AT&T Corporate Office, Dallas Headquarters, Phone Numbers and Complaints

🗨  Comments

For an individual wireless, internet, billing, device, fraud or account complaint, use the service-specific number below. The corporate switchboard is intended for general company inquiries and normally cannot access a customer account.

AT&T Internet and Home Phone Customer Service: 1-800-288-2020.

AT&T Corporate Office Versus Customer Support

The corporate number, 1-210-821-4105, is associated with AT&T Inc.’s headquarters and general corporate inquiries. It is not the best starting point for most individual customer problems.

Use the route that matches the service:

  • Wireless bill, device, upgrade, trade-in, promotion, roaming, or account: Call 1-800-331-0500 or dial 611.
  • AT&T Prepaid: Call 1-800-901-9878.
  • AT&T Fiber, Internet Air, internet, Wi-Fi, gateway, or home phone: Call 1-800-288-2020.
  • Unauthorized wireless account or account change: Call 1-877-844-5584.
  • Unauthorized internet or voice account: Call 1-877-379-2319.
  • Business service: Use the number on the business bill or AT&T Business Support.
  • Unresolved formal dispute: Submit AT&T’s Notice of Dispute after using normal Customer Care.
  • Local store: Use AT&T’s store locator rather than searching for a local corporate office.

AT&T Dallas Headquarters and Planned Plano Move

AT&T’s current official headquarters mailing address remains 208 S. Akard Street in Dallas, Texas. The location is associated with Whitacre Tower and the AT&T Discovery District.

AT&T announced in January 2026 that it plans to build a new global headquarters campus at 5400 Legacy Drive in Plano, Texas. The company expects to begin occupying the new campus during the second half of 2028. A City of Plano agreement identifies the site as future AT&T global-headquarters operations.

Until AT&T changes its official corporate and investor contact information, customers, shareholders, vendors, and other correspondents should continue using the Dallas address for appropriate corporate correspondence.

Do not send correspondence to the future Plano campus before AT&T officially begins using and publishing that address.

AT&T Customer-Service Hours

AT&T’s general support overview lists its primary wireless and internet or home-phone support numbers as available 24 hours a day. However, specialized live-agent departments may operate on narrower schedules.

  • Wireless Bill and Account Representatives: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Central; Saturday–Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Central
  • AT&T Prepaid Phone Support: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Eastern; Saturday, noon–9:00 p.m. Eastern
  • Accessibility Support: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Central; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Central

Automated support, outage checks, account access, troubleshooting, and self-service tools may remain available when a specialized live-agent department is closed. Confirm current hours through the official support page before calling.

Does AT&T Have a Corporate Email Address?

AT&T does not prominently publish one general corporate or customer-service email address for routine wireless, internet, billing, equipment, promotion, refund, or account complaints.

Customers are generally directed to telephone support, secure chat, myAT&T, or a service-specific online form.

The email address ab***@*tt.net is for suspicious emails that appear to impersonate AT&T. It is not the primary address for ordinary billing or technical complaints.

What to Have Before Contacting AT&T

  • AT&T account number
  • Account PIN, passcode, or approved verification method
  • Telephone number or service address involved
  • Billing ZIP code
  • Device make, model, IMEI, SIM, or eSIM information
  • Router, gateway, modem, or equipment serial number
  • Current and previous bills
  • Payment confirmation or financial statement
  • Order number, trade-in confirmation, rebate record, or repair ticket
  • Store location and receipt
  • Promotion terms or screenshots
  • Dates and times of previous calls, chats, or store visits
  • Previous case, ticket, or confirmation numbers
  • The specific resolution requested

Ask for a case number, ticket number, reference number, or confirmation number before ending a call or chat. Keep a written timeline of each contact.

How to Escalate an AT&T Complaint

  1. Identify the service: Determine whether the issue involves wireless, prepaid, internet, Fiber, Internet Air, home phone, business, fraud, a store, or billing.
  2. Contact the correct department: Use the support number connected to that service.
  3. Explain the requested resolution: State whether you want a credit, refund, corrected bill, restored service, completed trade-in, repaired line, account correction, or written explanation.
  4. Request a case number: Record the representative’s name, department, date, time, and explanation.
  5. Ask for supervisor review: Explain what has already been attempted and what remains unresolved.
  6. Use written records: Save bills, receipts, screenshots, chats, tracking numbers, repair tickets, store paperwork, and promotion terms.
  7. Review the next bill: Confirm that a promised credit or adjustment actually appears.
  8. Submit a Notice of Dispute when appropriate: Use AT&T’s formal process after ordinary support has failed.
  9. Consider an outside complaint: Depending on the issue, an FCC complaint, FTC identity-theft report, state consumer-protection complaint, payment-card dispute, or 811 escalation may be appropriate.

