needs full diagnostic $100 I told him I think he is taking advantage of me because im a girl and he said not only will he not put my car on the code reader but is telling his employees not to help me even tho they tried then he told me to leave. Told him I was calling corporate and he said who cares?? The regional manager just happens to be an old coworker buddy and covers him. Pete the regional manager called me n I missed he call. Called back at 1pm and left message returning call and call me. It has been over a week now and no call. This Joe has no business in customer service and what manager in his right mind tells customers to leave? I went to autozone read the code $20 part fixed. I will not be going to Firestone with this Joe Mr. Power trip working there!!!

  • DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR FOR A TUNEUP TO STORE #006653 995 MIDDLE COUNTRYROAD SELDEN NY. ALL I WANTED WAS A BASIC TUNEUP THEY CHARGED ME $1700 FOR REPAIRS NOW MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON MY CAR RUNS HORRIBLE AND THEY ARE NOW TELLING ME TO TAKE MY CAR TO THE DEALER. THEY CANNOT FIX!

  • I have purchased numerous sets of tires from firestone, different vehicles, have taken the lifetime alignment on my two personal vehicles. The last time I took both cars in to have tires balanced, rotated, and aligned on 1-28-2021, Blake was the so-called manager on duty that day. We had an appointment for 8-8:30am, got there at 8:10am, told him what again what I wanted done. They checked alignment on 2017, and bal.and rotated tires. Took 2012 in and aligned tires, Blake told me car was ready, handed me the alignment sheet, asked about rest of invoice showing bal and rotation, he said hadn't done it. So we had shopping to do, so told him we would be back later(this was at 10am, we returned at 2pm, car wss parked out front,(thought they were finished)asked Blake if ready he said no had not done rotation and balance, asked why and he said had other appointments (we had appointment but due to his ineptness work wasn't done) So Blake goes out gets my keys to the 2012 and throws them on the counter, I asked him if he was going to rotate and balance, so he took keys and we waited, another guy brought one of my tires in and said it probably needed to be replaced, it was approximately 3pm when they finished. I told him when we were finished that if I had been his district or area manager I would have fired his azz on the spot, but that's the end of that fine day. The real complaint is I had a flat on the 2012 and rather than drive 30 miles to Firestone, I had it repaired at my local auto parts store, I asked him why tire was wearing on the inside, he said it needed to be aligned. I then took 2012 to dealer to have a part replaced and the service manager came out and told me my tires needed to be aligned, told him no, then on same day took to other Firestone store in College Station, asked the manager what was wrong with my tires, he said needed to be aligned, that's when I told him I had lifetime alignment on them and Firestone in Bryan was doing them. So 3 different parties told me needs alignment. All four tires are worn on the inside where it is unnoticed unless you have tire off, the same on my wife's car. Outside thread is still good, but inside is almost worn slick. Have called Firestone C.S. several times and it's the same old story "someone will contact you in 48 hours", but after repeated calls no one has called. I am now in the process of filing a class action lawsuit as I believe this is Firestone's scam, get the lifetime alignment and they align them so it wears on the inside, where it is unnoticeable, then when you take it in they tell you you need new tires, another way of selling more tires. Anyone want to join me.

  • I just saw the commercial where you had everyone wearing the American burka. You normalize a lie. I will take my business elsewhere for the rest of my life.

  • I am currently getting a knew motor blower put in my 2008 Suzuki XL7 for my air conditioner to work. Inaddition a tune up is being performed for my 2008 Suzuki XL7 to run with knew oil and Spark plugs. Out of common courtesy they were susposed to fix the heater core and replace the thermostat. The heater hose and water pump in my 2008 Suzuki XL7 is replaced as new previous maintainance done. The repair cost me $1,200.00 This cost should had been included with replacing the heater core and thermostat to my 2008 Suzuki XL7 all for $1,200.00 therefore supervisors and managers of businesses need to take this into more consideration.

  • Hello,
I am working here in Colorado Springs for a service Cpmpany from SD and we have for years our vans at the Firestone Location South Acamemy/Astrozon. Today I was there and droped off my van with the request to look for the steddy blinking Engine Light on the dashboard and the service writer said: Sorry, Sir we cant make this repair anymore, because our engine mechanic quit and you have to bring your van to somebody else…………….. is this now FIRESTONE new policy ?

  • I have been talking to your Firestone complaint dept.(ref. # 1288238 ) last week and have been given a weak resolve to my tire problem.
Attached is the journey I have taken so far. I am very disappointment !!!

Imagine my surprise when I was told that Dry-Rot is no longer the proper word (replaced with Ozone), nor is it a coverable condition with tire warranties.
What a way to spin the warranty and save Firestone money – profit at the expense of the customer and the reputation of Firestone !!

I have 4 tires that have Dry-Rot (sorry OZONE ). When I purchased this Jeep, it had 43,339 miles. Since owning it, I have driven only 2,700 miles,
giving a total mileage of 45,739 – this total includes the 2,700 miles I have driven since owning it.

Previous to my current Jeep, I had a 2016 Jeep, which at the time I turned it in (after 3 years), I had driven only 14,000 miles on it with Firestone Tires.

I do not drive very much.So as you can see my driving mileage is very low.
Almost all of my driving involves serving my Veterans organizations and other 501C3 organizations in which I am a volunteer
and have been for many years.

As directed by your warranty department, I went to the Firestone Store in Mansfield, Ohio.
I made two trips: first trip was for the inspection of the tires and the second trip was for a resolution of my tires.

My first shock was the deterioration of quality of Firestone – tires and warranty.

My second shock was to find out that a 25% discount was all I was offered as a resolution to my complaint.

My third shock was to find out what the warranty really does for you and more importantly – what it does not do for you !!

Although I am a disabled senior, and regardless of that fact, this is no way to treat any customer who purchase Firestone tires and warranty.

Apparently, profit has become more important to Firestone than satisfied and safe customers.
One can not longer have faith in Firestone ?? How sad.

Could you help me to have a safe ride in order to better serve my Veterans and other 501C3 organizations?

  • I went to Firestone in Conroe, TX, I dropped off my car around 11:15=11:30am on Saturday, told them it wasn't a top priority, as I had other things to do and my ride was outside. I went in originally for an alignment, they called about 2pm that same day telling me they couldn't find my lugnut for my tires. I told him it was underneath my cloth covering with my spare tire, if it wasn't in there it would be in he glove box. 20 minutes later, I get another call from them saying they can't find it and that they searched everywhere. So I go up there go into the bay, into my car looking for this piece. its was EXACTLY where I told him the first place would be, with my spare tire. So I left again, and hour later getting a call saying my tires were bad… I knew they were bad but they could have lasted me another three days until payday. I went ahead and got two new tires to be done with it. My total ended up being $419 and some change. That following Sunday, I needed to drive to Hardin and Beaumont in the same day. When I got to Hardin I noticed my tire was a little low(brand new one)I didn't pay any mind to it because I thought it might be the weather, and my sensor light wasn't on. I drive home hearing a knocking sound coming from my back passenger side. When I got to my car Monday morning, my tire was getting very flat. I drove to the gas station(less than a mile). Filled up the tire with air and went to work. I called firestone asking for a manager, he told me when I got there to ask for him. So I did, around 4pm after getting off of work. When I asked for the manager, the employee asked if there was anything I needed….well.. THE MANAGER. He told me he was in a meeting and wouldn't let him know I was there asking for him. That REALLY pissed me off. I told the guy what was going on and all he did was take my keys and walk off. So I sat there.. then he asked what was wrong with the tire….after I told him. Before he walked away, I POLITELY asked if the knocking noise was addressed to the mechanics as-well, he replied with, "We are still working on the tire. We need to do one thing at a time." He came out an hour later saying the mechanic doesn't hear the knocking and for ME to drive the car with him in it. Um, why? the mechanic couldn't do it himself? I gave you my keys and brought it to your for a reason, something is wrong. I sat there from 4:14pm until 7:05pm(Closing), for them to tell me there was nothing wrong and the knocking was only a very small piece of plastic hitting something.
I thanked them and got into my car, As soon as I put it in reverse I hear a sound coming from the driver back side, I thought nothing of it, the car is a 2012, so it might have some noises. As I started to go down the highway it sounded like someone was following behind me in flip flops. I got out and searched for everything. I couldn't find anything. I thought nothing of it again and went home still hearing the sound. I made me relative drive my car to see if I was just hearing things, to no avail she said nothing was wrong. So today(Tuesday) I pull into work, there is a HUGE nail in my tire.. with chalk around in…SO, not only did they SEE the nail in my tire, they marked it with chalk. At this point I am Livid. I call again asking for a manger, I was told her wasn't coming in until 8:30am this morning. I explained what happen to the employee(Who was very polite and he helped me on Saturday) He told me to come back in I would be credited for a new tire, so today, I will be filling out a complaint with firestone and calling corporate today, if nothing is fixed.

