Discover Hidden Charges Issue

February 17, 2025

Discover, My disappointing transaction with Medford Oregon store. I recently purchased an Arctic Fox 5th wheel. The agreed upon price was around $80,000 dollars. This is quite a large purchase for my wife and I. When we went into the finance office we were excited and a little overwhelmed. The finance person seemed really nice and knowledgeable. It all seemed to have gone just fine. We took our new 5th wheel and the paperwork and went home. We had given $20,000 down, so I expected the financed amount to be around $60,000. A few day later we get the the payment from the finance company and the payoff amount is $80,000 dollars. So my wife and I get out the paper work to see what happened. I am 71 years old and was rushed through the signing process. Now don’t get me wrong, it was my responsibility to closely and slowly go over all the paperwork. I didn’t. I was charged and extra $20,000 for fees I did not expect. The $80,000 dollar amount was every where I expected it to be and the finance guy was just saying sign here, sign here, sign here. We really like our new trailer and are excited to use it, but I couldn’t be more disappointed with my experience with Camping World and all the hidden fees I was not aware of or asked if I even wanted.