AT&T Wireless, Device, and Account Complaints

Wireless complaints may involve:

  • Phone activation or upgrade
  • SIM or eSIM setup
  • Number transfer or porting
  • Device installment agreement
  • Trade-in or promotional credit
  • Device insurance or protection plan
  • International roaming
  • Tablet, smartwatch, or connected-device line
  • Suspended service
  • Unauthorized add-on or plan change
  • Store promise not reflected on the account

Before Contacting Wireless Support

  1. Identify the affected line and device.
  2. Confirm whether the account is active and current.
  3. Save the device agreement and promotion terms.
  4. Record the trade-in or order confirmation number.
  5. Ask whether the issue involves the device, network, SIM, account settings, billing system, order, or store transaction.
  6. Request written confirmation of any promised credit, exchange, replacement, or correction.
  7. Review later bills to confirm that recurring credits post correctly.

AT&T Device Returns and Exchanges

A new wireless device purchased from AT&T generally has a 14-day return or exchange period. Important exceptions, restocking fees, product requirements, and state-specific rules may apply.

Keep:

  • The original receipt and order number
  • The device, box, accessories, and manuals
  • The model, IMEI, and serial number
  • The return authorization and shipping label
  • The carrier drop-off receipt and tracking number
  • Photographs of the device before shipment

Remove personal information, disable activation locks, and follow AT&T’s instructions before returning a device.

AT&T Trade-In Complaints

AT&T’s promotional trade-in program generally requires the old device to be submitted within 30 days after activation of the new device. The trade-in deadline is separate from the 14-day return period for the newly purchased phone.

Trade-in complaints may involve:

  • A device allegedly received after the deadline
  • A missing or unrecognized tracking number
  • A trade-in value lower than expected
  • A device reported as damaged or activation-locked
  • A promotion that did not qualify
  • Monthly bill credits that never started
  • Credits that stopped after an account or plan change
  • A device returned through the wrong shipping process

How to Document a Trade-In Complaint

  • Promotion name and terms
  • New-device activation date
  • Trade-in confirmation number
  • Old-device model and IMEI
  • Shipping label and tracking history
  • Carrier acceptance receipt
  • Photographs of the device and packaging
  • Expected credit amount and term
  • Bills showing missing credits

Do not assume that a store’s verbal promise changes the written promotion deadline. Ask AT&T to identify the exact offer term or account note supporting its decision.

AT&T Billing, Payment, and Collection Complaints

Billing complaints may involve:

  • Unexpected charges
  • Missing promotional credits
  • Duplicate payments
  • AutoPay problems
  • Late fees or returned payments
  • Suspended service
  • Device installment balances
  • Final bills
  • Collection accounts
  • Payment arrangements
  • Taxes and surcharges
  • Bundle or multi-service discounts

How to Dispute an AT&T Bill

  1. Download the current and previous bills.
  2. Compare every line, device payment, service, fee, tax, discount, and credit.
  3. Identify the exact amount in dispute.
  4. Determine which AT&T service produced the charge.
  5. Ask the representative to explain the charge and provide a case number.
  6. Request written confirmation of any payment arrangement, credit, refund, or correction.
  7. Keep proof of payment and all communications.
  8. Review the next bill to confirm the adjustment posted.

A promised credit is not complete until it appears on the account or final bill.

What Is an AT&T COR DF Charge?

AT&T COR DF, ATT COR DF or T COR DF may appear as the merchant description for an AT&T device, accessory, equipment, sales-tax, down-payment or order-related card transaction. It may post separately from the recurring AT&T bill, particularly when a device order requires sales tax or a down payment at checkout.

Compare the amount and date with AT&T order history, wireless device installments, receipts, shipping notices and every authorized card user. A Dallas or Atlanta location in the description can reflect merchant or payment-processing information and does not prove where a purchase occurred.

The AT&T COR DF charge guide on ChargeOnMyCard.com explains common descriptor variations and verification steps. If no authorized AT&T purchase explains a completed charge, contact the card issuer promptly using the number on the back of the card. Do not use the corporate switchboard to report payment-card fraud.