  • My complaint is about Enrique Origel's extremely RUDE behavior with me. A year+ ago, I took my very old Honda in for some work. I was talked into getting a lifetime alignment package that I paid for. Shortly after getting the alignment package my Honda died so I never got a chance to use the package. So I asked Chris who was the manager at the time if I could transfer the alignment package to my new car (Toyota Prius C) He told me YES.

Today I brought my Toyota for tire rotation and alignment. Enrique was at the counter. I explained I have the lifetime alignment package that was transferred from my old car and that the prior manager approved it. I told him I never had a chance to use the package as the reason because my car died shortly after purchasing it.

Enrique Origel told me no way he would honor my package. He was very rude about it. He had the history of my service in front of him showing I was a regular customer and that I never got to use the package. So now I'm stuck with paying for an alignment package I won't ever be able to use because Enrique Origel say so. This is not the only encounter I've had with Enrique Origel …

Prior to that I took my Toyota for an oil change. Enrique Origel was the manager that day. I picked my car up at the end of the day. And noticed the bill was very low because they put the wrong oil in my car. I asked to have the correct oil put in my car. He told me I'd have to bring my car back the next day!! I didn't have time for that and was heading to Santa Clara. He complained his guy would have to work late etc..

I encountered Enrique Origel at Wheel Works as well with my old Honda. Under his supervision, I detected there were leaks in my 2 front tires. These tires were NOT inspected, they merely rotated them to the back. That same day I got an oil change at Firestone. There under Chris' management a nail in each of the back tires were found.

To correct this situation, I would propose that I have an Apology from Enrique Origel for being so rude to me.
And most importantly the Alignment Package I PAID for and never got to use, be honored for my new Toyota Prius C.

You can reach me at cell phone 408-307-0786 and email gretchen@cruzio.com.

  • Just wanted to share my 2 most recent visit to a Firestone Care Center in Summervile ,SC. The 1st time I had an appt. at the newest store at hwy 78 and berlin myers rd. about a month ago. Got there at 8am and did not leave until 1pm which nothing was done to my vehicle. I went there to get universal joints on my pickup changed. Came back the next day at 11am only to find out 2hrs. later that they still could not do the work I had asked for. So it was another wasted day. Now today I went to the location on old trolley road just to have a tire fixed for a slow leak, I took the tire off of my car and dropped it off for the repair, came back 3hrs. later only to find that it still was not ready and that it would be another hour and a half before they would get back to it. So I decided to take my tire and leave and get it fixed somewhere else, I got back home to put it back onto my car only to find that all of the air was out with no valve stem in place and also the weight used to balance the tire was removed. I put a new valve stem in myself pumped up the tire to the correct air pressure but I still have to get someone to balance the tire all over again. You really take a look at the kind of managers that you have running these two locations, hey make terrible decisions and act as though they could careless f you even come back. I have 4 vehicles that I have taken there on different occasions and never had this problem before. Something needs to be done and done quick before someone explodes into a rage. The current service sucks and need a huge improvement.

  • I want to give a shout out to the store manager, Braden, at the Firestone on Everhard Rd. Canton, Ohio. He was so helpful when I had a flat tire while traveling to NC.I first pulled off the freeway in Navarre and went to the nearest Firestone. It was very early in the morning and the sign said open. The guy at that Firestone was not helpful at all. He didn't even check to see if they had the tire I needed in stock. He said I needed to wait till they opened. I had 2 little children and a dog with me.I wasted 1 1/2 hours there before I was told he couldn't help me because he didn't have my tire size. That's when I found Braden. He was SO helpful and got me taken care of quickly so I could continue my travel south. Thanks Braden for your excellent customer service!!!

  • So I called their corporate number to complain, and while on hold, I'm scrolling thru their reviews, and it is OBVIOUS that they either don't care, of flat out CONDONE these thieves to increase shareholder profits. My experience was my car used a can of freon a year- slow leak. I asked them to top it off, and was told the compressor was bad. I asked Darron to just top it off, as it was VERY hot that day, I had just got off work and didn't feel like messing with it.( I am licensed, even though now with 134A, you don't have to be. )He replied in the most condescending tone- " You don't understand. THE COMPRESSOR IS NOT COMPRESSING" !! I didn't want to argue with the man, so I IMMEDIATELY went across the street to O'Reilys, bought a 40 dollar can of 134A, and put it in myself and was fine. They also tried to get me for a new condenser with the final bill around 1500 dollars. I got out of it for 40 dollars. LEGAL THIEVES! !!!

  • I recently took my car into Firestone because it was making a loud chirping/squeaking noise. My appointment was schedule for 11:30 so I dropped my car off at 11:00 and went back to work. I got off work at 4:30 and had a co-worker take me to pick up my car only to find out they had not even looked at my car. At this point I am frustrated because I was scheduled to go out of town the next day and I needed my car. After having worked an 8 hour day I had the pleasure of sitting at Firestone for another 2 1/2 hours for them to fix my car. $300 dollars later they tell me one of my pulley's were bad and so I pay to get it replaced. I get in my car and go home. I drive to work the next day and the noise is back ……. they obviously did not test drive my car before they gave it back to me. I couldn’t take the car back that day because I was going out of town. I called the shop back told them what’s going on and scheduled another appointment. After taking the car back the sales manager calls me to tell me “oh…. well the serpentine belt tensioner is going out and that’s where the noise is coming from” at this point I am hot….I just spent $300 for this issue and I was given the impression the problem had been fixed. This new issue which I believe was the initial problem is now going to cost me $930.91. Are you serious Firestone…..a total of $1,200???? I get there may not be an exact science to fixing cars, but not only did I receive bad service but you are basically telling me you fixed the wrong thing and now I have to pay an additional outrageous amount because you guys didn’t take time to test drive or wrongfully diagnosed the issue.
My husband and I have been Firestone customers for over 15 years, and it is very disheartening this industry thinks it ok to fix things that are not broken and push the cost down to its customers. I want to believe this was not the vision of mission that Mr. Firestone intended for his organization or customer base. I often wonder was it the fact that I was a woman dropping my car off. My husband is active duty military and we geographically live in two different locations. It’s really sad that I feel like I was taken advantage of while my spouse is defending this country. At this point I don’t know what to do. My car is still not fixed …..I would have even settled for some type of credit option where my previous expense could have been credited to this new expense seeing as how the problem was never fixed and it’s still making noise. At the end of the day every business has the potential is fail, it doesn’t matter if you have been in business forever. Organizations should pride themselves on providing quality service and if that is not the case they should at least attempt to ratify the situation while keeping the customer in mind, valuing that customer and understanding it is because of customers entrusting their service that keeps their organization afloat.

  • Paul Scott manager at Firestone 7752 Denton Hwy Watauga TX 76148 told me on Friday September 29th that he would issue a credit to my account by the end of the business day in the amount that I was charge for parts and labor for a master cylinder and brake flush. I have not received a credit to my Firestone Account. I would love to talk to someone at corporate about how I almost got killed twice when my brakes failed at major intersections after Firestone completed the almost $800 repairs. On my third visit to Firestone concerning the brakes failing after their repair they recommended that I have another almost $700 part replaced (They said there was a service bulletin out for my vehicle for that part and the dealership confirmed that was false information. So I feel lied to.) The part they recommended replacing (the brake booster) is perfectly fine as I had to take it elsewhere for diagnostics. They did not do an ABS brake flush, they overfilled the brake fluid and the reservoir was completely full to the top.
I've been a customer of Firestone for over 24 years and this year I have been treated horribly and ripped off by both local stores. I left a voicemail for Tim Barber at corporate on Thursday September 28th and still have not heard back from him.
I have am a single mom to two very young children and do not have alternative transportation. When I took my vehicle to Firestone for the original brake job one of the men working the counter told my 3.5 year old son he couldn’t have a drink out of the water fountain. He lied to him and told him that it was broken (we drank out of shortly after arriving to the store so I know it was not broken.) I walked my son over to the water fountain and told him to have a drink, then we spent the last 1.5 hours of our wait outside in the parking lot (This was in July in Texas). My children are half African………….
Also on my last visit I asked Paul Scott how did they know for sure if the master cylinder they removed from my car really needed to be replaced (since it didn’t fix the problem.) He first said “I’m not here to argue with you” and I responded with “I’m asking you a legitimate question” and I repeated my question, he said there’s no way to know…………

  • I recently took my Nissan Maxima to Firestone in Hackensack, New jersey to have the catalytic converter and front end exhaust pipe replaced. Upon receiving my car back I heard knocking toward the back end of the car and fluttering squeaking noise toward the mid front of it. I took my car back a week later and complained. They resolved the knocking noise by replacing a worn rubber piece ( why didn’t they replace it during the initial repair) and advised me nothing else was wrong with my car. I simply told them something was still definitely wrong because when driving the car you can hear fluttering noise and I suggested that they test drive it. They acted as if they were in a rush and never drove the car. Two weeks went by and the noise became more annoying so I complained again and brought my car back in. For a second time within a month’s time I sacrificed not having my car (an entire Saturday) to drive. Wasn’t very happy I had to keep bringing my car in for something so simple as an exhaust repair. Anyway, while they had the car I received a call and was told that my car was finally driven and in fact they heard the squeaking and fluttering noise and fixed it. I picked up my car and drove it for 10 minutes before hearing the noise again. I’m so upset I refuse to ever go back to Firestone. A few days later I couldn’t take the noise anymore so I got under my car with some WD-40 and sprayed where I assumed the squeaking noise was coming from and so far no more noise. Why couldn’t Firestone do that???!!!!! I’m in the process of taking it to Meineke to have the fluttering noise repaired. Firestone charged me $750 for their work and now I have to go pay more money elsewhere for fluttering noise that they said they fixed. Ridiculous!!!!!!

