  • I closed on my on July 3 ,2018. We have not been able to use our Master Bath sense it leaks water on to bath floor. They have made many attempts ,4 to be exact and we are waiting for the tech to return. Today we noticed the floor in hall in front of the laundry room has move about 1/2 inch from the wall. I have turned in over 20 service request and are still waiting for many of the to be addressed much less fixed. They talked a good story but very poor on doing anything

  • Kolter Homes Corporate Office does not respond to any questions or issues in terms of upholding their warranty. We bought our home last April. We paid for upgraded paint. The paint work in the interior of the home barely covered the walls. Kolter's solution: Send a 60 year old man with a tiny paintbrush! Laughable. Their "customer service" department staff is very difficult to work with and we have been told "nothing more". We still have drainage issues, electrical issues and items that were paid for but not installed. BUYER BEWARE!

  • Buyers interested in Cresswind Myrtle Beach DO NOT buy a home that runs along the farrow Parkway the tarffic noise is Horrible. of course the sales agents wont tell you that and we should have investigated the noise level more thoroughly.Before you buy take the time to talk with existing owners in the first phase along Farrow pkwy. Kolter should have invested in proper noise reduction but they went cheap. shame on us for buying this house and shame on Kolter for not creating a good experience for all of thier buyers.

  • BUYER BEWARE!!!! Kolter Homes kept our life savings.

    We moved to South Carolina in October 2013 and looked at the Cresswind community by Kolter Homes. We liked the homes and the amenities very much in this community. We found a home we loved, picked out our lot and moved our entire family to Myrtle Beach from the Chicagoland area. We delayed the building of our home so we could get our jobs established. We followed the "rules" that the mortgage company said would be necessary to obtain our mortgage, but in the end we were not able to get our loan, so we could not close on our family's dream home. Instead of Kolter Homes having some sympathy for our situation, they decided to keep our entire down payment of almost $30,000.00! Our entire life savings! I understand that we signed a contract, but they had the option of being a decent corporation, and did not. Instead they decided to punish our family so they could make more money. No other major builder in this area keeps your down payment if you are unable to obtain financing. Only this greedy organization! And to top it off they are selling our home for an additional $25,000.00, so will stand to make almost $55,000.00 in the end. Congratulations Kolter for being so money hungry and having no empathy for my family.

  • To whom it may concern;

    We have an ongoing issue in our house since we had moved into it in 11/2014. In both bathrooms, we had the toilets get clogged on numerous occasions. It has become a HUGE inconvenience for two reason; we lose the usage of one of the toilets until it is fixed and we have to miss a days work to be home for the plumbers.
    I would like to get in touch with the person in charge of your division/company in this region ASAP so we could get this issue resolved once and for all.

    Thank you,