AT&T Internet, Fiber, Internet Air, and Home-Phone Complaints

Call 1-800-288-2020 for AT&T Internet, Fiber, Internet Air, Wi-Fi, gateway, and home-phone support.

Complaints may involve:

  • Internet or home-phone outage
  • Slow or unreliable service
  • Installation delay
  • Missed technician appointment
  • Gateway or router failure
  • Fiber construction
  • Buried or exposed line
  • Property damage
  • Unexpected technician charge
  • Unreturned-equipment fee
  • Cancellation or final bill

Before Reporting an Internet Problem

  • Check AT&T’s outage information
  • Record whether Wi-Fi, wired internet, or all service is affected
  • Document speed tests at different times
  • Record gateway status lights and error messages
  • Save technician appointment confirmations
  • Photograph line, equipment, or property damage
  • Keep equipment-return receipts and tracking
  • Ask whether a technician visit may create a charge
  • Request a repair-ticket number

AT&T Downed Lines, Exposed Cables, and Property Damage

Call 1-800-288-2020 to report a drooping line, downed wire, unburied cable, exposed equipment, or obstruction.

If you do not have an AT&T account, tell the automated system “No account.” If asked whether you want new service, say “No,” then state “Line is down.”

Do not touch, move, cut, drive over, or approach a downed line. A communications line may be near electrical equipment or another hazardous utility.

For an Alleged Property-Damage Claim

  • Photograph the damage and the AT&T line or equipment
  • Record the date, time, and location
  • Identify the contractor, vehicle, or crew when possible
  • Keep repair estimates and invoices
  • Request a repair or damage case number
  • Do not discard damaged property before documenting it
  • Ask where supporting documents should be submitted

811 and Underground Utility Complaints

Call 811 before digging for a fence, pool, tree, landscaping project, mailbox, drainage system, or other excavation. The 811 system forwards the locate request to participating utility operators.

Keep:

  • The 811 ticket number
  • Date the request was submitted
  • Proposed excavation date
  • Names of utilities that responded
  • Photographs of markings or unmarked areas
  • Receipts for rented equipment or contractor delays

If AT&T’s facilities remain unmarked, contact the state 811 center and AT&T. Do not begin excavation merely because other utilities completed their markings.

AT&T Fraud, Unauthorized Accounts, and 1-877-379-2319

Contact AT&T promptly if:

  • An AT&T account appears on your credit report that you did not open
  • A collection agency contacts you about an unfamiliar AT&T account
  • An unauthorized line or device appears on your account
  • The account email, PIN, passcode, or contact information changes without permission
  • Your phone number is transferred without authorization
  • Your SIM or eSIM changes unexpectedly
  • You receive an unexpected password-reset or verification notice
  • Devices, accessories, charges, or plan changes appear without approval

What Is 1-877-379-2319?

AT&T currently identifies 1-877-379-2319 as its Voice and Internet Fraud number for reporting an unauthorized internet or phone account or an unauthorized change to one of those accounts. AT&T directs wireless-account fraud to 1-877-844-5584 instead. Verify either number on AT&T’s official unauthorized-account page before sharing personal information.

Caller-ID information can be spoofed. An incoming call displaying one of these numbers does not by itself prove the caller is AT&T. End an unexpected call and independently dial a number verified on AT&T.com.

If identity theft is involved, consider creating an identity-theft report through the Federal Trade Commission and contacting the credit bureaus.

AT&T Phishing, Scam Calls, and Suspicious Messages

Scammers may impersonate AT&T through calls, texts, emails, social media, search advertisements, fake support sites, and fake reward or credit offers.

Common claims include:

  • The account will be suspended
  • A payment failed
  • A bill credit or reward is waiting
  • A device upgrade is available
  • The phone number is being transferred
  • The customer must provide a PIN or one-time code
  • Payment must be made with gift cards, cryptocurrency, a wire transfer, or an unfamiliar app

Forward suspicious emails that appear to come from AT&T to ab***@*tt.net. Do not reply to the message or click its links.

Open AT&T through the official app or website, or call a verified support number.

AT&T Stores and Authorized Retailer Complaints

An AT&T-branded location may be a company-owned store or an independently operated authorized retailer. The sales channel can affect return authority, employee management, and escalation.