  • today my wife went to firstone dealer on Manchester ave.in l,a,with older 66 Plymouth for a brake job, after paying over 600.00 dollars on the drive home my heard a rubbing sound, after I test drove the car for ten feet,we took the right back,i saw the new brake drum they installed rubbing on uppercontrol arm,the service person told me their were 3 different types of brake drum,we have owned this for 20 plus years and I never heard of this, and we have has the brakes done several times.e.christian playa delrey,c.a

  • I visited the store in Union City, GA. The "store manager" was a complete jerk. He was very disrespectful and gave me attitude from the time I walked through the door. If you're having a bad day and don't feel like doing your job, CALL OUT. There was no need for him to be discourteous. Firestone, if you allow your "store managers" to talk your customers with disrespect, you're not the company to do business with.

  • Burned again at (TIRES PLUS/FIRESTONE) Palmetto Bay Location. Had power steering fluid leaking from reservoir area. Oscar (service writer) said it was the high pressure hose, needing to be replaced.. He originally quoted $179 to replace.. I hesitantly agreed.

After $54 hose ($18 online) was replaced, it still leaked, back next day, wasted another hour, took it home, still leaked. Returned three days in a row, still leaking. Third day (Oscar's) day off. I personally talked to the repairman and suggested he check the .25 cent rubber seal between the new hose and pump. YES!!!!!! It was the .25 cent rubber seal that was broken. He showed me the seal and replaced it with an old one from his tool box and apologized.. He did what (Oscar) told him to do..Replacing the hose was not required, no broken hose. I requested the old hose to examine and found no breaks. Oscar would not let me see the new replacement hose…. I accepted whatever at this point, I just wanted to get away from these people.. It was my call, my loss, I trusted Oscar's diagnoses, my mistake..

They offered me a free oil change for the inconvenience and I accepted. Next day I decided to check the oil just to make sure it was okay. It was 1 Qt overfull. I called Oscar, immediately took it back to be drained. He confirmed it was overfilled, took my keys and then told me I had to sign a statement saying I would accept, not following manufactures instructions of oil capacity, allowing one qt below manufactures recommendations. I told him (NO) please give me my keys back and I will take it somewhere else, I don't trust you…He (Oscar) refused to give me my keys until I sign a statement…Of course I refused to sign any statements and asked for my keys again (at least 5 times) he wouldn't even acknowledge me..I was about to call the police and he finally relinquished and gave me my keys. There were two other customers who thought this guy was mentally ill…They couldn't believe Oscars demeanor and attitude….One customer immediately left. She was scared of him. I took my vehicle a couple of blocks down the street to one of their competitors had it drained and replaced with the correct amount…This was not the first time I was burned at this location….I learned my lesson this time, never again..

    Never Again Customer,

  • Columbus Ohio/broad st….i bought a interstate battery (48M warranty)from firstone for my Mercedes ($323) in october 2016. February 2017 my car wouldn't start (battery low voltage)until you waited 5 minutes for the 2nd time sometimes the 3rd time. took my car to firestone to have the battery replaced (well within the 48M). walked back to work to wait on the service call. after 5hrs i received a call where the needed to test my EIS (elec igniton system)…no way, not risking them busting my manufactures warranty. i was told "well then you can pick up your car (not going to replace the battery). i walked back to firestone. talked with the rep. rep began to say maybe its the alternator (has nothing to do with the start up) or the ignition…but without me allowing them to test the EIS i was exempt for replacement per the warranty. i had to wait for them to bring my car around. the rep then walked to the bay maintenance area to see what was taking so long for the car. i then walked out the side door to see. i saw my car by the bay door, trunk open (battery location on mercedes) and charging cables hooked up to it. when i saw the rep walk back to the bay i hurried back inside. he said nothing and continued to work the invoice. i asked him why i saw what i saw. he replied "making sure we put a full charge on the battery." yeah ok. i drove away back to work. 2hours i get off of work and get in my car….no start! i called firestone….no answer. i made an appointment with mercedes. they did the EIS check. several low voltage codes (dating back when it first started)was revealed. i had them replace that junk battery and returned to firestone with the junk for a full refund. different rep questioning me about why didn't i let them do the EIS check etc… so they can replace that junk with another peace of junk. i told him i was not happy with how my service was handled. he proceeded to tell me how he investigated my initial complaint and that the junk warranty only covers replacement (which is what i wanted initially). i told him i was no longer interested in replacement. he proceeds to tell me "you need to cut your attitude," and i told him "my attitude is towards your organization!" bam i showed him the mercedes maintenance invoice "low voltage reading 1.6 out of 900v battery replacement required." then proceeds to tell me he doesn't have drawer cash to reimburse me. i told him to call corporate and have them cut me a check and provided me with the check #. wah lah the cash all of a sudden jumped in the drawer. bottom line, do not trust firestone reps to honor warranties without hassle.

  • You guys should really get your rebate stuff together. Had an oil and filter change done recently and when I submitted what I was given by my Firestone dealer by way of a receipt to obtain my rebate, I received a post card stating that my submission did not comply with the rebate terms as what not an "original receipt." Of course I sent in the exact piece of paper that the dealer handed to me and of course the dealer has no idea what the rebate offer required.

A "good deal" that makes the customer work beyond what is stated as being required and makes it next to impossible to comply with, is not a good deal at all.

  • I have taken my car to the Firestone in Troy, AL two or three times for my Air Conditioner. I can understand if you say, we don't specialize in AC or unable to fix on AC. Well I was told that they do, so being that it's right across the street from my job, I took it there. Well the first time, they weren't able to see why it wasn't staying cool, so they put some type of chalk on there and put in Freon to see if there was a leak, over time. Well it stayed cool for a few days, I took it back the second time, they discovered that there was a leak. I paid almost 400$ to have it repaired. Well that lasted for about one month, I took it back for the third time, they somehow discovered another hole in it (strange that they couldn't find it the first or second time) which they told me that it would be almost $800 to repair. I don't have that kind of money to continue to pay for the same thing. I was highly disappointed in the work with my AC, mind you I would take my car there every month for an oil change due to it being convenient. I am afraid for them to even check my oil now. I am highly disappointed in the sales team because that seem so nonchalant and unconcerned about my issue. It is safe to say, that they've lost a customer.

  • The dye detection thing is a scam, why can you see where dye is leaking but not oil. They didn't want to go thru with it because of exactly what has happened, you have talked about it. Anyone that takes more than a half hour for 1 tire isn't working on your car, and if they really took that long they should get out of the business.

