Holiday Inn Express, accident claim. This memo is in reference to injuries sustained while staying at the Holiday Inn Express, Colorado Springs, Co. 1. At approximately 09:30 PM on Saturday, 7 September 2024, I checked into the Holiday Inn express, 1815 Aeroplaza Drive Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916. My plan stay/reservations were to check out the morning of 14 September. The facilities were great, and the morning breakfast was fantastic. 2. Unfortunately, on the morning of Sunday 8 September I was preparing to leave the Hotel I slipped and fell off of the curb/sidewalk adjacent/under the breezeway drop off in the front of the Hotel, subsequently breaking my ankle. You can clearly see how steep the sidewalk drop off is and the subsequent chipping on the edge of the sidewalk. Clearly a known hazard with no markings or railing to help prevent such accidents. See Pic below. 3. I was rushed to UCHealth Urgent Care Circle Square, 2767 Janitell Rd, Colorado Springs, Co by 2 colleges Patrick Stevens and Brent Epperson at 10:00AM, to Urgent Care where I was diagnosed with a clean break of the Distal Fibular. Upon return to the Hotel, I changed my reservations to depart the next day 9 Sept and Schedule appointment with Orthopedics by my primary care provider in Tampa, FL. 4. At this time surgery is not required but the bone fragment needs to be monitored for any movement over the next 2 weeks. If this occurs surgery will be required. In any event, recovery is 6-8 weeks, and foot needs to be elevated and secure for the next week. See image below: 5. In the meantime, Holiday Inn Express needs to do something to mitigate this hazard to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.

Holiday Inn Express Edmond OK

Recent stay at Holiday Inn Express in Edmond OK! I wanted to pass along a photo of the chair at the table in our room. The chair wasn’t even something I would have given to a thrift store to resell. Photo enclosed (hopefully). We stayed three nights and generally speaking the place was okay. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean. The shower and bathroom towels, etc where adequate. The price was good and the location good for us. The only “problem” was some of the furnishings very badly needed replaced. In particular, the office chair and the arm chair. Not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. Maybe they are not the motel I used to know. I would stay there again, however because of the location and price, but I would go with more realistic (lower) expectations. The breakfast on a scale of one to ten would be a seven… okay, but nothing to brag about or necessarily look forward to each morning. I’ll emphasize that the staff was nice. They don’t control the things that disappointed me.

Holiday Inn Express Non Working Amenities

We stayed overnight at the Calhoun South Holiday Inn Express in Georgia, on January 8, 2024 and were not impressed. The room was ok, but definitely in need of a thorough cleaning. The TV and refrigerator in the room did not work at all and the one bedside light did not work either. When a replacement bulb for the light was requested at 6pm, we were informed that the maintenance person had left, so nothing could be done. The next morning in the breakfast area one of the two toasters provided did not work properly either. These items were brought to the hotel manager’s attention and her response was far from satisfactory.

We have previously stayed at a competitors’ establishments, but felt we should give Holiday Inn Express a try. Based on the above, we will definitely stay with the competition!

Disappointed with current experience - Holiday Inn Express at 811 Grants Mill Rd

I stayed in your Holiday Inn Express at 811 Grants Mill Rd, Irondale, AL 35210 on 12/31/23 and checked out on 1/1/24. During check-in, I experienced a very disappointing situation. In the first room, I was given (room 204) the shower head was broken. The second room I was given (room 211) had someone lying in the bed, I alarmingly apologized for coming into their room and went back to the front desk upset at that experience because it could have ended very badly. The rep found me a room by going to check it first herself. I had to reach out and let someone know about this situation because I have been a loyal customer for decades (IHG# 855555650) throughout my military career and now in retirement. This is extremely troubling as I wouldn’t expect anything like this from such a well-known hotel name. Please remedy this situation so no one else is put in a situation like I was. Thank you for your time.

Hollywood Walk of Fame LA Complaint

My young adult son travelling from Australia had booked this accommodation for his final destination on a tour across America with a top deck tour. He stayed at Times Square Holiday Inn and had a great experience. We encouraged him to stay in a reputable hotel company as it was his first travel on his own. He had written to Holiday Inn in Hollywood to tell them he would be late to the hotel well in advance. During his trip, he had his wallet stolen and was using just his phone for all his transactions. He arrived at 2145hrs at the hotel and Hussain at the desk would not let him stay as he did not have a physical card. My son was distressed and called us on Facetime. Hussain would not talk to my husband and me. I then called the hotel and offered my credit card details over the phone etc. Hussain just kept saying it is not policy, we have procedures. So, my son had to go out on Hollywood Boulevard looking for accommodation. It was very disappointing. I find it very hard to believe a member of staff is not able to make a safe decision in the above situation. Very disappointing that the employee is so nervous.