Store complaints may involve:

  • Promotion promises
  • Trade-in values
  • Device setup or data transfer
  • Activation fees
  • Accessory charges
  • Insurance or protection plans
  • Restocking fees
  • Unauthorized add-ons
  • Employee conduct
  • In-home sales promises

Keep the store address, receipt, order number, employee name, manager name, and promotion terms. Ask whether the location is company-owned or an authorized retailer.

AT&T Prepaid Complaints

Call 1-800-901-9878 or dial 611 from an AT&T Prepaid phone.

Prepaid complaints may involve:

  • Activation
  • Account number or PIN
  • Payment or refill
  • AutoPay
  • Plan renewal
  • Data or hotspot usage
  • Number transfer
  • SIM or eSIM
  • Device unlocking
  • Account expiration

AT&T may charge a convenience fee for certain one-time payments made through its automated phone system or an agent. Review the current payment information before completing the transaction.

AT&T Business Complaints

AT&T Business provides wireless, internet, fiber, voice, network, security, cloud-connectivity, and other services for organizations.

Business customers should use:

  • The telephone number shown on the business bill
  • The assigned account representative
  • AT&T Business Support
  • AT&T Express Ticketing when available for the service

Business-service complaints may require a circuit ID, billing-account number, service address, contract, ticket number, or account-team contact.

AT&T Notice of Dispute and Formal Escalation

A Notice of Dispute is a formal escalation to AT&T’s Legal Department after normal Customer Care has not resolved the problem. It is more than an ordinary telephone complaint.

AT&T states that its Legal Department has 60 days after receiving a completed Notice of Dispute to investigate and attempt a resolution.

Repeated Calls After Difficult Repair Request

August 26, 2026

AT&T, Endless Robocalls. Yesterday, it took me more than 2½ hours to request a repair for my home phone. AT&T has discontinued the online repair option at att.com/repair, so customers now have to call 800-288-2020 to request service. As if that wasn’t frustrating enough, AT&T has already called me three times since then, including today at 8:00 a.m. while I was sleeping. I also pay to keep my home number unlisted, and my number is registered on the Do Not Call list. Another major frustration is the difficulty communicating with some call center representatives. Combined with the static on my phone line, it was very hard to understand the representatives, and I was transferred from one person to another for more than 2½ hours just to request a repair technician. The entire process has been unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.

AT&T, A few weeks ago, I complained about why AT&T stores have disabled the payment kiosks that were installed so customers could pay their bills quickly. For more than a year, the kiosks I have seen have been marked “Temporarily Out of Order,” leaving customers to sign in and sometimes wait 20–30 minutes just to make a payment. After my complaint, a manager called and explained other payment options, even though my concern was specifically about the kiosks. As of August 25, my phone is again experiencing very loud static during both incoming and outgoing calls. I used to be able to request a repair online at att.com/repair, but that option is apparently no longer available. I now have to call another number to request service. Today, it took more than 2½ hours, from before noon until about 2:20 p.m., to arrange a repair. I had to go through the automated system and speak with several representatives, repeating the same information each time, including my name, phone number, address, password, and verification code. Some representatives were also difficult for me to understand, especially with the static on the line. This static problem has happened repeatedly, and I have already dealt with four or five AT&T technicians about it. Meanwhile, my bill has increased by about 60% over the past couple of years. I am frustrated that I am paying significantly more while continuing to experience the same recurring service problem.

AT&T Trying to get Number for Local Install Crew

December 12, 2025

AT&T, Trying to get number for local install crew? I have been getting the runaround trying to get someone to answer a question about upcoming install of fiber optics on a private road. Nobody has been able to answer any questions. No one can even tell me a supervisor’s name. Not impressed with any individual that they have sent out.

AT&T Disappointing Flip-Phone Issues

December 12, 2025

AT&T, Lack Of Support for Flip-Phone Users. My Flip-Phone failed, and I went to an AT&T Outlet to get a new phone as I have been paying insurance for some time. First, the clerk said they did not have that type, but I could buy one at Walmart. Why am I paying for insurance? AT&T HQ sent me a new FLIP-PHONE, but only my contacts came forward – and – NOT the blocks I had placed on the ROBO-CALLs. Second, I am a Day Sleeper due to my job, and I have been inundated with ROBO-CALLS from lenders for the past 6 months. They call 3-5 time a day between 8 AM and 10 PM and leave messages that prevents me from getting real-life messages. I paid AT&T $25.00/Month for technical support. When I called for the support, the technician did not assist me and blew me off. Third, I have a list of all the ‘lending offenders’ .