  • There was a leak from my mini-van went to Firestorm Riverdale morning of Saturday September 10, 2016 to get it checked out. Was told by Noble/store manager in order to detect the cause of the leak there had to be an oil leak detection w/dye of which on that day they did not have time do. So Noble scheduled an appointment for Wednesday 9/14 @ 9:30am to have this done. Was given a print-out with the appointment date/service that would be done on that day. On Wednesday arrived 9:15am told the man at the desk the reason of me being there and also showed the print out. I was told that Noble had called earlier that morning told them not to accept any detention dye work for that day because they were behind. How can they be behind when they had only been opened a few hours? What?? I had an appointment for that very service. Did they not look into the computer to see who actually had appointments? What about a courtesy call to let me know instead of wasting my morning coming there also my son took time off his job to come and take me home so that I would not have to sit in the waiting area 5-6+ hours. So not only was my time wasted but also his. And to make matters worse was asked what day the following week could I come in. What I had to wait a whole week to find out what was leaking in my vehicle??
No, I did not make an appointment took the vehicle elsewhere. Result: Oil drain plug loose. Looking back at my service records July 23, 2016 had oil change Firestone/Riverdale. The vehicle had been leaking oil because the drain plug had not been tightened eventually this would have caused serious engine issue. I totally agree with all complaints against this facility.
On another visit purchased 1 tire it took 5 hours to have it installed. I was in the waiting area for that length of time.
A very dissatisfied/frustrated customer – well don't know if I will continue to be a customer

  • On Saturday, September 17, 2016 I brought my vehicle in for repair. I was promptly greeted by service adviser a service. He advised me of the repair needed on my vehicle, a cracked radiator costing $482.34. I agreed to the repair and paid via my Firestone credit card. After my vehicle was repaired and I got in it to test it out, I noticed that my air conditioner was not blowing cold air; which when I brought it in, it worked. I went back in to the store and spoke with a different service adviser. He asked could I bring it back for testing because it was close to closing time. I agreed. When I brought my vehicle back that same adviser asked how could he help me and I proceeded to explain why I was back up there. At that time, the technician came to the waiting area and explained that he replaced/repaired my vehicle and didn't touch the air, but he would look at it. Initially, both the tech and adviser made it seem as if I were to blame for the a/c not working. But, at least the tech offered to take a look at it. The adviser simply kept expressing how the radiator had nothing to do with the a/c, indicating that again, it's my fault the air didn't work. At that point I explained that I understood, one thing didn't have anything to do with the other, however, when I brought my vehicle in, the a/c worked and now it doesn't, so something needs to be done. After checking, the tech came to me and explained that the a/c compressor clutch was bad and he would fix it after the car cooled. The tech fixed the issue and apologized to me for the inconvenience, however, the service adviser NEVER ONCE apologized for my inconvenience nor, at the end of the transaction, thanked me for my business. I said, "thank you" when he handed me my receipt, however, I got the distinct impression that had I not said "thank you" for the receipt, he would not have thanked me AT ALL. I thought someone should know this person is the first representation for your Douglasville Firestone location. If I were a new customer, after encountering that service adviser, I can guarantee, I would not be a repeat customer.

    • I checked the auto parts for a radiator for my pick-up truck, 178 bucks, yeah you got a deal. How did he fix the clutch without charging you? A better answer is he recharged your system after letting the Freon out to replace the radiator, but even that should have been in the price.

  • I went into Fire Stone in Moreno Valley, Ca. and dealt with Service Advisor (02) Daniel.
I took my vehicle in for a simple ride share inspection. The worker there advised me that my car needed almost $1000 of work done before they could sign off on the inspection sheet. I took my vehicle and let them know I could have my husband change the brake pads and take the vehicle to get the tires checked etc. SO I made an appointment to take it back the following week after all the stuff got taken care of on their checklist of must do's. I took the vehicle back the next week and they looked at my car. Including taking my car to America's Tires for them to replace my tires in which Fire Stone stated needed to be replaced. America's Tires let me know my tires were still good and did not need replacing. So now I am back at Fire Stone and ready for them to re-inspect my vehicle and sign off on this ride share document and pay my $19.99 and leave. Well the service guy came up and stated "everything looks good but your tires are bad". I told him I had just come from America's Tires and they checked all my tires and said they were still good. The guy goes in the back to my car then comes back a few minutes later and shows me this nail now that's in my tire. Funny thing is that was not there 20 minutes ago. I told the service guy that nail was not in my tire and he threw the Inspection sheet at my and said 'FINE GO HAVE AMERICA'S TIRE SIGN OFF ON YOUR RIDE SHARE INSPECTION"! Then he tried to still charge me the $19.99 fee- I was not going to pay that fee after that. I took my vehicle back to Americas tires (now knowing I really did have to pay for a new tire and they removed the tire and measured everything and the way the nail was angled they stated that this nail was not in the tire as a result of running it over. They knew that someone had hit this nail into my tire. Because they knew this and they had just seen the vehicle they actually gave me a brand new tire with no charge.
I honestly have never felt so disgusted with a company. To intentionally hit a nail into my tire so that that facility makes more than the initial $19.99 charge is ridiculous. I drive my two daughters in that car primarily. I had my two daughters with me in the store when this all happened at Fire Stone.
A company should not be putting nails in people's tires intentionally to make an extra buck and they most certainly should not be placing peoples lives in danger for a couple extra bucks either- What if my tire blew after that nail was hit into it by one of your valued employees? If there is one thing I know its you do not mess with peoples lives or families. I am so disgusted.

    • You are dealing with criminals, I had five lugs stripped on one wheel, they think everyone is stupid, that has been about 15 years ago and I haven't been back since, so who won?

  • Firestone Tires Store #015199 in Rancho Cordova, CA: 06/11/2016

Today's venture was horrible. Took car in at 11:30 am. I wanted estimate on rebuild motor if needed, an answer to my check engine light, a tire repaired that had a nail in it, an alignment and rotation of tires since I have the lifetime alignment. I actually had to call at 5:30 pm to see what the status was. Was given a list of recommendations, I said I'm calling about the issues and not recommendations I did not get the answers but was hung up on instead. I was hot about having to call but come on. I get down to the shop and it gets worse. Not only did they not call to go over anything the didn't even do the things requested. The reason they said was because they needed the the rim lock nut to remove the tires. Well why didn't you call I asked again? It is (Was) in the car. OMG I am so upset! Going in to discuss it all next week with Johnny the manager. Oh and they had no acting manager available since Johnny was on vacation I was told. I only go in to their shop because I use a Firestone card. Time to switch back to Goodyear I guess. I'll leave update after speaking with Johnny. Maybe he can turn this poor review into a good one. We'll see.

    Firestone;

This is the continuation letter from my original letter to you on 1/28/16 concerning my tire purchase on 1//28/16.

2/19/16 Back to the Firestone store and spoke with James, tires still have a vibration. James and I went for a road test, James confirmed the vibration. James said that the tires might have been sitting in the back storage area for a while, and in the Florida heat, and the size of the tires they may have developed a flat spot. James said I will get a new set from the factory, and call you when they come in. (1 HR).

3/9/16 No call from James, so I called the store and spoke with James. He said that they had not arrived yet, but don't worry he didn't forget about me, and he would call me when they arrived.

4//12 Or 4/13/16 Still no call from James, so I stopped into the store. Alex told me that James no longer works there, that he quit. Alex knew of my troubles, and he said I will take care of you. He didn't have 2 new front tires at his store, but the Tampa store had them. Alex called Tampa and had them transferred to the Naples store. We made an appointment for Saturday 4/23/16 at 9am. (1HR)

4/23/16 Arrived at 9am, went to breakfast. Car was taken into the shop at 10AM. Car finished at 12:30. (3.5 HRS).

4/23/16 Tires still vibrating during a road test at 70+ MPH. Called the Firestone Customer service number 800-441-1669. The customer service found my initial claim (letter) I told them that I just left
with another set of front tires, and the same problem. Customer service updated the file and said that someone from upper management would be calling with in 24-48 hours. (30 Min)

4/26/16 Went to Firestone and asked the new manager to go for a test drive. He said that he couldn't leave the store, and could we do it on the 27th around 2PM. I said no problem, see you then. (1 HR)

4/27/16 No call from upper management. Call the 800-441-1669 customer service again. Told again, I will escalate and someone will call you with in 24-48 hours. (30 Min)

4/27/16 Took the car to Firestone, and Larry (Manager) went for a test drive. Vibration confirmed. Larry asked if I was set on FireHawks, and I said no why? Larry said when we get back I will see what other tires may work. Upon checking, there was nothing in the Firestone or Bridgestone line in the run flats for the read of the corvette. Larry said lets put one more front set of tires on the car, and see if that helps. I asked what if this new set also vibrates? Larry said at that point we will go outside the company and get a new set of tires. Appointment made for Monday 5//2/16 at 11am. (1.5 HR).

5//2/16 Took the car to Firestone at 11am. At 12:15 Alex said that they couldn't get me in for a while as they had someone on the rack that would hold my corvette. He said do you want to wait or comeback tomorrow? I said nope, I will come back. Appointment made for 9AM, 5/3/16. (1.15 HR)

5/2/16 Called Firestone Customer service again. Again told that they will send to upper management. They also gave me another phone number to call. 630-259-9631 Case #2175033. (15 Min)
5/2/16 Called the 630-259-9631 at 1:45PM. Called at 2:14 PM, and received a recording asking for my name, phone number, and case number. I left the information requested, and asked them to call me ASAP.

  • To be fair, the current store manager (Larry) is trying very hard to correct this. Also, Alex is great. Firestone Upper Management is TERRIBLE. When you call customer service, they take the information and they tell you someone from upper management will be in touch with in 24-48 hours, which in my case since 1/28/16 has NEVER happened.

Tomorrow is the final attempt Firestone has to correct this situation. I have contacted Fox news on your side, and they are waiting until tomorrow to get involved. I will also file a complaint with the BBB, and file a dispute with my credit card company for the payment for defective products.

I have been patient, but there is a time when patients run out, and after 17 hours of my time wasted, time has run out.

  • I put Firestone "FireHawks Wide Ovals" on my 2012 corvette on 1/28/16. I have had trouble with a bad vibration between 70-90MPH. I called the store with in 3-4 days of the purchase. It is now 5/2/16 with NO resolution. I have a case number from Firestone #2175033
Here is my second letter to Firestone today.

  • Also once i left i went to meet my family, stopped for gas. Car kicked it back at me after only putting in$21 from completely empty. Got into the car…it wouldnt start and the gas was at 3/4ths, so today im checking my gas tank to make sure theres nothing inside. i will not return. i want my $100 back since i agreed to $259 not $398.

  • I came to this location due to my car oddly not starting while at a local store. did not want to leave it there i had it towed to this location. i received a prompt call in the am with questions for more detail. (thinking they cared) Gave all the details i coud, told the Gentleman on the phone that i wasnt trying to spend a bunch due to a family event that weekend (this was a friday) and i believed it could be something simpke from what ive heard and read. Received another call back and apaarently i needed a new starter, was told $259 got there and ws charged $398, AFTER 30-40 Minutes of trying to understand WHY i was not told about this "$99 Diagnositcs Charge" & all they could say was "SORRY" With family family waiting on me i reluctantly paid instead of causeing a scene and beinglter than i already was. We did not get to enjoy our family weekend like intended de to paying an EXTRA $115. I was charged for a NEW starter and when i asked about the OLD one I WAS TOLD "WE SEND IT BACK TO WHERE WE GOT THE NEW ONE" BUT this was MY starter, so why didnt I get the core charge. So today im taking pictures to make sure i actually have a new starter. A Manager shouldve made this right. Especially when i commited to the lower price.

  • Went on line and ordered a full set of tires and set up appointment with Firestone store in Gilbert Arizona as instructed. Called them two weeks ago to confirm my appointment for May 2nd and make sure they had tires available. They said they needed to locate one tire but I gave plenty of notice so that would not be a problem. Called them yesterday and they said they had 3 available and they could not get me another one in time. What a screwed up company! Employee service was terrible. Sad my father retired from Firestone after 38 years of service! He would have been very upset to see such poor service!

  • I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, I took my 2003 F250 to get a safety inspection and a state emissions done. I was told a tie rod end was bad and quoted a price. Well I picked it up later that day and was told by the gentleman that it was not the tie rod end but the drag link and that it would be a little cheaper than originally quoted but I had to talk to the manager to get the bill fixed. Well I tried for about 2 weeks to get in touch with this manager and every time I called or went over there he was not there or in training. I posted on this web site right after that and even the Corporate Office don't give a crap about what the stores are doing as long as they are selling because NO ONE has tried to call me about this problem. I'm no coward and I will leave my number on this comment. I just paid off the balance and shredded my card. I will NEVER do business with Firestone again! Neal 801-503-2863

  • I went to firestone to get an oil change and headlight, and instead I got a car back with a bumper that was falling off, and check engine light a lot of car misfiring which it wasn't doing before, service traction light and now my oil symbol keeps coming on even though I got an oil change. TO SAY HOW MAD I AM IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT BUT I WILL GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO FIX THIS ISSUE BEFORE I GET IN CONTACT WITH EVERY PERSON IN THE CORP OFFICE!!! HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT SUCCESS IN THE PAST.

  • My son went to a firestone on a military for a brake job. The entire brake job was illegal and not up to current federal regulations. Pretty bad taking care of our your servicemen and especially being performed on a military base.

  • Took truck in for safety inspection at Firestone, Kaneohe, Hi at 7am this morning. After 1 hour of waiting, was told safety check is complete but they can't finalize it bc the "machine" is down. What machine? Told me not their fault, it's the state. State does not control safety inspections, the city and county of Honolulu is the registered office for all vehicle inspections. What the heck are they talking about? It is so easy to pass blame on some other office and I start to question whether it is true. Have a feeling the person on staff was late to work and no one else to authorize the inspection. That shop is notorious for finding fault in almost every customer and adds extra charges for menial stuff to make an extra buck!

Continuing my story.. Was told they would call me when to return..waited half a day with no update. Had hope that I would have ample time to go to work but their lack of customer service and consideration had me waiting for that call. Stopped back in to the shop and questioned status.."ready" and …coincidentally as I'm talking to the mechanic my cellphone is ringing from their shop…probably saw me coming and realized "oops, forgot to call the customer". Went back to shop with truck, waiting in the seating area and called to pay the bill. Told the personnel I wasn't paying the bill bc of the customer inconvenience..he went off, became obnoxious and started yelling in front of other customers, threatening to call his manager. Manager (think it was Delmar) came and asked what was the problem, told him "I'm not paying this bill", he said "ok, you don't have to pay for it", takes the bill and appears he threw it in the trash…without asking how to resolve or compromise on the situation. This indicates the manager lacks management skills in customer service and needs to know how to counsel his employees. I will not patronize Firestone again, taking my business elsewhere!

  • I live in Salt Lake City, Utah my local Firestone store just recently did some front end work for me. I was quoted a price and was charged a completely different one! The part they said was bad and stopping it from getting a safety inspection was not even replaced but I was charged for it. I have tried to contact the manager a couple of time but keep getting told he is not in. If this is the way Firestone wants to do business, you may not be getting paid what I was charged to get my vehicle repaired. You diagnosed the wrong part, charged me for the wrong part and lied to me about the original price quoted…. I am NEVER having anything done on my car there again! Like I said good luck getting paid!!!

  • My tires were previously changed by Bayshore Firestone,Somehow my tire lock was misplace. They order me another lock. last Monday I had a flat, I was told by AAA that the lock was wrong. I towed the car to the Massapequa store that was closer to me. After a long 2hrs on the road, the massapequa store did not help me.I was with Frank for an other hour discussing who should be blame for what happened. He was disgusting, rude, inpatient for someone in business. He does not represent the firestone that I deal with and refered people to me . There were customer who seem to be disgust of what was going on . He left me standing there at the counter and served them coffee to cover his behavior. He even walked one the customer to their car. I called a friend to help me after the store was closed. My friend was helping when Frank came back and reopened the store and two other people in other car. They pick up a car in the lot and left . Then frank closed the store again and stayed in his car until my friend patched my tire . I droves the car home that night and dropped it off at the Bayshore store were it was fixed.

  • I've had many experiences where I have needed a place to take care of my car – and Firestone has always been the place to come to mind. I have had experiences with 3 different Firestone locations and I have to say all 3 have been absolutely wonderful with customer service, professionalism and timeliness.

My first experience was when my sister and I were driving from Miami, FL back to Indianapolis. We were on the road and all of a sudden heard this crazy sound and the car went off track. We were able to make it to the next exit and was praying that there would be a car shop. Right there it was – Firestone. We pulled up and asked them to take a look. Of course the tires were old and in awful shape. Turned out we needed 4 new tires. We opened up a Firestone card and they took care of everything and got us back on the road and home to Indianapolis safely.

Because of that experience, I went home and we told our family about our trip back. My father was so grateful to hear that a company would take care of his 2 girls, in their early 20's, not having a clue about cars and all the way in Miami, FL. After that, our whole family started to take our cars into the Carmel, IN location. We have 7 family cars. Then, I started working for a company that has 3 company vehicles, and I convinced them to start to take the cars to the Firestone in Carmel, IN also. I have never had anything but wonderful service there. They are just as friendly as the Firestone in Florida, and they complete all of the work in a timely fashion to get you on your way.

I have recently just moved to Dayton, OH. A single female, in a brand new city. I left work yesterday and my tire was very low. I'm new to the area, so I don't know many places around. I took out my phone and literally prayed that there was a Firestone in the area. It happened to be 5 miles from where I was located. I drove there and went it. I said my tire is very low and of course I know nothing about it. Can somebody check it out. They said "Certainly, not a problem at all. Let's pull it around the back." So I pulled it around and the guy said, "Well there's a nail. But, we can get this fixed no problem." Walked back inside and the lady said, if you leave it here I will definitely have it done by time we close. I said I would just go wait at the restaurant in walking distance. Because she heard me say that, she asked them to get it done quickly and it was finished by time I was done eating.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anytime somebody asks for recommendations about anything with cars, Firestone is definitely the first thing out of my mouth. All of the employees there treat their customers with such high respect. I am truly grateful to know, whenever something is going wrong with my car (which by the way, is the WORST thing to deal with!), I know I am able to turn to Firestone for help.

Thank you to each employee for everything you do.

    Love, The Reid's

  • I have been doing business with Firestone for many years. There have been many times where I have had substandard work done. Today was the last straw. My wife took the car down to get tires installed and front end aligned. They told her she needed brakes and rotors turned (machined) on the front. I went out and pulled one front wheel off and had a look. The rotors looked shiny smooth and there was 1/8 inch of pads left, which is about half wear for my pads. I called the guy back and asked him why my rotors needed to be machined. He told me because they don't do partial brake jobs. What? Partial brake jobs? Did he realize how idiotic he sounded? Rotors should only be machined when there is damage to the surface, such as when pads wear down to the point where the back plate actually contacts the rotor. When this happens the metal back plate grinds grooves into the rotor surface. In fact, every time a rotor is turned, it shortens the life of the rotor because you are reducing the thickness and therefore diminishing it's ability to dissipate heat. Take too much off and it will overheat and warp. If you ever feel your brake pedal pulsing when you apply it, this is why. I tried to explain to him that my rotors are fine. According to him, they automatically turn rotors every time they change pads. So in essence what they are doing is purposely taking good metal off your rotors to shorten there life so they can sell you some next time. He kept talking over me and would not listen to me. When I explained the aforementioned to him he came back with a sarcastic attitude and said, "I suppose you are an expert", to which I replied, Yes I am, I have been a mechanic for 40 years, (which is longer than this kid has been alive). This is my last rodeo with firestone. There mechanics are incompetent with no integrity or quality standards.

    • By the way, this Firestone location is in the Corinth Hickory Creek, TX area on Swisher Road just east of I35. Here is the address. Stay away unless you enjoy getting taken.
      4151 Fm 2181
      Corinth, TX 76210-4213

  • I got my car state inspected and after driving less than 5 miles, check engine light came. i contacted firestone guys and now these guys are asking for money to check it. This is not good. I am very unhappy. Will never ever recommend you guys to anyone. This is location in Irving, TX, 75038. These guys are thug. Will create some issues in your car and then ask for more money…. Greedy

  • tried to charge me 1200 dollars when i just needed front breaks went to midas and got all the work done for less than 300

  • I went to the firestone in 5 times in the last two months. Every time it was in,something else was "supposedly wrong. I'd take my truck home and 30 miles later the check engine light would come on. I took it in again and paid $400 to fix the problem and the next week the light is on again with the same engine code as last time. Now I'm sure that they'll find something else wrong with it and try to charge me all over again just to have it break down on me again. I've spent over$4000 on my 1999 truck that is only worth $3000. Not only am I losing thousands on repairs but now I'm losing wages because I have no truck. Do you think I'll be compensated for that?

  • In July I had 4 tires replaced on my Lexus 350 by the Firestone on Barnum avenue in Stratford. Recently saw my tire light come on. It came on and off several times. I finally took it today back to Firestone to have it checked.
The attendant told me that it was only a change in temperature (without even taking a look at my car!). by the way, it is about 65 degree outside…. I told him that it was probably a faulty sensor.
That did not seem to alert him. He insisted that my car was fine and that my tires just needed pressure. Again without moving from his seat!!
I explained to him that I drive for a living (I am in sales) and could not just assume that my car was fine when the light kept coming on and off.
He still did not make any move to look at my car. I will send a letter to headquarters to make sure that there is a trace of this issue so if something happen while driving, Firesstone will not question the lawsuit….
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING ANY WORK DONE THERE.

  • I personally want to thank Chris Evans Firestone store manager along with technicians Andrew and Chris for taking care of my vehicle on Sunday August 30th @ 15:56 hours, after an improperly mounted left rear wheel(from my local tire dealer) snapped a stud off going 65 mph near Allentown,PA. They were courteous, and extremely helpful in allowing me to proceed on my vacation in a timely manner. Thanks again !!!

  • I was very disappointed with the service I received in St. Louis, MO. I paid $200 for a transmission flush on a Saturday and was not informed that changing the filter was a DIFFERENT SERVICE!!!! When I left, my car was driving funny and I took it to AAMCO for a free diagnostic the following Monday and they said my fluid was dirty and my filter needed to be changed. WHAT?! I called Firestone just to find out the filter change is a different service. I was offered a free filter but I would still have to pay for the labor! NO! Why would I do that? They were just there to change my fluid and NOW it is dirty AGAIN! I understand human error but when they had a chance to correct it, they are looking for MORE money! No I will not have my car at this location again!

    • People must educate themselves against this kind of thing, when they said 200 bucks you should have ask what that entails. After all a quart of transmission fluid cost about 6 bucks, be thankful they didn't find a lot of other problems that don't exist.

  • My son works for Firestone in Mckinny ,Tx and has not recived a check in two weeks, they had him fill out paper work when he was hired and i know for a fact he put the address were we live and they told him his check would be mailed to him , like i said he has not recived a check in two weeks, so what does my son do , he still goes to work every day and does his job. He has also told me that his boss is very degrading to him and has smart remarks toward him just for asking ?s. Then they tell him his check will be deposited into his Direct Deposit and again he has not seen a check in two weeks. Is this how Firestone really treats their employees . Firestone you need to make this right. Very, Very, Very DISAPPOINTED IN FIRESTONE

  • HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH FIRESTONE IN HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA, THEY HAD MY CAR FOR OVER A WEEK STILL NOT FIXED, CHARGED ME 2 DAYS IN A ROW FOR PARTS THAT WERE NOT NEEDED……….. THEN MY HUSBAND WALKED IN TO THE STORE AND THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT ME!!! RAY QUARTER & RUSS CALLEY! I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER

  • I had work done on my 1999.5 NISSAN PATHFINDER LE, I was very satisfied with the work and the customer service received. The wrong part was ordered for my PATHFINDER, I wanted a complete brake job done, including all fluids drained and a new booster and lines installed. This is where the wrong part was ordered. It was on a late Saturday afternoon and the parts place was closed. The manager at the Firestone rented us a vehicle until my car was ready. They rented from Enterprise, we drove a new Buick X-over with 214 miles on it. The rental was the finest car I have ever driven, the car was fixed and I was pleased. Considering my prior experience I decided to bring my car back to have my front struts and rear shocks replaced with the best – most comfortable money could buy. Also I wanted all the bushings replaced with the best – again I wanted the ride to be very smooth and comfortable. The job was quoted at $ 995.00. This included new struts – shocks – a front end alignment, and bushings. I paid the bill and my son drove the car home, and then to college. He called me and said he has a problem with the car and came home for me to look at it, the brake pads needed to be changed. While we were doing the pad replacement I was looking at the bushings and the struts – and shocks. I realized that these were OEM parts and FIRESTONE did not replace the bushings – struts – and shocks. I was extremely upset, I gathered the original receipt and called my Firestone. I spoke with the CSR and she said that I was wrong. After my wife called her she said to bring the car in and they will make it right. Problem is I no longer trust this location. Someone has my parts, because I don't. I hope corporate can get involved so I do not need to escalate this, my point is this, if I had paid this with a bad check or credit card I would be in jail, yet nothing will happen to them. Why is this true?
I hope someone can help me. The Firestone is located in BROOMFIELD, COLORADO ACROSS FROM THE FLAT IRONS MALL. THANK YOU

    • Except the loss, they will not make it right. They got me about 15 years ago and I haven't been back since, so who really lost?

  • THE FIRESTONE IN MILLER AND 137 MIAMI 1837 THE MANAGER IS REALY BAD HE THINK HE IS THE OWNER OF THE PLACE STAY AWAY FROM THAT FAT BOY JOEL

  • Ussually deal with the Franklin TN location but went to Brentwood TN location about a pulley making noise…..They told me it was the A/C Clutch and needed the A/C , Clutch, Condenser, Multiple Pulley's, AC Lines Belt…..all to the tune of $2200

Took it to a competitor and got the pulley I thought the problem to be originally for a couple of hundred bucks…….

  • I currently work for firestone. Never been late but one time due to power outage. Love working there. The store and manager is great. Recently put in for transfer and it was accepted and said to come on. Its been two days no work its the only job i have. I live pay check to paycheck like half of americans now days. The dm at the new location was a dick about things asking me personal questions and such. My manager from my old store contacted me and said that the dm here contacted them instead of me amd stated they had no room for me here. If that was the case why in the hell did theyapprove the transfer i . The first place im mad losing money the longer i sit and it had made me lose faith in the automotive industry all together. Cars are my life its what i do and i will get answers

    • I KNOW YOU FEELING I WAS FIRE FOR NOT REASON OTHER THANT 18 YEAR IN THE COMPANY DISTRICT MANAGER ARE REALY BAD PEOPLE THEY TRY TO GET YOU FIRE IF YOU WORKING TO LONG FOR THE COMPANY I JUST TO HAVE 3 WEEK VACATION AND A LOT OF BENEFICT THEY ARE ALL GONE THANK TO TONY RUFFINY AND ERNIE RECINO THEY ARE BOTH REALLY SCAM YOU TO GET YOU FIRE THANK YOU FIRESTONE VERY GOOD JOB

  • I worked for this horrible company for all of two weeks, shortly after quitting due to the reputation perceived with Firestone and the fact that every employee there was TERRIBLE! I was never payed nor at the least contacted for payment. I will be contacting the Department of Labor.

  • Firestone employees should be trained better before being allowed to work on anyone's vehicle. Went in to have a diagonoistics done(8-2-2014) and was told it was my distributor assembly($160.00) so I replaced it only to have the same problem so I took it back to the store in Austin, Texas and they kept my ride for 7 hours when I went to get my ride back the guy told me he could not properly diagniose it because he did not have the right tool, I took my ride to another mechanic and the problem was a $50.00 part(EGR Valve). I went to Firestone on Sunday 10-5-2014 to get a flat tire fixed(Kyle Texas) got there at 11am I waited and waited and waited finally the guy pulled my truck into a bay figured he was going to fixed my flat BUT NO he took the tire off and then walked away to pull another vehicle into another bay and proceeded to fixed that guys flat and just left my ride sitting, the other customer came in 2 hours after I had been there!!!! Needless to say it took them 3 hours to fix a flat—POOR POOR SERVICE!!!! TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!!!!

  • Had a appointment at 12:00 pm. Did not get my car until 5:30 pm. Five people after me came and picked up their car and left. I asked them for my keys they said we working on it. I looked in the garage and no one was working on it. I got my car back at 5:30 with no work done at all.

  • I've always had to wait for my vehicle repair rather than leave it. I was informed today I could no longer do that. I had to leave it and it didn't matter if I came when they first opened the next day since people drop off their cars the night before. How would they know they would have to many the next day for me to wait? Funny thing is I saw 2 people waiting on their cars. The location I go (went) to has changed management. I won't go back. Apparently they don't need my business and from what I'm reading here, it's for the best.

  • I WIILLLLLLLLLL NEVER EVER EVER GO TO FIRESTONE AGAIN. I FIGURED WHEN PEOPLE SAID DONT GO FIRESTONE IT WOULD BE A JOKE. BUT NOW I KNOW IT TO BE TRUE.. AFTER MESSING MY VECHILE UP. THEY NOW SUGGEST I JUST GET A NEW ONE. AND AFTER HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS THEY OFFERED 25% OFF WHAT THEY DID WRONG. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME THEY ARE A MONEY HUNGRY, ASSHOLISH, COMPANY THAT WITH NEVER TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR WRONG DOING. HONESTLY I THINK THE PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR WOULD NOT TRUST THEM WITH THEIR VECHILES. IN SHORT DONT DO IT EVENTUALLY YOUR CAR WILL CATCH ON FIRE AND ROLL OFF THE ROAD.

  • I took my 2004 Volvo s60 to Firestone on Sam Rittenberg Blvd. in Charleston, SC for an oil change and 98K service message that came on my message board, I was told that with paying $10.00 for inspection everything will be looked at and taken care of.Three days later I got a message that said low coolant. I added coolant and called Firestone and was told that they don't top off any thing but will advise if anything was low, I was not advised that my coolant was low. Today got in the car and the check engine light is on!!! What the heck is going on? Patrick signed and stamped and turned the my maintenance manual and turned the time for maintenance message off. I need resolutions and will never, ever recommend anyone to do business with Firestone!! I will seek resolution and will not pay another penny!!!!! Lesson Learned. I am Sylvia Carson. You may reach me, Frank Dorsey, Patrick or anyone in the corporate office at the information you all have in the computer.I just wonder if you all really read these complaints. smh!!!!

  • Hi, My name is Rita Cooper. Please help me and give me refund. I brought my car to get the air conditioning fix at Firestone on 8555 W Belleview Ave, Littleton, CO 80123 (Belleview and Wadsworth) in July. Nicholas Beck (STORE MANAGER) was helping me. I told him, my AC blowing hot air and no cold air at all. He told me that they need to fix one hose and fill the freon and charged me over $500 including the oil change. I dont need to fill the freon, I need to fix my Air Conditioning. One week later my air conditioning was out again. It's blowing hot air and no cold air at all. I came back two weeks later to get it fixed. AND GUESS WHAT, HE WANTS TO CHARGE ME over $1100.00 more and I already paid over $500. I ask for a refund because he didnt want to help me at all. He will charge me again $550 again for the labor to put the new AC Compressor. He said there is a leak in AC Compressor. They said they couldnt see it until some one has to drive it for at least 3 hrs. Why they didnt drive it the first place, because he said, they dont have time to drive around for 3 hrs. He didnt tell me this when I came there in the first place instead, he did unnecessary job and charged me about $500. I was screaming and yelling at him because I was so upset. Just because I am a female, he treated me like I am a money maker for him. He can charge me what ever he wants because I dont know anything about the car. I would like to get my money's back $500 because they didnt do what I came for. I came to fix my Air Conditioning and instead they did unnecessary job to get money for me. I always go to FIRESTONE on Simms and Ken Caryl and I never had problem. But because Belleview/Wadsworth location is close to my place now so I went there. TO THE OWNER of Firestone on Belleview and Wadsworth, Please refund my money. You need to hire a new store manager. Nicholas Beck is a liar and a thief. He stole my money, he didnt do the service I came for. He didnt even try to help. I dont have that kind of money to waste. My family were just in town and I had to drive them around in a Hot Car with No Air Conditioning because Nicholas Beck stole my money and didnt fix my air conditioning properly. Nicholas Beck ripped me off because I am a female. Please refund my money as I need it to fix my AC somewhere else. Thank you for your help.

  • I took my Mustang to Firestone in PA . The clown decided to write Mustang GT 4.6 L on the invoice . I don`t have a Mustang GT 4.6 L . I have a Mustang V – 6 , 3.9 L . I had two rear rotors replaced and I am sure the clown charged me For Mustang GT rotors . I would never take my motor vehicle to Firestone if it was the last place on Earth .

  • I went to a Firestone in Missouri and had tires put on my truck. A few months go by and I go to change my breaks and can't take my tire off, my lug nuts were over toqured and stripped so I go to 2 different Firestone's and they both told me it wasn't there problem that I would have to figure it out on my own. I used to love Firestone I live by there tires but after the service I got never again will they get my money worst customer support I have ever had

  • My experience was with Firestone in Vacaville, CA. I took my 2014 Hyundai Sonata in for an oil change on 8/2. After which it sat in my driveway till I went to work Monday morning (8/4). When I pulled out of the driveway there was an oil spot. I got home that evening and called Firestone. The Advisor (Brian) told me to bring it back in so they could take a look at it. He said it was probably just some left over oil that got spilled and needed to get cleaned up. In the mean time my boyfriend cleaned the driveway. The next morning (8/5) when I left for work there was a fresh oil spot. I was so upset that I didn't even want to talk to Firestone again. I gave them an opportunity to fix the problem and they didn't. I called the dealership where I bought my car and asked them about it. I left work early that same day to have the Service Department there take a look at it. JT put her up on the rack and we looked at the mess. It actually looked as if the car had over 100,000 miles on her with all the oil splatter. My car is less than 6 months old. JT said that there is a (special) washer that is to be replaced each time there is an oil change. Instead of replacing it Firestone re-used it. This caused me to have an oil leak. Not impressed at all with Firestone. I had to have the oil changed again. It's not the money that I'm upset about it's the quality of work from Firerstone. What should've just been handled the first time wasn't handled at all by Firestone. Yes I will contact Brian at Firestone when I've cooled off a bit. I won't allow them to work on my car again. LESSON LEARNED!!!

  • I had an extremely bad experience with the Firestone located in Tinley Park , Illinois
My Daughter took her car to Firestone of Tinley Park. First mistake.

She brought it in for an Oil Change, New tires and a front end alignment.
In July (about 4500 miles Later) Her engine has blown up. The cause lack of OIL.
Her car was towed back to firestone, where they were waiting for it. The car was not even off the tow truck and the hood was popped open. They pulled the oil filter right away. The oil filter looked like it was 2 years old completely clasped and slugged up with oil (I have pictures) The oil filter was not even one of theirs filters.

They (firestone) filled out the claim report. I told them I wanted to be present when the claims adjustor came in. A week had gone by no word from firestone. I just happen to be driving by and seen that my daughters car had been brought into the shop. and the claims adjuster was checking out the car.
I asked why I was not made aware of this, they had no answer. When the adjustor removed the oil filter, I had noticed that the Firestone store had cleaned up the filter it looked nothing like the photos I took. I took out my photos and showed it to the adjusted. But he did not listen to me or even acknowledge that I was even there, and only believed the firestone shop. I guess since Firestone pays the claim adjustor why would they ever have a claim against them.

They say that it is a third party but DO NOT BELEIVE THEM. They do not care about the customer.

Now my daughter needs a new car. We have $700 tires with 4500 miles on them and a lifetime front end alignment program, worthless, Does anyone want to buy some tires.

    Never TRUST FIRESTONE.

  • Subject: Hillside, Illinois Location
    To Whom It May Concern:
Only July 2, 2014 I took my truck into the Hillside location for tires and front end alignment. They ended up keeping it overnight to finish the work. I picked it up on July 3rd and it should have had a front end alignment.
On August 2, 2014 I put the truck in the shop for an unrelated problem and was told by that mechanic that that the “upper right control arm” needed replacing. When I explained that I had just had a wheel alignment that mechanic told me there was no way an alignment could have taken place and that problem was not caught. The same mechanic says that they no longer outsource to this Firestone location because of the many customer complaints they had and work that was not completed, but they charged for it.
I came home and called Hector Rivas at the Hillside Location who seem to blow this off as if this was nothing and that I needed to bring it back in, well at that point I believed that “TRUST” was gone and I could not jeopardized that happening again. But explained to Hector I would bring the truck back to again be aligned.
I had the work completed by the other mechanic and brought it back to Hector with my receipts, he was somewhat apologetic but at this point it was unacceptable to me and I was inconvenienced for an entire day. Hector looked at the receipt and showed me the readings his mechanic took as far as the first alignment (again unacceptable). I am not pleased because I expected better from a reputable dealer.
This is also a safety issue and someone needs to know that the Hillside Location is committing fraud and who knows how much. I have a credit card and everything with you, but I am truly considering finding another dealer. Please respond in writing with your thoughts. Thank you.

  • Hi My name is Carole Matthews. We have done business with the Pompano Beach Fla Firestone store sinceit was built an although the work is ok what they do there us quote, you a certain price an when you go to pick up your car its much higher, Last time it was $180 over what was quoted. I was amazed at all the complaints in this section about them page after page WHEW. Going to our local Sears nex time as I DO NOT LIKE being overcharged. continually

  • I am not from firestone and either they are paying you to write something like that or you are truly clueless. Now they may be under paid, and I would agree they probably are because they do not have a problem stealing, but then when someone don't have a problem stealing enough is never enough, which also means they don't have a problem lying and telling you there are things wrong with your car when there isn't.
I don't know how much you know about cars, but I do all of my own work, with the exception of inspections. So I went there for an inspection and they told me I needed new shocks, well I knew the ones on there were not that old but I said go ahead and throw some new ones on. So I started to go back and sit down and the guy behind the counter calls me back and says the mechanic wants to see me, so I go out and he shows me 5 stripped lug nuts on one wheel, little do they know, not only do I never use an air gun on my lugs but I also torque them to 100 pounds, which means they couldn't be stripped if I did it that way for 200 years. Of course I am the liar because they would never do something like that, BUT, that has been over 10 years ago and I tell that to anyone I can, so how much do you suppose I cost them in that time? Pay back is truly a beach.

  • Firestone is the worse place to go to have anything done. To get a state inspection, tires rotated and alignment haf to wait 4 hrs. I will never use Firestone ever again. Obviously to busy to want my business. To many other places to go that won't make u wait. This is crap. I told them i couldn't drop off my carcause no one could pick me, his reply was either wait or come back. I told him I could come back cause my state inspection was 2 days expired. He replied it will be done in 4 hrs have a seat. Never have I been treated like this from anyone. Done with Firestone

  • My son made an appointment with Firestone dropped his truck off. came back at closing to pick up his truck and the place was closed up with to people inside he phoned to get his truck and not only did they answer the phone they hijacked his truck failed to do the work and left him stranded. Oregon City Oregon

  • My mom took her car to the Firestone on Homestead Rd in Lehigh Acees, FL for an oil change. They told her she needed a piston replaced (800.00 total). She agreed as we were planning to move to another city soon & she wanted to be safe in the drive.
After she got the car back the car was smoming out of the exhaust, rattling, leaked oil, & was hard to turn left.
She spoke to the manager who said it was due to normal wear & tear, even though the car drove beautiful before they touched it!
She took it to Tuffy who informed her theres multiple leaks & among other issues, Firestone left a puddle in the pan & didnt change the oil causing the sediment to be pushed into the engine when changing the piston out. Tuffy tried to fix the HUGE smoke cloud that now comes out of the tail pipe at every start, but said at this point she would be better off getting a new car due to what shes already spent on this repair!
And all over asking Firestone for a oil change?!

  • Horrible work / customer service. The Firestone in Mechanicsville, Va. does not live upto expectations. The work that was to be done was completed but, the Tech. knew there were other issues with the automobile and let the owner pick-up the automobile with out fixing or letting the owner know about them.

    • I would suggest contacting your local television station and let them know how horrible Firestone is. I intend to do so here in Baltimore. I don't know where they get the mechanics……they take your money….sorry, the steal your money!

  • Horrible customer service. 2401 N Beltline Rd Irving Tx . These guys would fix my tire unless I gave then my personal information. Make and model of a vehicle is irrelevant. Just plug the tire. I drove up the road to Mobile auto repair and they got right on it!

    • These people are laughing at all of these anonymous complaints, you are showing one of 2 things, you either are one person with a big hate and if you are more than one you really don't matter anyway. My feeling about this are, firestone sucks and I hope they go out of business, and I have been harassed by bigger people than this.

  • McKinney, TX…I just left Firestone for the third time to have my car alignment done and of course they still can't get it right. They did tell me though that part of the problem was due to my right front caliper being put on backwards/upside down. But they were nice enough to fix for free for me. As I stood waiting on my car I called the local car dealership's service department and asked them if this sounded right and they said NO. Apparently it is not possible to put a caliper on upside down because the pins wouldn't line up. They also said even if you switched the right for the left it would pinch the brake line and I would have major break problems. So they lied, they tried to sell me more parts I didn't need and my car still isn't aligned. Firestone is nothing but liars and con-artist.

    • Why the anonymous, no guts no glory.
I'm not here to take sides with firestone, if they went out of business today it would be very heart warming.
But I do take issue with anyone telling stories, you need to think about your story before you print it for the world to see.
I am a back yard mechanic and I do all of my own work.
You can not put a caliper on backwards, that is true, then you said they were nice enough to fix it, which meant because you can't put it on backwards there is nothing to fix. But then you said they tried to sell you more parts, for what if they claim they already fixed it and for free.
      2 wrongs don't make a right.

    • The purpose of taking your vehicle to a professional is because we are not! We have to trust mechanics no different than a Dr or a Dentist to do the right thing and not make a situation any worse, If it sounds like some stories are confusing to you and we don't know what we are talking about, than it's likely we don't. I did not go to school to be a mechanic which means you mechanics can screw us if you want. How sad for us. I bought 4 new tires, firestone, nice tires and I got in an accident I need a new drivers front tire. The mechanic said whoever sold me the tires put the wrong ones on. NOW LETS LOOK AT THAT, I went to a freaking Tire store, Firestone in Ballwin,Mo. Your right I have no clue but isn't that the reason to go to a professional. So now 2 separate mechanics said they will not put a wrong sized tire on my truck. My insurance co will only pay for 1 tire so you do the math< I called firestone and they won't do a dam thing, I don't live there anymore. Idiots. I put my trust in them to know what they were doing and I am sure these tires were what they had in stock and they sold them to someone who wouldn't know the difference and they wanted to make the sale. The sizes are on the door I just found out. HaHa I guess it's my responsibility to look at that and NOT the tire expert at The Firestone TIRE STORE. Corporate office will get a call when I am done with this. But it intrigued me that you thought we should know exactly what we are talking about when it comes to cars. We are not the pros and should be able to trust haha I guess I am a glass half full kinda gal. Probably my downfall in life and I will and have been paying for crap getting done on a vehicle that don't need it because I am trusting my mechanic!!! By the way Sandy Powers is my name

    • Believe it or not, I'm on your side, these people are the true garbage of the earth. But, if you say something that is not true or couldn't possibly happen how does that make you look? They take advantage of you and then you don't have the proper information to complain about it, they actually got you twice. Before you do any kind of shopping for big items, type peoples name in ripoffreport, had you went there you would have seen the complaints on firestone. Invstigate everything you have to do, we live in a very corrupt world. God Bless, martym5@hotmailcom.
